I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. The food is amazing, delicious and authentic. Our server was named Apple and she did a wonderful job explaining their most popular dishes. Apple made some recommendations and checked on us multiple times. The chef came out to check on us as well. That was a very pleasant surprise. The restaurant looks like lots of fun when they have live music. It was a great atmosphere and the restaurant was nice and clean. Our desserts came out immediately after we finished our meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was great and we all enjoyed the fresh, well-seasoned dishes and family style servings. All the staff were very friendly and gave us great food recommendations. Best part of the night, besides us enjoying the delicious food was the entertainment part, karaoke!
Loved the home style Filipino food here. Everything we tried was good -- lechón kewali, diniguan, langka ginataang, BBQ chicken skewers, and very generous servings of garlic fried rice and white rice. We came at a very busy time (all tables we're full) so food and service was a little on the slow side initially. But the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely come again to try their other dishes and would recommend it to anyone. If you're not aware, they have another restaurant, Kabayan Grill, which I understand is the same but smaller so if you're debating between the two just go to the more convenient location. This is a casual restaurant that's very family friendly.
Kamayan Grill offered a laid-back ambiance as we walked in just before 3 p.m. for a late lunch. It wasn't busy, and the food came out 15 minutes after ordering. The grilled stuffed squid was perfectly cooked and very tender. The Chopsuey was delicious, and the vegetables weren't overcooked. The pork BBQ was mildly sweet and tender, the chicken inasal was average; not the Bacolod style, but still good, and the Batangas lomi was comforting. It satisfied my Filipino food cravings. Service from Clariss was great.
Whenever I miss my Lola's cooking, I come to Kamayan Grill to get my fill of home cooked Filipino food. I love their Laing and kare kare! Those are my comfort dishes and I'm always so disappointed when restaurants don't do it the way I'm used to (of course there are different variations) but this place is the closest to my Lola's cooking. The Kare kare stew is thick and peanutty with a hearty amount of beef and the Laing is the perfect combination of spicy and umami. They also have Filipino spaghetti and it's so good, omg. Sweet and savory at the same time and whenever I crave Jollibee, I just order from here because Jollibee is way too far from me. Service is friendly and welcoming and restaurant is small but cozy and clean!! My go-to spot for sure!
Coming from the Midwest, there are not a lot of Filipino restaurants in the area other than in Chicago. So during our latest annual vacation to Orlando, Kamayan Grill certainly satisfied our craving for Filipino food. The Kare Kare and lechon kawali are very good. Save space for dessert. Halo halo was superb, same with buko pandan. Service was outstanding, even though weekday lunch was quite busy.
Spent my 33 birthday here. The food was fantastic and makes you feel like you are back home in the Philippines. The servers were attentive to our large party and made sure we were taken care of. You need to try the pork bbq and the sisig.
This place is amazing small but comforting. We tried different items to see what we best enjoyed. Sinigang pork was one of our favorites w the lumpia & quail eggs. We will be back again! We wouldn't do the Butangas Bulalo not much in this soup for $24.99 but it was tasty.
Spotted Kamayan Grill when I was in the area and had visited Adega Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse and Crush Yard which are in the same plaza. I asked some local Filipinos about it, & they recommended it. Finally stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed. We got a table at a good spot. It wasn't too close to the person singing which is great for us. We ordered lumpia(Filipino fried spring rolls), chicken adobo, and bistec Tagalog(beef). My fave was the bistec tagalog. Reminded me of my mom's cooking and when I was a kid. My husband liked the chicken adobo. We didn't love the lumpia. Seemed like it was frozen and fried, like I just bought it at the Asian supermarket and threw it in the fryer. FYI, rice is additional and with these dishes, rice is absolutely needed. I ordered garlic rice bc it's my fave but with these dishes there's so much sauce, plain rice would have been fine. Garlic rice is still so so good(my fave). My fave fave from this lunch was the halo halo. I think it's the best I've had in a long time. I have had the halo halo at the local Filipino ice cream shop in Orlando and this one was def better in my opinion, it's also bc they did include leche flan in it. Service was good, and assisted us when needed. Glad I got a chance to try it. I do want to try one of their Bilao platters such as the All Grilled or Ultimate. But the dishes we selected were not part of them so we were happy with what we ordered.
Authentic Filipino Cuisine in Orlando. On Sundays they open at noon and a few of us were lined up right before opening. We first checked out the to-go dessert counter and ordered a couple items foe home before sitting down. Large space with plenty of tables, lovely wall decor and a mini stage with instruments. We were SO excited to see they have Filipino brunch silog so we each ordered one. Everything we had was delicious and authentic and good portions. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food came out fairly quick. My friends who live in the area already plan to come back. Dasilog Tapsilog Tocilog Extra side order of daing na bungos Pinakbet Sago't gulaman Calamansi juice Coke zero Turon
If you're looking for an authentic Filipino food experience, Kamayan Grill seems to be it! My first real experience with Filipino food was a hit and multiple other large Filipino families were there. We got an ultimate bilao mixed seafood and grilled meats platter, kare kare (oxtail in peanut sauce), pinkabet (mixed veggies in shrimp paste), and Halo halo. The lumpia were great here, very meaty, filled, and not over peppery. Pork belly was another hit with high flavor and grilled nicely, not over charred. Garlic rice and the pork rinds and fish complimented nicely. I'm always a fan of okra and eggplant so the veggie selections were up my alleyway. The oxtail kare kare had a nice thick peanut sauce and super tender. Halo halo was large, shareable and had lots of dried fruit pieces in it with the shaved ice and ice cream. The only one I didn't love was the Pinot spaghetti - flavor wasn't something I liked and I dislike when rice noodles of that thickness get harder when cooled. Space has booth seating and is a medium sized place, but can accommodate large groups. There is a sound stage with a cover band at least on a Saturday and open mic karaoke with live band accompaniment. Very vibey! Definitely worth many visits back to try the rest of the menu!
The ambiance was great and the location is good too. The staff is very homey and nice. They were fast to take our order, bring the food, and clean up. I love how they helped my group pack up our leftovers afterwards! Food was delicious, but the bulalo and lomi was a little salty. In addition to the soup dishes, we also got the ultimate bilao which had appetizers, side dishes, and main dish. It was very filling for a group of 4! The sago't gulaman was good, but the mango juice and calamansi juice were a tad watered down. Overall, I would definitely go again. Also, the bathroom is single stall, so when it gets busy, I can only imagine how long that line would be. The staff mentioned that there are karaoke nights, so I bet that's fun!
Great food with great service! Stopped in for lunch with my visiting fam from Michigan. Soooo good! Food/Drinks: 4.3 Service: 4.8 Atmosphere/Vibe: 4.4 Cost: 3.9 Overall: 4.3
I heard thru the Filipino banana network, this place I need to try. My parents and I drove about an hour, and the food was not a disappointment. I'm not going to list all the food that we ordered (too many), but I would say the highlight is the "Ultimate Bilao". Basically had everything that you want to eat especially the garlic rice and bbq skewers. So yummy and tasty. Unfortunately, there were two issues. For Filipino food, it is a bit pricey (probably due to the Disney location). Second, the day of our visit, their air conditioner broke down and it pretty muggy inside. The good thing, they told us in advance before we sat down and their service was excellent. For this reason, saved an extra star rating. If you're in the area, check this place out. read more
I like it! ESPECIALLY THAT RICE! What I came here with a friend and we did one of those specials that has a number of mixed items and can be shareable. I got the all grilled bilao. This was really good! It was my first time having this style of food experience. I thoroughly enjoyed everything on here. The grilled meats were thoroughly seasoned and grilled. The rice was the best! The wait for the dish to be served was worth it! Environment Located in a plaza, so parking shouldn't be an issue, but the inside if quite small and I can see it filling up very quickly. I was there on a Saturday and there was live music at 12pm! Niceness of the staff The staff was very nice! Though there was min interaction, we were able to get what we needed. Dollar It was around 52$ for this plate. I think it is good for 2 people, 3 is possible too, but the meats could be limited... the rice for sure is enough for 3 people... haha Yes I would definitely return here again, I love this variety dish! read more

In almost every state, my parents and I are always on the hunt for Filipino food. We've been coming to Orlando for years and have finally found one right in the middle of Universal Studios and Disney World! Their cooking did not disappoint, but we always look forward to the service these restaurants bring and Kamayan Grill offered only the upmost quality. My parents are already talking about coming back to eat here soon again. read more

Took my Mom to try this place out and we loved it. The staff is wonderful and kept seeing how we were doing and asked if we had any questions. The food portions are large. We had leftovers. Place is super cute. Small place but we had no wait for a table. We even had live music. He was talented too. We started with lumpia came with 6 in an order. Perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. I could eat a dozen of them. We had grilled pork skewers which had great flavor as well. I love when meats are marinated before they are cooked gives them such great flavors. No sauce needed. We went with the shrimp sinagang. Came with several large shrimp and packed with veggies. Loved the sour flavor. It had one chili in it and it packed a punch I loved it. The last dish we did was the Bikol express. Reminded me of Thai flavors with the coconut milk and shrimp paste. The pork was so tender. It had a slight spice level I would have personally liked it spicier but it was perfect for my mom. (I did eat the one little chili on it and I am sure I could have asked for more) of course the garlic rice is the perfect accompaniment to it all. My only tiny negative is that white rice should be included and an up charge for the garlic rice but rice doesn't come with any of it. Can't wait to go back and try some more dishes. (And I have to have more lumpia) read more

Kamayan Grill is most definitely a hole in the wall. Pretty close, 15 minutes away from Celebration/Kissimmee, this Filipino joint may be small on the inside but food from the kitchen comes out with a bang. They definitely serve the classics like the Pancit (Filipino Rice Noodles) and Lumpia Shangai (Pork Eggroll served with Sweet & Sour sauce). It is a place to bring your family of 10 together and eat authentic Filipino cuisine, or even eating there, table for two. They also have different desserts and pastries service to your taste buds, UBE galore! You must try their Ube cake. Semi-Sweet and perfectly moist at first bite. read more

Staff members were very friendly. Food was pretty good. The kare kare was made with real peanut butter. We're used to having our bistek sour. There was no hint of lemon. We asked for extra onions and raw onions were placed on top of the bistek. The sinigang's sourness was perfect! I do want to come back and try their larger shade dish! read more
Restaurant was clean and casual. Venue probably can seat comfortably about 50 patrons. Big free parking lot. I was intrigued about their mini stage and thought it would be neat to utilize for small shows or... karaoke :) Stumbled upon a gem while on vacation! I knew it was going to be authentic when I had to use Google to help me figure out what the dishes were. I would suggest having English descriptions on the online menu to help assist with decisions. And decisions had to be made! I wanted to try everything not having much exposure to Filipino cuisine outside of lumpia and pancit. Friendly employees suggested the crispy pata which is deep fried pork leg and we also picked the fried chicken appetizer (for the kiddos), pinakbet (mixed veggies sauteed in shrimp paste, and halo-halo dessert. Y'all it was all so good!!! I told my family we had to come back one more time before leaving. read more

The food was delicious and served hot and fresh. I got lumpia and the beef breakfast option. I wanted to try the ube desserts they had on display but they didn't have individual portion sizes (which is why I'm knocking 1 star off). Being a Filipina is hard sometimes to satisfy a craving in the central Florida area. The newest location of Kamayan Grill is thankfully only 30 mins from where we live that isn't in a crowded, hipster, or hard to find parking area. Located off Irlo Bronson in the same plaza as Crushyard, this restaurant satisfies my craving for traditional home cooked food. The staff are friendly and the space is just right, with even a stage for karaoke. We ordered the sisig, palabok, and lechon kawali. None of the entrées are actually served with a side of rice so you have to spend the extra dollar or two for a white rice or garlic rice. Our daughter ate pretty much an entire garlic rice by herself. The sisig was tasty, but my husband didn't care for the amount of cartilage in it. But I really liked my lechon kawali and Palabok. I ended the meal with two pieces of Torun, which were served with a side dip of brown sugar glaze. read more

Absolutely worst customer service of any Filipino establishment in all of Central FL. I called in a takeout order at 6:06 PM upon leaving my daughter's camp down the road. Arrive at the restaurant no more than 10 mins. Go to pay at the register and told to wait. Meanwhile we are standing directly in front of their stage/cash register waiting and waiting while two tables in the restaurant are being served. We were never greeted, never checked on, and another 40 mins in I had to ask where our food was as the two servers were busy talking amongst themselves. The fact that chicken adobo, Filipino spaghetti, and bicol express can take this long is beside me. We didn't order anything complicated. I regret telling my Filipino in-laws about this place given there is no way they would tolerate that kind of wait at their age. Such a shame when I had high hopes for them based on location in comparison to Nipa Hut who had gone downhill since their move from the hotel. Save your time and go to The Bakers Son. Never been disappointed with their service given their high order and traffic volume. read more

I challenged my husband to find me an authentic Filipino restaurant near Disney. We found ourselves at Kamayan Grill on a busy Friday afternoon. Located in a hidden plaza with some other restaurants and Crush Yard, it was a good sign the restaurant was packed with other Filipinos enjoying lunch. The restaurant is able to accommodate all types of groups as we saw large families and friends at many tables. Also there is a stage for performances on certain days. The menu had a lot of dishes that I grew up eating and it was very hard to choose so we decided on lumpia, pork sisig, 2 orders of garlic rice, and bbq chicken skewers. The food was delicious and of course I had to save room for dessert. We tried the leche flan and our famous halo-halo which is a must for me. All in all it was a successful new restaurant to add to our list when in the area. Hopefully next time we can come when they have a band or karaoke. read more

Had just settled into hotel after a long red eye flight with connection to Orlando Florida from Northern Cali and my daughter and I of all things we could try being our first visit to FL, craved filipino food. Google directed us to this location, only 3 mins from our hotel so we gave it a try and glad we did. It was a great dine in experience. Food 8/10 - ordered longsilog, tocilog, kare kare and pork lumpia (not pictured) Kare2 was very flavorful Pork lumpia was great, tasty The silogs were also good, hit the spot. Cant really go wrong with a silog. We're originally from the bay area and we have a ton of filipino spots to compare it to, hence not giving it a perfect score. Overall worth a try, would definitely return. Staff were nice and attentive. Thanks Kamayan Grill! read more
