The charge is $80.00 a month per child, but if you have two you get a discount so it is only $150.00. You can come in for classes that are available all week, three times. They are open from 11:00-10:00 Monday through Saturday and Sunday open Mat by appointment. They offer group and private lessons. My girls just finished there first lesson and they loved it. During our time here Sensai and Ms. Johanna have held many events that are fun for the children. My son especially loves the nerf and star wars parties that are held annually. On top of that Sensai and Ms. Johanna do their best to give back to the community in which they serve. Holding things like break-a-thon, board breaking for good causes. They also take thier time to make each child in the program feel welcomed and part of their family. All in all we're happy that this is the dojo we have chosen to bring our son. While it's a bit nerve wracking walking into a studio for the first time, especially after not being in one for over a decade, the staff was so helpful and welcoming. The young woman at the front desk helped me check in and directed me to the studio. She gave me a heads up that another class was wrapping up and to hang out on the side and take a seat until my class started. Noelle's class was fantastic! She created such an inclusive and welcoming space. She encouraged making adjustments in the warmups and choreography to fit your abilities and comfort. The class started with stretches, then some across the floor warm ups, then learning the number and ended with an optional cool down. There was a nice mix of abilities throughout the class. The space is large and clean with room to leave your personal belongings in eyesight. Will definitely be doing this again soon!

I was in really poor health, but my boys pestered me to re-join. I agreed to give it a try....Over 5 years later my youngest is getting ready to test for his second degree and I am still training. I cannot tell you the difference it has made in all of us. My youngest is majorly focused on any task in life in and outside of the school. My health has improved 1000 fold. Garaguso Karate has classes for everyone from 3 years old to adult (I am currently 47 and I am not the youngest student) The youngest students learn respect, discipline, focus, and safety in an energy packed class tailored to their learning ability at that age. As they get older, the kids learn more of the traditional art of Tang Soo Do, light sparring as well as methods of self defense. These classes work to build confidence as well as the other aspects of the younger classes. The older kids (pre-teen) start fully into the traditional art and belt ranking system. More emphasis is placed on fitness challenges. Teens and adults classes are similar, but it allows partner work to be evenly matched. Also, the older classes allow for more attention to technical detail. There are also classes dedicated to fitness workouts, self defense/grappling and contact sparring. Garaguso Karate appreciates the beauty of the traditional art of Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan (under lineage of Grand Master Huang Kee) but understands that there is no one-best-way. They have integrated aspects of Jiu Jitsu, Krav Maga, Judo, Muay Thai and boxing to give a well rounded base for personal self defense. The best aspect of the school is the staff. Almost anyone can teach martial arts. It takes a dedicated person to teach martial arts well. The staff at Garaguso's are continually training. They also take the time to care about each individual student. My experience is that you become part of a family. There has been a huge confidence and positive attitude boost from all 3 of our kids attending classes as compared to when they first started (some needed it more). His legacy feels like it lives on here, even though I have only seen pictures and heard stories. We will never force our kids to continue studying martial arts. He really motivates you to work hard and get a good workout, even when I'm tired and really would rather be home. I really like that you actually learn the mechanics of kickboxing in a cardio class, other classes I've been to teach no footwork or how to punch/kick.
