The Kaminstube in the basement of the Hotel Moosfeld is a great restaurant with a good variety of offerings on its menu. I unfortunately did not capture a picture of the menu here, but they have soup, salad, and mains such as Wurst, Schnitzel and Steak.
When you walk down the steps, you are in the room with the bar and one of three sections for seating. This becomes the most lively section as the evening progresses. The middle section where I sat is calm and more dimly lit, perfect for a cozy dinner. The last and largest section is more brightly lit and well suited for large groups and Stammtisch.
I ordered the Steak Frites, medium rare, with a sharp cheese atop, along with a half Mass of Spaten Oktoberfest Bier. My server was very good, but a little overwhelmed with a large group that came for the larger third section. So her attention became divided.

The Spaten Oktoberfest went down well with the meal and was a welcome first meal after my flight to Germany.
Given there are no restaurants I could see immediately around the Hotel Moosfeld, the Kaminstube is a great addition and seems well patronized. There are better places to eat, but this is conveniently in the Hotel Moosfeld and most people should find they will eat here at least once. Moreover, it's popular with the locals and is a welcome diversion in this pocket of Moosfeld. Don't be surprised by the amount of regular traffic the Kaminstube attracts...
