A fantastic time! I've been wanting to go fishing for so long now and my girl chartered the "Kamryn Dawson" berthed at the 22nd street pier in San Pedro. Captain TJ and first mate James did all the heavy lifting. All the tackle and bait we're waiting for our every need. Very experienced Skipper took us right to the fish. A great time and so relaxing

Captain TJ pulled up sly without spooking the school and we were hooked up immediately with a triple hookup on bait.

I met Dean and I believe the other person was Jeff, I might be wrong but... these guys were the most nicest people you could ever meet. Dean welcomed us with open arms and treated us like family. You just couldn't beat the vibe in there as well as the customer service I wish other shops can take note of this, beginner or advanced angler, it should not matter how you are treated. It's like a no ego zone. I can't wait for this shop to bloom and flourish. Me and a buddy are visiting so cal for the pcs show, but wanted to stop by here on our way back home to the Bay Area. I'm sure glad we did They carry "Reyes Swimbaits" and it's one of the nicest hand poured plastics you could get your hands on. The color patterns and durability is top tier. I highly recommend them. Thank you for showing us love LA fishing alliance. We'll be back!!

Robert was extremely helpful and friendly. After asking me a few questions, he was able to gauge my level of experience and make great suggestions. From the beginning to the end he helped me every step of the way. Robert even went above and beyond by checking the fish report of my upcoming charter. He then suggested what tackle is recommended for the trip. Not your typical gatekeeper tackle shop. The products there are top brands but with reasonable prices. Something for every budget but also high end gear if that's what you're going for. They have cool clothing and often organize fishing events where local anglers are encouraged to compete. I highly recommend LA Fishing Alliance for both beginners and advanced anglers. Real cool spot, up to date, top products, quality service, good vibes.

Spend the day picnicking, hiking, fishing, and exploring the trails here. FYI: The bathrooms are filthy, funky, and in a state of chaotic disrepair at the parking lot. I will highly suggest you go walk to the lighthouse museum and use the toilet there.

The small parking lot on PV Drive, just past the Point Vicente Interpretive Center, is marked by a sign, see photos. There's a building with restrooms next to the parking lot, both of which are open dawn to dusk. A trail leads down to the water. I posted a dozen photos. It was an exceptionally nice day to take in the views. Veteran's Day is an honorable day, as well as a somber day for me, so it's no accident I was hanging out in parks today. I chose some of the most beautiful ones I could think of, as they are inspirational to me. Parks are places of honor. They are almost always dedicated to a person, or people, who have served their communities, their country. And throughout the parklands we discover benches, rocks, and even trees bearing dedications & memorials. The parks along the coast were filled with people today and they seemed more quiet than usual. The general overtone was one of respectfulness. At day's end, as I notice a brilliant, almost-full moon, I'm reminded that I can best honor those who served, including those who have fallen, by living the best way I know how. And for me that's all about appreciating nature, and life.

I have to…read moresay it's difficult for me to write this review as my family and I were very much looking forward to spending a beautiful day on the bait to celebrate my dads birthday. And all though we still made the best of it it really did not live up to what was promised and the amount of money we paid. So let's start with m: 1. The address did not match what was listed on their Yelp page and created a lot of confusion and frustration especially since we had kids with us. I had to text the owner, Mario, and he gave us another location to charter form which was not at all what was listed on their page. 2. Not sure if the captain of the day,Noah, was having a bad day or what but he was definitely not in the mood to greet us properly. He was very short, not so friendly and barely spoke to us during our ride. 3. The boat was not like the photos they presented or posted on Yelp. I even texted the owner and asked him to send me a few photos of what the boat will look like. It was definitely dirty, the coaches were so damaged and dirty they had black clothes over them. One of inside couches was wet, my uncle sat on it unknowingly making his pants wet and him uncomfortable for the rest of the ride. 4. The table surfaces were all damaged & chipped. We had to be careful for the kids not to get splinters when they would approach the table to grab something to eat. 5. Worst of it all was that we only watched cargo shipments for 2 hours!! On our phone call with Mario mentioned we can go through the canals and even get a far glimpse of the Queen Mary but we didn't. We even asked Noah to take us the other way around into the open water and he said no he needs to this way first (meaning by the cargo shipments). It was very disappointing since it was my dads actual birthday and the experience was completely robbed from us. It's very sad that we wasted over a thousand dollars and didn't receive what we had paid for. And I even texted Mario afterwards telling him our concerns but didn't get a reply back. Poor customer service.
