I even took a buddy of mine to a class, who attends a different gym, to check out how amazing the environment and instruction is with this location. He couldn't stop talking about how technical the instruction was and how great the team members were. This school is part of a network with some of the best gyms in the State of New Jersey. Professor McHugh, Coach Tony, Coach Pete, and Coach John are all extremely well versed in BJJ and have a true gift for teaching the technical side of BJJ. Positions and submissions are broken down to the basic elements with steps to ensure understanding prior to moving on to more complex technique. This gym offers a beginner class with Fundamentals and then continues with intermediate and advanced Gi classes. No-gi is available as well, but Gi is the majority of instruction. It is a true honor and pleasure to be a part of such and amazing gym and learning environment. I have made some great friends here and look forward to continue that in the future. Tomorrow is my 2 month anniversary since joining Daddis, but first, let me take you back; my…read moreteenage years, i went away to summer camp every year. I remember doing rabbit hops at nighttime because we got caught whispering after hours, daily early morning sweats, blazing sun cardio drills. The sense of comraderie, team, unity, accomplishment: immeasurable. Even the food/mush tasted delicious, water was amazing, but even in those grueling moments when i hated to be there, i remember feeling this sense of 'this is a defining moment in my life.' Friendships felt truer, my muscles felt worked, my spirit felt good, i slept like a baby at night... Daddis gives me that same feeling; and at 35, that's not an easy feeling to recapture. It feels so good! The people here are great, not just coaches, but other gymgoers. No egos. Executives, moms, blue collar dads, we all share an urge to be fitter, stronger, empowered. I say these things, not to promote mmbrshp. In fact, I would prefer people not join. Smaller classes mean more focused, individual attention for me from elite athletes in their domain. I LOVE to get 1:1 or 1:2 coaching! Look, 2 yrs ago, i was 80lbs heavier than today. 2 yrs ago, I commited to healthier lifestyle and I lost 40lbs with diet and moderate exercize. But it wasn't until I ramped up my workouts that I got real (noticeable) results. I lost 50lbs in 6mos because I worked my butt off, sweated, and grinded it out. I feel good today. My entire life is richer. My quality time has a greater quality. Energy, mood, body, spirit. These are invaluable benefits. Yet, the other benefits are pretty great, too: empowerment, strength, fitness, stamina, agility, confidence... shall I continue? Be your best YOU! Sincerely, H-bomb (HF)

As someone who's gone to this gym from time to time, there are a few pros & cons that I will list…read moreout in detail to help you better understand as to whether or not this gym is for you! Pros: The gym has a LARGE amount of amenities. There are two basketball courts (which are also used for pickleball), an indoor lap pool with hot tubs, an outdoor swimming area with slides (at an extra charge). There are classes, a ton of different machines for both cardio and lifting, and a really clean and upscale atmosphere. People tend to mind their own business and the staff have on average been helpful, at least in my experience. There is also a kids "daycare" if that's what you call it. A lot of parents will use this so they can have time to work out and actually work. There's a little area right next to the cafe that has tables and outlets. I see a lot of people with MacBooks doing work. They probably work remotely. Who knows. Cons: The price point for this gym is definitely the highest of them all coming in at $220.00 a month per person. IF you are married or you can prove cohabitation, you can add an additional person on your account for around $100 a month. This gym definitely has a crowd that is very gymcentric. This isn't a bad thing. But some people who are looking for a more chill or less intimidating atmosphere may think twice. I was one of these people until I decided to just not care. But that's easier said than done. The gym can be exceptionally crowded at peak hours. So if you plan on going daily I'd do my very best to avoid late afternoons on weekdays and nights on weekends. I was hoping the bathroom situation would be a little better but, there seems to be 2 bathrooms for ladies and men of course (from what I've seen). And with the amount of people there sometimes, it can be a little bit hectic. The locker room is fine and the showers are just average. At the price point of $220.00 I was expecting some futuristic pod shower than also does your taxes but, we all can't have what we want. The outside swimming area is an additional monthly charge, by the way. Conclusion: So take it or leave it. The price point is HIGH, but there are a lot more amenities and options for machines than any other gym out there. Is that justified? I don't really know. So three stars. Until they have a robot that does my taxes, then it might go to 4.
