I bought a 10-class groupon because the gym is close to my work, and I am so happy I did. I had tried kickboxing at other places, but this is 100x better than other classes I had tried. Rob is the instructor for cardio kickboxing and he is always super positive AND easy on the eyes! He really motivates you to work hard and get a good workout, even when I'm tired and really would rather be home. I really like that you actually learn the mechanics of kickboxing in a cardio class, other classes I've been to teach no footwork or how to punch/kick. I feel like I could be an MMA fighter now, after only a few classes - that may be a pipe dream, but I'm still really enjoying myself. Started researching good MMA places in the area recently for my husband. He and I used to go to Champions for Cardio kickboxing and muy thai. It got to be too expensive so we had to pass it up. I had found Mission MMA through a google search and I guess I had signed up for their email list. On 4th of July they emailed me that all their three class pass were half off-- at $9.99 that is really a steal. I entered some incorrect info when paying which led to me not getting an email. I facebooked them and they answered the next (since it was a holiday). They were really nice, courteous, and helpful. They even called my husband the next day and went over everything with him. My 6 year old son loves the classes and I find them to be great for discipline and structure. Unlike other sports, earning a higher belt gives him goals that are within reach and keeps him focused. I would highly recommend. read more

I have taken Martial Arts classes since I was 16 years old (I am 39 now). I have lived in New Jersey for over two years and tried various schools and finally made by decision to stay with Mission MMA . I like Mission for three reasons: 1) I have never received such personalized attention with focus on my individual needs and areas of improvements. 2) You can go as easy or as hard as you want. If you want to become a UFC champion, they have the World-class instructors to train you in all areas: Stand-up, Take Downs, Ground game - everything you need. But if you are like me - and want to focus on staying fit and healthy while challenging yourself to become a better martial artist - you can definitely accomplish that here. It's a very safe and friendly environment. 3) They don't just focus on the standard stuff like most schools do - Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. They have Akido, Krav Maga , Wrestling, Judo and other disciplines to make you a well rounded fighter - on the street, as well as in the ring. What happens when you take bacon and dip it in chocolate? The same thing that happens when Mission takes their one "negative," (which was the facility was a little small,) and moves to a much larger facility; awesomeness! I was already waving my Mission MMA flag when we were training out of a small space, now they've really outdone themselves. The new facility is on the same street, just a bit further down and the gym is literally 10 times bigger! There is so much room now its obnoxious. AND, to drop a little mixed martial arts cherry on the sundae, they now have UFC veteran Waylon Lowe teaching classes on Thursday nights! (Awesome guy Waylon, by the way.) The gym is still run by the same guys, and full of the same students that made the place the best MMA gym in the area (IMHO), but they now have the room to kick around and are expanding to include kids bully prevention classes, cardio kickboxing and much more. I know I'm coming off like a raving fanboy here, but this place really needs to be checked out if youre looking for a relaxed place to still be able to train seriously. This place is awesome! I have been going here since November to the cardio kickboxing class. It's a great work out. The class has people of all fitness levels and you can go at your own pace. The environment is very laid back and fun. Rob is a super awesome teacher. read more

This place used to be a place in which you could take your kids and they would actually learn the lessons of Martial Arts and the discipline involved with MMA, However, ever since they forced Coach Eddie and Coach Jimmy out the door, (because their popularity with the parents became greater than the owners) due to inflamed egos mostly on behalf of one of the owners Bill. This place is no longer a place to bring your children too. All, Bill cares about is money and nothing else. My best friend started taking classes here and then recommended this place to me. we both ended up taking cardio kickboxing for a while and absolutely loved it. However, I had to quit because of scheduling issues with my work. Each instructor has a bit of a different style, but each person is very helpful and offers excellent training. Great place to get a great workout and learn a ton! I've been going there for over a year and have not been dissatisfied yet! Rob is my instructor and he's the best! Very patient and also takes the time to show you the proper movements and stances. Not sure what the one person on here felt they needed to complain about? I've never had an instructor not show up, nor did they do the same routine. Sounds to me that this person was either not paying attention or just got into something they couldn't handle, so they just want to complain. If you're interested in martial arts and want a great workout , this is the place to be! Make sure you get a few sessions in with Rob, he's badass and knows his sh!t..!!! read more

Great gym, great people! I started coming in January of 2013 and haven't stopped. Fitness classes and martial arts classes are awesome at all levels. I had no prior martial arts experience-age 37-and started learning BJJ. I cannot believe I waited so long to try martial arts. I'll attend the strength and conditioning classes too. Rob always keeps you guessing with the workouts. This is the place to be if you want to be challenged and have a great time. My only warning is that attending classes here is addictive!!! read more

If you want to pay $75 a month to feel like you're working out in someone's garage then this is the place for you. I did like kickboxing for awhile; it is a good workout and pretty fun. Problem is that they never really change the workout so your body gets too used to it. Also, they close for any reason they please and sometimes no one shows up to teach class (or notifies you.) So eventually I decided to quit. The owner told me that I would be charged 2 more months for a contract I never signed! I fulfilled my initial contract and apparently they automatically sign you up for a new one without even telling you. The owner was extremely rude and unprofessional in this manner which was not too surprising because the place is unprofessional. It seems as though they don't realize that they're running a business. Whatever works for them is supposed to work for you I guess....DO NOT GO HERE. It is a ripoff! read more
