The inside of the restaurant is very traditional and has a very warm feeling all because of the very friendly and efficient staff. The menu choice is extensive (see images of menu) I have to admit I struggled to make a decision. In the end I opted for the Badami Chicken which was Chicken cooked in almond, cashew cream sauce & flavoured with Kashmiri herbs! This was to die for a fab size portion and chicken was cooked extremely well. I usually go for one of the set meals. They have one at less than 16 euro and three between twenty and twenty three euro. We (these set meals are for two minimum) started with the prawn crackers and then had the soup, followed by shredded duck with little pancakes, salad and sauce. Main course consisted of two sizzling dishes: beef on one, king prawns on the other, both gorgeous. With these menus, you get a free glass of wine each and house wines start at €4.90 a glass. Coffee was included in the price and they also surprised us with some beautifully cut fresh fruit as a dessert (not on the menu). And another surprise on the way out when we presented with a Chinese calendar on a scroll. Nice restaurant and nice people. The takeaway does very well indeed but is a shame that more don't take advantage of this excellent restaurant where the prices are very reasonable indeed.

What suprised me was the size of the sushi when I received it, it was tiny! So small! My heart sank when I saw the size of it, 8 pieces, each piece was about the size of 2 euro coin. This cost me 8.50, so value for money it definetly isn't. I was still hungry after it! I can't fault the food though, it was fresh and tasty with some unusual herbs thrown in I hadn't experience before, very nice. I had a look at their bento boxes, and they were over 9 euro and looked very small too with very small side portion of salad. Lovely food but tiny portions. I had heard of Miyazaki because their sister restaurant, Ichigo Ichie, has a Michelin star. While Ichigo is expensive and difficult to grab a table at, Miyazaki is more affordable and offers both takeaway and dining in their small seating area. I've also heard that you can also take the food to go and eat it at O'Sho, the pub across the street, as the two spots have a partnership. I asked for the staff members' recommendation and she said the Hake Don was her favorite. I took her suggestion and enjoyed the fried whitefish over white rice with cucumber, green onions, sesame seeds, and a delicious sauce. I was lucky enough to grab a stool and eat there but the place quickly filled up as the night continued. I would definitely recommend adding this place to your list when visiting Cork. I was impressed to find such amazing Japanese food place (in Ireland of all places???) and would totally return if I'm back in the area.

The crab claws were tossed in a creamy lemon sweet chili sauce that was packed with flavor, and the rice balanced the richness perfectly. The generous portion was an added bonus. The standout, however, was the baked lobster--fresh, perfectly cooked, and topped with a delicious mustard cream sauce. Paired with the mash and salad, it made for an excellent meal.
