I see Ruth here for reflexology and it's by far and away the best thing that I've ever done for…read moremyself. I have a fairly stressful life, and Dr. Shindler suggested that I give it a go to help relieve stress. Well after my first session, I was driving home, hit a TON of traffic on I-275, and it didn't bother me in the least. It was the strangest feeling in the world - like someone took my mean friend away, and I didn't realize how mean that little guy was until he was gone. I have had reflexology in the past, and thought, "sure this is a nice foot massage", but that is not what reflexology is in the least when you're with Ruth. It's just amazing, amazing work. She's passionate, perceptive, kind, and so so much more. I really don't have enough good words to say about Ruth. Give her a try, and you'll try to hunt me down to thank me for making your life awesome. Dr. Shindler is also awesome. He's very easy to talk to, and is open to different ways of healing, including hypnosis. I did hypnosis once, and he will make a recording of the session for you to do at home. This also helped me reduce stress levels - but obviously you can use hypnotism to help with a lot of different issues. Overall, there aren't enough words to express how thankful I am that this office is here... we so quickly brush off things like stress, and other life stuffs, and how they play a role in our health. Nice to see a doctor's office understand.

I really just wanted to reiterate my review about Dr Peter Bullach, Dr Robert Brateman & Dr Olga…read moreMondrosova.....My first review hasn't changed ,except for an even better review of everyone & everything in this practice! I have gone to this practice since Dr Brateman was at Providence Hospital bldg. in Southfield, MI back in 1986! * he came to see my newborn baby girl at 11:30 pm after a baseball game and all!! I thought that was pretty unique for a Dr who isnt even the one "on call" to come in and see his newest little patient! Anyway....what I really want to say in only the kindest and nicest way possible to the other reviewer, "Vaquel R."; is that honestly, you had to have caught the office staff on a particularly bad, running late, crazy busy kind of day! I promise you...they are truly "one of a kind" in the way of treating us as patients, but as people first. If Ive ever had to wait, I know that when my turn comes, I will be treated with the same time and respect given to the persons during my waiting time! If they asked you to call back and if you would've said "No, I cannot, this is very important," they would've stopped and helped you! My appointments are always at 4:30 pm, because of a nerve disease and pain, Im unable to drive myself to their office. I must wait for my husband to drive me there after work. They always let me come at that time and when my husbnd and I leave, usually after 5:30-ish PM, there's always t least one or two of the office staff still there calling in prescriptions and doing the "other" stuff required of an appointment personnel and office staff! I too, worked in a setting like this. I worked many years at the U of Michigan hospitals Appt. center. When we turned the phones off, there were usually a couple people still in the cue system waiting to speak to us and make an appt. Also...i had to call scripts, Dr.s offices and do whatever notes, the Drs had left for me to do before I went home. We even couldn't do appointments at 4:55 pm because it takes time to get all of the proper information, and if it were an emergency, we knew the persons would be heading to urgent care or E.R., knowing that we closed in just a few minutes and we couldn't possibly give them the one on one TLC that patients like to get from the office staff. That being said, I just wanted you and anyone who might read your review, to know that this has never been my or my family's experience with this office....but if by some chance that were to happen to me, I would say to myself "well it's only 5 minutes before their phones turn off and Im not having an emergency (because I would know to not call but go to ER!) and what I need, especially if Setting up a new patient appt. for another person; I know that that would take much more than 5 minutes, due to the type of information that is exchanged in this type of phone call! Also, Knowing that just because the phones are sent to the answering service at 5:00 pm, or close to that time depending on who's watch you are looking at; that doesn't mean the office staff grabs their coats and leaves...there's so much to do before they go home and as I've said...Ive left after 5:30 pm nd they're still there making pharmacy calls and other ! Anyways, I'm writing from experience. Like I said, we've been patients there at "Brateman medical ctr" for many years and I truly do know these things I'm writing to be fact. Lastly, it's easier for them and less confusing for incoming patient or Dr. Phone calls, for the staff to answer the phone as "Dr.'s office, can I help you?"! If you're calling for any of the reasons most people would call, you would know right away that you in fact got a Dr's office. Next, it would be terribly difficult for the staff to answer the volume of phone calls that their office gets each day by saying " Dr's Brateman, Bullach & Mondrosova's office can I help you?".....many many times per day. NOR would it really ...only in my lay opinion, be right to answer saying "Dr. Brateman medical center" because then you wouldn't know that Dr.'s Bullach and Mondrosova were a partners in that same medical center! Just a few thoughts.....only because one person views something one way, it is their right to have an opinion, but I promise you....you won't find better Dr's, nurses, M.A.'s, or office staff than these people.....they are "one of a Kind"...in a good way!!! Thank you so much for allowing me to write my experience here and I mean no harm, rudeness or any hurtfulness to the other reviewer.

I was organized and had my list ready to go, but I was worried she would be short or hurried with me since I wasn't there for an urgent issue. I was greatly pleased that she sat with me, took her own notes, answered my questions, and ordered the various labs (cholesterol, fasting glucose, etc.) that are par for the course, as well as a couple that she thought might be good given some of my concerns about family's illnesses. Nothing seemed forced or overboard, and she was very understanding and matter-of-fact when it came to some sensitive issues. There is a Quest Diagnostics lab in the same building which was naturally convenient as I just went next door for my blood draw. I had no issues with billing or with my insurance company claims. My only complaint has to do with the office staff's phone etiquette that I have experienced before and since. I know now that they answer the phone as just "Doctor's Office", not "Brateman Medical" or something similar, but I honestly couldn't understand them initially and thought I had dialed the wrong number. When I asked whether it was Dr. Mondrusova's office, the woman was rather exasperated as though I hadn't been listening. I called again recently to make an appointment for my partner for a new patient/annual check-up as well. I was busy literally all day with work and had to wait for a couple of afternoon conference calls to finish, so I dialed in at 10 to 5. After following the prompts from the new automated system, a woman picked up - again answering "Doctor's Office" - and I explained I wanted to make an appointment. She cut me off, saying, "Well, can you call back tomorrow morning?" I was so flustered, I said, "Oh. Yes. I guess." And she said, "Good. Thanks," and hung up. The problem is...I can't call back tomorrow morning. I won't be available to make a call until almost noon. Is that too close to the lunch hour? Will I be asked to call back later? I find myself highly annoyed and also concerned about sending my partner to them. This is the kind of customer service issue that would send him right back out the door, and it's already like pulling teeth to persuade him to see a doctor in the first place. It would be so convenient for us both to go to the same practice though. I've answered office phones and worked retail in a previous life, so I know the desire to get out the door as close to closing as possible, but we weren't allowed to stop serving customers until actual close; administrative 'closing' activities were still lower priority. Perhaps the office staff needs a little help at the end of the day to finish expected tasks OR just needs to reset expectations about when they leave v. when the office closes. (Or they need to change their published hours.)
