I have nothing but positive things to say about Underground and the entire team that works there. It upsets me to read one bad review out of all the positive ones. Clearly that person is either in competition with Underground or has a personal vendetta against Jamie. Jamie, Is sweet, kind, and the glue of their business. She adores her husband, the students and is great to all parents. Coach Mark, Jamie, Phil and all the others leaders there care about the children and their community. They hold several (optional) fun fundraising events and the money goes to local organizations. They are a huge supporter for autism. They are positive motivators and are advocates for bully prevention in our local school district. They are always upbeat, positive and full of energy. My son was very shy and lacking confidence when he started and now he is the opposite. The coaches pay attention to every child, giving extra boasts to those who need it and not only teach martial arts, but being good students, friends, sons/daughters, sisters/brothers, etc. Having so many students speaks to how well they run their business and all the great relationships they have built over the years. My son had a problem with a student in school, we later found out he was a student at Underground and Coach Mark handled the situation perfectly. The two are now friendly in and out of school. This school builds not just their muscles and martial arts ability, but also their spirit. It is clear they love what they do and are in it for much more than a "business". read more

I cannot say enough great things about the Growth Dojo. My family and I have been members for 4 years now and we will continue to train as long as possible. Over the course of those years, myself, my husband and two teen daughters have all earned our black belts. We have also learned to overcome obstacles, self defense techniques and skills from different types of martial arts. We have also made lasting friendships with other members who encourage and support each other, on and off the mat. My family has been with Underground for three years now and it has been a truly life changing experience for us. The kids (7 and 11 yrs old) have developed better social skills, confidence and motivation as well as being better equipped to handle being bullied. It has become my Oasis. This place is so much more than just a martial arts dojo. The lessons they teach about respect, helping others and reaching your potential resonate not just with the kids but also the adults. My son and I both take classes there. They've been our source of clarity and motivation even before the pandemic started but they've even upped their game since then. Our mental health wouldn't be as good as it is if we didn't have them to guide us along the way. I met Coach Mark and Miss Jamie and immediately let my husband know that we did not need to look at other schools. My son, who was afraid to get on the school bus, now walks with confidence. My son, has been doing the 5 year old class for about 5 weeks now and the transformation from when he started, to now is mind blowing. He is more focused and listening better both on and off the mat. They make it fun for the kids so they get all of their energy out, but also stick to the task at hand. Coach Mark Moore from Underground Martial Arts & Fitness Center is such a positive role model for my daughter. Dakota started her martial arts journey just a few months ago, but she absolutely loves going each and every day. My son joined in the spring during the height of covid. Even on zoom classes I could tell this place was a perfect fit. From the positive attitude of the coaches and the welcoming from the kids made us feel right at home. He's now training for his advanced yellow and still loves going to class every day. We love the growth dojo! We have a 6 and 9 year old that attend the classes there. They have both been going since they were 5 and love it! It's such a motivating experience every class in all different aspects of life for them. They touch on confidence, focusing, respect and over all integrity. They always have great take aways. Coaches seem great, but it's a factory of kids who all follow through the money-grubbing system. The wife who runs the office has no idea how to build relationships; she's more concerned with smiling at the dads and eyeing the moms up and down. There are so many kids packed into each class I've actually been concerned in event of a fire hazard. read more

The coaches are amazing at the dojo! They take the time to help out each kid on the mat. My daughter is learning so much! Not only is it karate and self defense but their words of wisdom are so inspiring! It has helped my daughter with her self confidence both inside and outside of the dojo. Since I signed my child up at The Growth Dojo, I have seen a ton of growth. He's grown more confidence and he displays more discipline.
