They have since scaled back to just threading and eyebrow dying. I find them to be the greatest, most genuine, professional, and friendly people you'll ever meet! I usually use either Gina or Rosie, but am comfortable with all of them. You can schedule an appointment on line, but walk ins are welcomed. I admit that I have never had my brows done by Kristina (how dare I?) my review, however, is for her professionalism, customer service, leadership and genuine ethical manner. I reached out to Kristina last year in 2020 because she was, and still is highly, highly recommended by pretty much everyone on Facebook in bergen county, NJ and beyond. She was also coincidentally referred by numerous friends in my town. When I finally spoke to Kristina I admitted that I was not one to 'get my brows' done because of my lack of hair in the area. I'm pretty bare. What I was seeking was a micro-blade specialist. Well, kuddos to Kristina!! !!! She didn't try to lure me to her (although she is a master at what she does! ) just look at her website and reviews! She didn't offer to apply grande brow to help my natural brow grow to have me as a return customer (that actually works by the way-Not knocking grande brow at all!! ) Kristina was genuinely looking for my best interest at heart. What a professional!! She suggested I go to someone that I ultimately went to. When I arrived for my microblading session they didn't even know who Kristina was!! Now that's honorable!! They didn't even know who she was! Anyhow, we are always quick to add negative reviews but this is totally valid and I am extremely grateful!! I am someone who doesn't get anything 'done' therefore I was nervous and cautious for many many years and finally opted for microblading which was HUGE for me!! Not to mention permanent and the price tag that comes along with is!! Kristina changed my LIFE!! (Not exaggerating -or maybe just a bit.) By the way, I should have written this review ages ago as this occurred last year in 2020 and I finally got my brows done during early covid. Now, almost a year later I am satisfied and I owe it all to Kristina!! FYI Kristina was in another establishment prior to opening up this own business of hers. I appreciate that she took her time shaping them and making sure I was comfortable with the shape, and the results are amazing--they look so natural, which is what I was going for. What I especially appreciate is the welcoming vibe of the staff. Brenda took her time to explain every detail and make me feel comfortable. Lennia gave me insight on the different services and checked in on me during the process. I recommend getting the eyebrow tinting or lamination first for people who feel shy about getting the permanent procedures done. I had my brows done in January of 2021 and went back for my touch up sometime in March of 2021. They cancelled my appt for touch up due to a snow storm and couldn't accommodate me sooner for touch up. It had been about 11 Months since I had my procedure. I am writing my review now because I wanted to wait for the final results. Julianna did a very good job. I healed rather quickly and never had an issue! I protected them and still do every day with sunblock and try not to put face creams on top. I am happy with my experience and brows as they do look natural. That is something where Julianna excels at-she ensures her clients do not look crazy or too made up regardless of their requests. She genuinely takes pride In her work and it shows. Mine are darker than what she had originally suggested as I opted for combo brows-micro blading and shading. I love the color and so love the look! My brows look great and dive received many compliments-even from strangers! I do admit, however, that I along with a few others noticed a few imperfections. When I went in for my touch up I told Julianna that I was concerned they were slightly different and she said they were fine. She barely touched them during touch up. She is the pro though therefore I guess that's a good sign? She's confident in her work but she should have paid more attention to my concern bc I see it even more now . One is slightly shorter and slightly thinner than the other which extends horizontally and is thicker than the other. I didn't have perfect brows to begin with-don't believe any of us do and I guess she can only do so much! LOL I do believe she could have made more of an effort to touch them up especially after I voiced my concern. Shame on me for not speaking up again but I did confide and trust her. Nonetheless, they look good. I received a referral for Julianna by Kristina from Browsbykristina At the Strand Salon in Paramus. She is a master brow artist and she highly recommended Julianna. When I went in and told Lash and Brow that Kristina referred me they didn't even know who she was! In fact, Kristina refers all of her clients here just because of Juliana's great work. I'm hoping they will last the 3 years I was told they would last. It was something I contemplated for many years and I do love to wake up with brows as I feel they frame your face! Christy is an expert at what she does, I expected it to be a little painful, it wasn't. I have sensitive skin so I thought my eyebrows would be red for a while, they weren't. Anyway, I gave Hudson Beauty bar a call and requested to be an appointment as soon as my gf annoyed me yet again after doing my makeup one evening. Ester was amazing from the minute we talked. I easily made an appointment to come in for a consultation and we discussed what I was looking to do and how much it would cost. I came into HBB on a Tuesday late afternoon as she was finishing up another client. She profusely apologized and told me to take a seat and grab anything I wanted from the mini fridge. Once she was done, we chatted for a bit and then she sat me down in the chair and drew out how eyebrows would look (I dId show her a picture so she had an idea). She said she could go ahead or I could come back. I told her to go ahead with the whole thing and we picked out the color I wanted them. She then applied some numbing cream and waited 20 min. The procedure itself did not take that long. 20-30 tops. It hurt a tad bit at first, but then I was fine. When she showed me the final look, I actually gasped. I was (am) so speechlessly happy. I am sooooo very glad I did this. I feel like it brought a new look to my face! I loVe the way I look and would highly suggest the procedure and this salon to anyone! She basically wanted to argue with me. Telling me "I should've read the text message" I did read it! No where did it say I had to book online.. this was my experience as a first time client. What a joke! I'm glad I didn't get my brows done there. She probably would've messed them up on purpose. Why give NEW customers attitude? I don't think this place will be around for long with that type of business attitude. What a shame. Super super rude!
