It's a great club offering trap and skeet shooting, in both leagues and and non-leagues. They have open shoot hours on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It's $7 a round for non members, which is a great price. They have a little bar inside that serves drinks (both non alcoholic and alcoholic), though no alcoholic beverages are permitted outside on the trap fields. They also have some snacks and some food to order as well. They have multiple fields for booth trap and skeet and it can get really busy, but they handle it well. It's a great place to come and do some shooting.

I loved the vibe inside they a have a counter to book your shooting times, tables and chairs in the center and bar at the other end. They offer trap shooting, skeet shooting and I believe they have a range of sorts as well. The staff reminded me of the men in Grumpy Old Men and I loved it. They have food for order and alcohol, though no alcohol is allowed out in the shooting area. It's $5 for members for trap/skeet and $7 for non members. We had a good time and a good experience and will be returning!

There are also lessons available for kiteboarding. They will make sure you are covered if you want to enjoy some active time when you are at the beach. I was lucky to come across this awesome business through a local event, Paddle through the Past for the Town of Evans Bicentennial. Lake Erie Watersports partnered with the Town of Evans for the event and donated some equipment rentals so people could participate. I greatly appreciated this because I myself don't own a stand up paddle board. I also admire a business owner who shares what they have and what they love with their community. Kris, the owner was very friendly and helpful. It was easy to arrange my rental and get the details of what I needed to do from her. She attended the event and was also a participant. This was my first time paddle boarding at 18 mile creek and I didn't realize it would be different than going in the lake. It was obvious she was the expert and gave some great tips on how to navigate through the creek because some areas are more shallow than others. If you want to try stand up paddle boarding it might be easier to learn in the creek if it's deep enough. The lake can get too rough quickly and it can be frustrating if you can't get up at first. You can park at Lake Erie Watersports or they can deliver your rentals to you. Your location must be within 10 miles of Angola. I highly recommend them for your summer outdoor rental needs!

However, I spent half a day at the course at the first hole - now don't go crazy on me - I was there for a valid reason. At the first hole, I set up our company's corn hole boards. Each four-person team selected one person to throw a bag. Once they picked who that was - someone else from the team would pick a card and the card indicated how they had to throw the bag. If they got it in - they could minus a point and if they didn't - they gained a point and pictures were taken. Drinks were plentiful throughout the course and I heard from a lot of players that it was one of the best courses and by far a great day. The owners were their the entire time and they are the best people I could have asked for - no one was a golf snob and if I ever retire and have time - I'll be back to this course and take some lessons!

I went early in the morning and it was so peaceful and quiet around the course. I've really wanted to go back and play there again. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the tee boxes were a little beat up from golfers not replacing their divots. Other than that, I loved this golf course.

Frank picked us up at our requested location and drove us to wineries of our selection. He was very knowledgeable of the area and gave great recommendations. The property is maintained by both the town and county. When you enter, there are soccer fields…read more They are used by a local youth soccer organization, so don't be surprised if it's crowded on a weekday evening during soccer season. Overall though, this park sits mostly empty. The property was formally owned by the Wendt family, but the county has not maintained the house, guest house, and stables. They are all Boarded up and painted white. I think in the 60s or 70s a restaurant operated in the main house. People come to this park for the quiet beach access. Between a cut in a hill, you can access the beach. It has twigs and stones scattered about. It's certainly not maintained or swept with a tractor. If there were any recommendation, it would be to sweep this beach with a tractor regularly, I think the park would really generate a lot more visitors. The bathrooms were in great condition and very clean. There is a mural on the exterior bathroom wall. And, this year, the county's bike-hike trail was entered through the park. You could travel to Bennett beach from there by using the trail. There are picnic benches. I was there recently where a small birthday party was held.
