We have had a very inconsistent experience with Kapp's in the past. Sometimes they've done a good job, other times the technician missed half the yard. Yesterday, Martae was our technician and he was THE BEST. Not only did Martae get every spot on our property, but he took the time to do a walk through our yard with my wife to make sure he didn't miss anything. This was top notch service and we could not be more pleased with him. We hope to get Martae from now on. read more

I used Kapps in the past and stopped using them because I was unhappy with the results. I received a call today from them wanting to restart my service. When I told the rep I was unhappy with previous service he hung up on me without asking what my problems were or what they would do to get my business back. They will not have to worry about that. I've lived at my residence for 24 years and had many lawn care services over the years. Never very happy with any of them. Kapps has been my lawn care service for the last 4 years and they are great. My neighbors ask me how I keep my lawn looking so good and I tell the Kapps lawn service. My lawn technician is Shane Simon. He is very knowledgeable on lawns. Takes care of any weeds and cleans up with a leaf blower if there is any fertilizer on my sidewalk or driveway. Give Kapps a call. read more

It was interesting to read the reviews posted here because I have NEVER had any of these experiences with Kapps and I used them for years at two different home locations. I want to address each of the things people said: 1. They TELL you up front, their services are continuous from year to year and that you can stop them at any time. This is not hidden. It is in writing on your estimate and then on the bill. This is NOT a scam either. There are HUNDREDS of companies that provide services this way. (Best Buy Service Policies, Home Warranty policies, Life Insurance, Home owners, Car Insurance, the Newspapers to name a few.) Once you sign on, it continues until you say stop, AND THEY STOP. 2. They give you the OPTION of having different services added or taken away each year. I had grub treatment and then canceled it the next year, no problem. I just had ant and tick treatment and they offer a package so you get it at a discounted rate, BUT you are free to cancel after the first application. I can tell you, THEY GOT RID OF THE ANTS, period. 3. If you REQUEST for them to let you know when they are coming, they do. I receive both text and phone call messages when I ask them to let me know when they are coming. 4. Customer service has ALWAYS been kind; they listen, fix an issue, and adjust when necessary. Bottom line is that I investigated many lawn service companies and used two different lawn services and Kapps was without exception the easiest to work with, the most reasonable in price and products. I absolutely recommend them. read more

Do NOT hire this company! We agreed to a one time treatment of flea and tick. The next month they did not talk to us just proceeded to treat our yard to another flea and tick application! When we called them to complain why they are providing unauthorized treatments they advised they sent a letter! Not a signed contract or agreement just a letter they created. This means whatever THEY decide to include in their letter of what they will do each month to your lawn, you are never asked for approval or agreement. We also have no idea if they actually treated our lawn, just had a bill shoved in our front door. No call they were coming out or that they had just treated the lawn. This is a company with very questionable and underhanded practices that charges you for treatments you never authorized, sends letters with applications you never agreed to or signed for. So we paid them for a service we never authorized nor can prove they ever came out and actually did the treatment! Beware of this company! Update: spoke to a manager last night who agreed to delete amount owed and he would send us an email this morning stating no money was owed. Instead he filed a response to our complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau listing nothing but lies and things that never happened. read more

I Paid 76.00 a month for lawn care . My Lawn continued to have weeds , and multiple brown spots . Also I have a 500 dollar water bill ,from watering the lawn . My Neighbors yard looks better than mine , without any fertilizing . The Manager was arrogant ,and told me it was due to watering the lawn in the evening . Waste of money ! Nothing but excuses after I was promised that this wouldn't happen .. great customer service read more

If anything the lawn looks worse. We had a death in the family and canceled the service and paid the remainder bill, only to receive another bill a month later saying they forgot to charge for an additional treatment. These guys are sheisty crooks!! I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy! read more

My only complaint is they should have warned me of the crabgrass potential while we could have treated it in the beginning instead of feeding so it grows about of control. But the grass itself is green and healthy all the other weeds are gone. I'm just a bit perturbed about the crabgrass that out of control now until fall. read more

I had them treat our lawn last year. Compared with others, their price is comparatively high, but the result turns to be no better or even worse. I had to buy extra weed killer from Lowes for my lawn, which means they, at least partially, failed in what they were supposed to do. Another odd thing, we did not ask them to treat our lawn this year, but they came and started to bill us. After communicating with their staff, we were told the contract is automatically renewed. Let us put it this way --- does a decent company renew any membership/contract without confirming with their customers or without sending out new contract? I do not want to say this way, but it is like a fraud. When a business starts to earn money like this, it is on the track of dying. We will never trust this company any more. read more

Had lawn application on 6/13/18. Note from tech says that treatment will help with Red Thread fungus. I thought that was great that the treatment would take car of my lawn. That was $69.02. The next day I get another bill and treatment for fungicide - $100.05. First bill and treatment on 6/13 said will address Red Thread - (red thread is a fungus I found out last year - they have been treating my lawn for 3 years). Second bill and treatment is fungicide for the Red Thread. The problem is - I didnt authorize it. No one said I had Red Thread prior to 6/13 and the bill from 6/13 said it was addressed. I called office and office manager acts like I am crazy - their company policy is that if you had an additional service in any given year that it automatically rolls into the next year and they do it without notifying or asking BUT they do charge you. I get calls 1-2 times a month asking to sell me more additional services but no one can call me prior to treating my lawn? Even though I requested that I be contacted last year prior to treatments because of another problem I had with weeds that never went away until I watched a guy spray them and then they went away. I only paid half that bill last year and told them when the weeds get treated I would pay the rest and I did 3 days after the weeds died. I got a late fee from their office. I am warned from reviews to make sure I communicate by certified mail with them so I will be doing that. read more
