Then while I was browsing around another customer greeted me and was very helpful and saw I was browsing in the area having just a little bit of trouble. He helped me find all 4 of my items within minutes and I was checked out and walking out of the store in less than 10 minutes. I just want to say thank you to your staff for being so helpful and very outgoing with their customer service skills. I had an extraordinary experience coming here today and was amazed at how much time they saved me to be able to get back on the road and resume my deliveries.

I pointed out that it would be cheaper for me to drive to the supplier in South Carolina and pick it up myself, including two nights in a hotel room, than to pay their shipping cost. The attendant assured me that cheaper shipping was not possible for a large item. I bought and shipped the canoe to my front for $900 from REI, and they even gave me an $89 gift card for my purchase. Nearly $400 in savings for picking a more understandable store.

On Saturday, April 4, I wanted to purchase a pair of jeans. I found the pair that I wanted to…read morepurchase. Ironically, there were two price signs for the same jeans. One sign had the jeans listed at $64.99 and the other sign had the same jeans listed at $54.99, with no differences in the signs except the price. When I asked at the customer service desk which price I would receive, the employee rang up the jeans at the $64 pair. I showed him the photo of the tags next to each other. His comment was that the jeans might be different since one pair was lighter. I enlarged the screen to help him see that the jeans under that $54 sign were a different model. He contacted his supervisor who also commented that it was an error and someone had not removed the sign. She also commented that she was going back to remove the $54.00 sign. They did not offer to sell me the jeans at the lower cost, (so much for their price match, huh). Instead, they were very solid in not selling the jeans at the reduced cost. What I did not disclose to them was I had two t-shirts at $23 each, plus another item for $120.00, and a pair of shoes for $80.00 that was also an intention to purchase. Essentially, because they were adamant about not reducing the jeans to $10 each for a $20 reduction of my cost, they lost a $330 sale, and a desire for me to never shop in their store again.

In any case we will no longer shop in a store that does not do returns that refund the total purchase price (the only store I know that does this is Harbor Freight with their "restocking" fee). They do have a decent selection, this being small town Manhattan KS. Value is ok. I also felt they treated us differently because we do not look like your average midwestern Kansas red neck type people.
