For those who just like a short review and don't like to read long ones, I will make this short and…read moresweet this is the best dentist I have ever met in my entire life. I am a senior and have been to many high end dentists in New York and some who work in Beverly Hills and do cosmetic dentistry, and by far Dr. H is the best person I have ever met, and his quality of work and care for you as an individual is outstanding. For those who are still reading, I have a lot to say about my office experience here. From the time we walked through the door me and my spouse were expecting another run of the mill dental office visit when we went to the reception area we were greeted by a friendly and happy and nice lady she greeted me and my wife was polite handed us some paper work to fill out and took it back with a smile so we sat down as we were waiting a gentleman walked by me I did not know who he was at the time he looked me in the eyes smiled and said hello how are you today and I happily greeted him back I looked at my watch I thought, Ok, I will have to settle in and wait an hour like I did at some of the biggest practices in Vermont, one in Stowe and Essex Junction that I would never recommend to anyone. The staff at those facilities I had gone to were rude, nasty, and had an air about them as if I had done something wrong coming to them wanting to be a patient from the minute I walked through the door with my spouse. I have learned if your first point of contact from the receptionist is not a good one you should not be there that means who ever runs the facility allows them to be that way and they are probably that way themselves and it proved to be true at both those facilities I have went to they do not care about people, did not care about the issues that need to be addressed they wanted to do a full work up and piece meal the teeth out and have a patient for life and waste a lot of your time I only sat waiting 10 minutes to be taken in to the appointment with my spouse immediately to be greeted by a lovely dental assistant who not only was beautiful on the outside she was just as beautiful on the inside Almana was friendly, courteous, very attentive to our immediate needs and she was very skilled not only did she take the time to address all the issues she also shared a little about herself and her life and you can see how wonderful she was and has a true love for pets. I was very blown away so far at how nice we were being treated, and then Almana several times offered to get me a beverage of my choice and was above and beyond wonderful. This practice is lucky to have her. This would have been just enough for me to come back until I met Dr. H! This gentleman walked into the room greeted me politely, shook our hands, asked if we would like anything he also then listened to all our concerns as my wife has had cosmetic dentistry done and we wanted to make sure everything matched and she could be taken out of pain he accessed the situation took several sets of images and xrays and said yes I can get you all fixed up he treated her like a top priority to him he immediate began steps to get her out of pain, repair her damaged crown and was able to do it all in one visit he has a cerac machine for those of you who do not know what this is this is a machine that can make you a crown on the spot through 3d imaging of your mouth and the adjoining top and bottom teeth not only did he match the color but the fit and finish was beautiful and amazing. While the crown was being made, he took the time to share a little bit about himself and how he ended up in Vermont. I noticed that this gentleman had a commanding presence he had served his country in the Navy and obtained the rank of lieutenant commander, and I can see by the way that he carries himself and his true professionalism that it was deserved. I am not an easy person to impress, but this man did impress me he exuded confidence and professionalism, and I felt my wife was in good hands. I have a background myself in law enforcement; I am readily hesitant, unfortunately, when I meet people. This is not the case with Dr. H. What you see is what you get a hardworking man with wonderful staff, and as an added bonus, I had the chance to meet two wonderful dogs. They were well mannered, and one sat next to me quietly and allowed me to pet him while my spouse was getting the work done. What was a long appointment seemed like minutes because Dr. H was so friendly and engaging. I felt as if I just left my best friends house that I knew for years. I had to stop and take a look at how long this review is, and I am so sorry it is so long. I could easily continue on, but I will tell you this much if you are on the fence and you are thinking about going anywhere else, DONT. Make your appointment with Dr. H. I was truly grateful for the interaction I had with the dentist and staff. He is worth traveling for if I had to drive 100 miles to see him, I would.

Now a heads up to patients with hypermobility/Ehlers-Danlos, and to…read morepatients with depression/anxiety for whom having to manage doctors' emotions for them is a barrier to care. Dr. Pinto has multiple patients with EDS, and puts in the time and effort to adjust her care for the ways the disorder impacts tooth and gum health. Finding my nerves for filling replacement has always been a trial for dentists. As is common in EDS, I go through anesthesetic quickly and variably depending on anaesthetic type and dose. I've worked closely with Dr. Pinto to figure out how to get me numbed up effectively. I also want to give a shout-out to her straightforwardness in working with patients with severe anxiety and depression. It's really common to have to expend precious energy reassuring medical professionals who are uncomfortable with the idea of depression/anxiety. (This is a significant boundary to medical care for folks dealing with these issues.) Not so with Dr. Pinto. Upon learning about the depth of my partner's profound depression/anxiety, all she had to say was "you're on meds? You're working with professionals? Good. So about your teeth..." And that was it. No pity, no fear, no need to manage her emotions and expectations. Again, five stars, A+, best sustained dentistry experience of my life, recommended to everyone who will sit still long enough for me to tell them about her.

As a result, I'd become self conscious of my smile. I found I was smiling less, or would keep my mouth closed so as not to reveal my teeth. On a routine visit with Tiffany, one of the dental hygienists, I mentioned my desire to learn more about clear aligners to help improve my smile. Tiffany brought Dr. Lynda right over to talk to me and gave me a bunch of information. Before I knew it we had a plan and scheduled appointments. I was thrilled! I am so pleased with the results. DO NOT USE THIS DENTAL PRACTICE! I had work started by them and told them what payment plan I…read morecould stick to. I could do 300$ per month. They wanted $350. I have a fixed income and even the $300 was hard to maintain but I could. I was not ambiguous and could not agree to more. So I was told to make the payments. I did make the payments for 3 months and they accepted the payments without returning them. Then they set the appointment for me and the robot confirmed it and everything. Went in for the appointment that I had with them for months and took off work to do it. They told me when I arrived that they would not do the work because I only paid 300 a month and not 350 when I told them before I could not do that. So they still want the money and think that is acceptable. I do not. They accepted the payments. They made the appointment and then when I got there just told me NOPE. Effective July 1st, they removed themselves from all insurance so you are expected to pay completely up front. I received no communication and was expecting my insurance to pay for my treatment. I had an appointment scheduled for June, but when my car broke down we moved it to July 18th. Suddenly I had to pay almost $500 out of pocket with no notice. I questioned why my insurance (that paid for things in April) was suddenly not paying and they informed me then that they were out-of-network for all insurances. "Oh you'll receive a check from your insurance after we submit the claim" Well that's not helpful in any regard. Thank God I'm not longer living paycheck to paycheck anymore because how else could I just drop $500 without notice? Ironically when I got home I had a letter from my insurance informing me of Stowe removing themselves from their network, but still has received no official communication from the office itself. This is not the first time this happened either. I switched insurance companies to remain in network with Stowe Family, but they never informed me until after the fact. I moved two years ago and I didn't want to switch dentists since the medical staff are great. However I cannot see myself driving an hour to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket with no warning anymore.
