From the owner: Star Sales is a leading national distributor of fasteners, power tools and construction supplies…read more Founded in 1922, by Harry Star, it originated as a neighborhood hardware store in downtown Boston. During this time, Star Sales put an emphasis on quality and service which continues to be the forefront of our success. In 1978, Harry’s son, George Star, acquired the business and moved it to our current corporate headquarters, a 55,000 sq. ft. facility in Woburn, Massachusetts. Located at the major highway exchanges of Route 95 and Interstate 93, Star Sales location facilitates our ability to continue to provide its neighborhood level of service to all of New England and the regional northeast. This expansion allowed Star Sales to increase its inventory lines in order to provide a broader selection of drywall and power tool products to our customers.

We renovated our main bathroom, and used Building Supply Outlet for many of our materials…read more Most importantly, we purchased our vanity here. The entrance to our bathroom is narrow, and they were the ONLY place that offered several different sized vanities in 21" AND 18" depths. We needed the 18", and I purchased and exchanged a few different times before we made our final pick. Each time, they had the vanity ready to go, assembled and everything. Never an issue returning/exchanging. Everyone was always helpful.

I was referred by a friend and am very pleased with the service. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful and the product lines are all high quality. He and Gail coordinated on design and function and helped talk through any questions and concerns I had. I'm very happy with the outcome and this team made the process so easy.

It took a little longer for my floor tile to come in due to COVID-related delays, but the backsplash arrived early. Brian was upfront with me about delays and having experienced delays with everything else I ordered for my remodel, I expected it. I can't speak to their in-store products, but their "classes" are a massive bait-and-switch…read more If you call the store, they'll tell you that "Woodworking I" is an extremely advanced class, which is an absolute prerequisite for any other class they offer. They will tell you that this is the appropriate class for those with decades of experience, because decades of experience outside of their extra-special, extra-advanced class could not possibly prepare you for their other classes. AFTER they take your money and you arrive at the class, the instructor will tell you that it's a class for rank beginners who have never touched a woodworking tool in their lives. It's a huge scam.

On my first visit, I brought my kitchen cabinet door that i needed to strip/sand but I needed some advice regarding materials to use etc. Geno and Joe offered me good advice during my first visit- On my next visit, Geno also took time to show me how he used the product that i had just purchased and gave some tips on how to proceed with my project. Overall, great experience. Its good to visit a store where people are friendly and passionate about what they do- I am guessing that anyone working here is a wood worker and truly enjoy their craft. To top it off, he had an associate cut the long pieces so they would fit safely in my car, while carefully ensuring the lengths I actually needed for the installation remained intact.
