The building manager (Joe) and owner (Henry) are LIARS and THREATENED me with a lawsuit because I had the nerve to ask for my security deposit back when I moved out! Can you believe that!? I paid on time every month! The room was in better shape AFTER I left than when I moved in! I should have known this was a bad place when they said they accept CASH ONLY as payment and DO NOT GIVE RECEIPT of the rent payments! I also asked for a written contract which the owner said he would send over, but never did. We only had an ORAL CONTRACT. The building manager lied saying I never paid for the last month when I did, then when I said I would call the owner to remedy this, the owner called me before I could and cussed me out over the phone saying I threatened his building manager (which I did not) and then threatened me with a lawsuit! Totally insane! I rented here for over 2 years, and stayed mostly because moving all the equipment out would have been a huge hassle. During the 2 years, someone with access to my room (building manager, owner, or someone they're associated with access to the room keys) came into my PRIVATE space and BROKE EQUIPMENT! Half the lugs on my toms were broken due to someone playing my drums incorrectly! The tom was untunable and I needed to order parts from the manufacturer to fix it. I mentioned this to the building manager AND owner and nothing was ever done. About a month later, even though my space was on the 1st floor of a 2 floor building, WATER started dripping from the ceiling onto electronic equipment! I notified the building manager, and said he was aware, the roof was leaking, but I was never notified! No reparations were made for the damage that occurred in this instance either! This place is run by the scum of the Earth and should be avoided at all costs! There are all kinds of vagrants hanging out around here as well, and the security here is terrible. I saw a drunk walk into the studio, and urinate out the front door! I notified Joe, but nothing was ever done. If you're looking for something in the area, take your business elsewhere, there is a much more reputable rehearsal studio just a few blocks from here that actually has SECURITY just search Google for it.

I'm a professional guitar player who was visiting Philadelphia from the west coast and decided to check out local music stores. The store was clean but beyond appearances this place was terrible. All the guitars I tried were dirty and out of tune; I told an employee that the truss rod needed to be adjusted on one and he didn't know what that was (a music store employee should know what that means). I couldn't hear myself try the guitar because the sole employee was signing and playing at the top of his lungs. I then asked him about how the teacher employment worked at their store and not only could he not answer, but he couldn't give me anyone's email or phone number to contact with questions.
