I cannot praise Kano enough! We had a few different groomers in the last 4 years but didn't really feel great about any of them. None of them were terrible..but not great either. Then the lockdown happened and we didn't know who to help us with our baby's nails. We have a 160lb bear-dog (German Shepherd/Malamute/Tibetan Mastiff) who is a huge big baby and gets scared easily, especially having to go into those doggie salons and likely feels extra stressed there. Kano changed that for us! One of the neighbors recommended her and we contacted her. She got us in way quicker than I expected and was so sweet as well! She whipped through our dogs' nails, trim, and de-shedding like it was nothing (in a good way!)! lol Our Grizzly bear usually pulls and hides from everyone but he just let her do her thing. She also gave him treats as she went along and man...was he into her lol! I am SOOO happy to say we finally found someone we are going to stick with indefinitely! Kano's Pet Grooming is excellent! I scheduled with her online and she confirmed right away (so easy compared to other groomers I've tried to contact or go with who don't respond or confirm). Most groomers also don't deal with cats but she was able to do a bath and trim for my super grouchy 10 year old cat. Kano was right on time and had a wonderful and positive spirit! I had an extremely bad experience with another groomer who actually shaved my dog without permission. Most groomers will say they have experience with double coated breeds (when sometimes they have no clue), but with Kano it is actually true. She knows exactly how to groom my gigantic 140 lb. double coated pup, and he is beyond gorgeous. He loved her the minute she stepped out, and I knew he would be in good hands. She took the time to make sure his undercoat was properly brushed out, and trimmed him to perfection. Kano responds quickly and unlike most other mobile groomers, she does cats! I have a long haired cat that needed a wash and trim/shave due to matts. Kano gave me a heads up on her arrival time, arrived on time, was friendly and asked a bunch of questions to make sure we were both on the same page about what should or shouldn't be cut, etc. I fully expected her to call me after 15mins and say my cat is too difficult, but 1.5hrs later, both had survived and in seemingly good spirit! Kano did an absolutely wonderful job with our long-haired Siberian cat. For years our cat was indoors, but now that we've moved to a home, she likes to escape to the backyard and roll around in the dirt, causing mats that she won't let me comb out. Kano not only removed the mats but kept her amazing coat without shaving her bald, unlike most groomers. You can tell the care she takes and she left us with a couple of goodies after the session including a sample of the product she used to help our cat's dermatitis. She's absolutely amazing.
