The place was okay. It's listed as two bedrooms, but it is only one bedroom with a loft upstairs. The floor was dirty. It was not well kept or well clean for the fees that they charged to stay here. The shower curtain liner was stained or molded and the hooks to hold it were broken or too small for the rod that was holding it. There is very little amenity. They only provided one trash bag and the trash can was dirty. The sofa bed has no sheet for use. The deck was not swept. The laundry washer has sand in it. The swimming pool has so many leaves that no one cleans. The resort is in the prime location, but the upkeep of the resort is lacking and the fees that were charged were high for what was provided as amenity. read more

First let me give you some background info. My wife and I are in our early 70's. We live in California, but are no stingers to Maui, and have been to all the Hawaiian Islands several times for for the past 35 years. We feel we are fairly good judges of what people are seeking so we would like to share our experiences with the Kamale Beach Club. Our visit was from 4 20 24 to 4/27|24. Weather was low 80's in the days and mid to high 60' in the evening with little to no rain... (perfect)! Ok so what are we looking for when going to the islands? First of all location location... Right? Well I have to say KBC (Kamaole Beach Club) fits this request perfectly! From our lanai I could throw a rock to the ocean... really! You are basically a few 100 feet to the water. So yes ocean view is real! Everything conveniently located. Ok now for the grounds and the condition of the buildings. The KBC scores a 5 star rating here also. The grounds are impeccable! In fact one morning I saw tourist taking pictures of the flowers on the property... Yes it is that nice! The buildings are older say late 60's but are well painted and NO bugs!! Now this was impressive! Except for a few Geckos running around no bugs... not even a fly or mosquito. Ok now we drive up to the office which is in the parking lot of the property. The office is extremely small with only a sliding door as an entry. You would think the office personal would be grumpy working in such a small cramped space but, what we found was exactly the opposite. Suzie and Patti were amazingly friendly and helpful to all our questions and needs. In fact we were in need of a small ice chest to take with us to drive the road to Hana and Suzie loaned us her own personal one. Now who does that? Amazing service! Ok now for my next request... Parking!! The parking is FREE!! And we parked maybe 20 steps from our front door. Now I don't know about you but my wife uses every bit of the 50lbs limit the airlines gives you and of course she makes sure my suitcase has to equal hers... so that short walk sure was nice. We were on the first floor so you guys on the upper floors be aware there are no elevators. The locks/keys are the old paddle type but they give you a lock box on your door incase you lose your key or lock yourself out. This was a nice idea. The rooms are spacious as most of the older building are of that era, but be aware there is no central AC. At least in our room. You do have two AC portable units. One in the bedroom and one in the living room. Honestly we did not use them for we were gone most of the days. When we were in we just left the front door open (there is a heavy duty screen door) and the back patio door open. The way the buildings are situated the ocean breeze sweeps through the rooms keeping things nice and comfy. There are also quiet decorative ceiling fans in each one of those rooms to move the air. Speaking about quiet we did not hear other guest. You know the ones slamming the doors at 2am of kids running ramped past your door. This place was amazingly quiet. The water pressure (another pet peeve coming from CA) was plentiful with lots of pressure and you have your own hot water tank! The furnishing along with dishes and cookware were aged but serviceable and, a full size new refrigerator/ ice maker made it nice to stock it up for the week. Now I did read other reviews and people if you are going to give this wonderful beach front (cottage) the white glove test it is most likely going to fail by your standards. Leave those gloves at home! This is Maui! Embrace the area, the food, the ocean, and most importantly the people and, have a great time! We totally loved it here and are anxious to return in the near future! read more

We stayed here with RCI exchange. Older timeshare (from 1970's?) but with fairly recent kitchen and bathroom upgrades. It was mid-August and it was hot!! The air condition is a stand-alone LG A/C with a huge hose to the wall outlet with comes off very easily. Nice location just a minute from the beach park across the street, I snorkeled and saw Honu (Green Sea Turtle) and other fishes there. A nice walk-in-the-park in the water. Easy walk from lots of restaurants, stores (including ABC Store), supermarket, and shops. Nice managing people too. This is one pretty nice easy-going casual place in Kihei. As long as you are not looking for luxury, this could be your place! This place came out on the "last minute" list for Maui on RCI. We had expiring exchange week, so it was perfect escapes from busy Honolulu. read more

Well first off they charge for $150 for a ac unit. These units do not come with ac built in. Yeah this is Hawaii it's hot as hell and they don't provide ac for free. They offer no customer service what so ever. They are closed on Sunday's so good luck if you need toilet paper or anything essential. The rooms get pretty hot even if you do buy one of their ac units. It's only one unit to cool the entire 2 story condo. There is no pool. The beach is right across the street. But don't think this is a luxurious stay by the beach. It's probably the cheapest place to stay. Don't come here if you would like to enjoy your vacation. You'll spend more time trying to take care of yourself than they will. I don't know if you could call it customer service..... read more

Location: pretty good! Plenty of places to eat in walking distance. Across the street from Kamaole I beach. One downside is that you have a busy and noisy street separating the condos from the beach. It can be loud at night. Unit: we stayed in B-105. It is a total dump. We found out it is one of the last three to be remodeled. Just our luck. The bathrooms and kitchen are really dated and don't feel clean. We ate out more than we hoped due to this. The carpet is disgusting. I'm sure it hasn't been cleaned in decades and it is really ugly. The furniture is also pretty bad. The couch smells weird and the beds are soft and lumpy. No ac in the condo so something to keep in mind. We managed ok but it got hot!! Washer and dryer work fine and it was great to have them. The unit had beach chairs and gear so we didn't have to rent anything. We bought buckets and stuff for the kids but we will just leave them here when we check out. Large grassy area in behind the condos which was great for the kids. The pool is tiny and I was concerned at first but it was never busy so no issue there! If the unit was remodeled it would have been really good!! read more

It's our first trip to Kihei and our first stay at Kamaole Beach Club. It's a great location- directly across the street from a white sand beach with breathtaking views as well as within walking distance to restaurants and shops and groceries. The property is a bit dated but our unit was recently remodeled. The office staff "Patti" is friendly and very helpful. read more

Kamaole Beach Club - Social Clubs Near Me - Kihei, Hawaii

We stayed here as a timeshare property, otherwise its a private condo property. Most of the condos are occupied by permanent residents. There is one swimming pool, no jaccuzi or sauna, and plenty of parking spaces. It is located right across from the Kamaole Beach I and north of Dolphin Plaza and Rainbow Mall. South of it, there is a Chevron gas station with an ABC store. The check in time is Saturday afternoon and the check out time is Saturday morning. If you are trying to check in after their office hour, GOOD LUCK. We didn't have any luck reaching an agent on Saturday after office hours and they are closed on Sunday, so we checked in on Monday. HUGE BUMMER!! The condo is two story. The kitchen, dining area, living room, laundry facility, and one full bathroom is downstairs. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms and one full bathroom. There is a patio space and a balcony overlooking the ocean. There is one queen size bed and two full size beds, along with dressers and nightstands. The beds are lumpy imo, but sleepable. Towels and soaps (bath and detergent) are provided, but no shampoo. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking, baking, and eating utensils, as well as paper towel, pot holders, and dish soap. There is a stove with an oven, dishwasher and a standard refrigerator. The only condiments are salt and pepper. There is a pull out couch in the living room with a 28in teevee which is way too small to watch from the kitchen or dining area. The location is wonderful, the amenities are adequate, the only thing I can complain about is the lack of staff. read more

Had a great time staying here with friends and family. Right across the street from one of the best beaches on Maui, so we enjoyed amazing sunsets every night while getting to swim and lounge around feet from our doorstep. We made good use of the gas grills and picnic tables and got to meet a lot of great people from around the country. Awesome location in Maui: local inexpensive places to eat, with access to some nicer places along the coast. Rented (cheap!) mopeds to see the southern volcano fields, hiked off the road to hana in the waterfalls, and spent time up north around Lahaina. A few things to keep in mind: no AC in the condo's, so during the day you'll make good use of the fans, swimming pool, and mai tai's to cool off (or you can visit Greenland if you'd like a cooler island experience). Checkin is at 4, and they will be cleaning right up until that time, so best to find a place to hang out/swim/shop, etc before showing up at their office. The office gals were super nice, and the maintenance guy was even kind enough to chase off a car prowler (don't know what the guy was up to, but the maintenance guy wasn't taking any nonsense and told him to get lost, ha!). This was the best trip to Maui I've been on yet and I'm glad we stayed here. We'll be back if we can get another spot in one of the condos! read more

We stayed in unit A-106. Let's start with the pros... the location is excellent with a nice back patio space (aside from street noise when trying to sleep at night)! The cleaning service (once per week) did a great job. Outside grounds are very well maintained and you have access to a moderate sized swimming pool. We were welcomed to attend a Thanksgiving potluck with other residents, but we had other plans. Bathrooms are surprisingly adequate considering the rest of the place. Unfortunately, the unit is dingy and very dated. All the furniture is uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. The wallpaper looks dirty and is peeling. The gross brown carpet that someone has posted a picture of... it's REALLY bad. The cupboards have a foul smell so we didn't like putting dishes back in once we washed them. Outdoor chairs are old and uncomfortable. It's also hot. There are fans for each bedroom and one for downstairs. There is a small portable AC units for $100/wk on the main floor, but you really just need it for the bedrooms upstairs as the heat seems to get trapped up there. Overall, if you want a budget vacation, this place will do. The location really is great and I hear some of the other units are updated. Don't expect anything special. Seriously... my bed sheet has a weird mystery stain them. read more

Their is a very nice pool, b'b' que area and no smoking policy. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful. Staff friendly and helpful. Snorkeling and beach lovely! Enjoy! read more

Not a place we will stay again. Wall paper peeing off walls, bifold doors that don't work and generally dirty. Air conditioning only on first level. Bed rooms up stairs were too hot for a good night's sleep. Went to office and mentioned these items but they did not seem to care. Location is on S. Kihei rd and by Kamaole 1. Convenient but noisy. This was not how we hoped to spend our vacation. read more

We have stayed at KBC at least four times in the past three years and always LOVED IT!! Its not a large complex and we love that about it too. Renovations are ongoing and the units are not new but are comfortable. And the location ... you can't beat it. read more

First impressions: Once we arrived we found the very tiny office complete with signs that basically say, "we are really busy, don't come bother us unless its important." The front end lady was short with us, telling us "you cannot all be inside of here, go wait out there, I just need the one of you that has the credit card." She checked us in, and was very short with a few more details of the check in. Our impressions of the suite and grounds: The suite is dated in some aspects, but is clean and functional.The lanai is perfect and has a great view of the beach, and the living spaces are roomy enough for a group of 4 or 5. The counter top in the kitchen is a muddy brown tile with dark brown grout, and some of the tiles on the edge were loose and eventually fell off mid way through our stay; we contacted them about this, but received no response. This place has a full kitchen, but it gets cozy with more than one person cooking. It was touted as having everything we would need, but we found basic things like a scrub brush/ sponge and extra trash bags lacking. The beds are very uncomfortable, everyone in my family agreed, and the pillows are limp and very unsupportive. The airflow is less than desirable, but I don't think that could be fixed unless some sort of central cooling was implemented. They do provide swivel room fans for both bedrooms, and living room, as well as ceiling fans in those spaces. The lighting in the bedrooms is pathetic at best, one has to walk across the room in the dark to turn on the one table lamp that barely illuminates the room. They do not stock the bathrooms with shampoo or conditioner, just a bar of soap. The grounds are well kept and there are two public BBQs with some picnic tables with a beautiful view of the beach (the only smoking area happens to be here as well). This place has great access and view of one of the best beaches for kids and family's. It's just across the road, and most rooms have a view of it. The pool is small, but we were usually the only ones using it at any given time. To our dismay, the pool has no evening lighting, and the surrounding pool area has very minimal lighting, we felt this to be a safety hazard for families with kids. Experiences over the course of our stay: The biggest complaint of our stay is the road noise. The room gets quite warm over the day, and at night the only way to cool it to a reasonable temperature is to open all of the windows. Unfortunately just outside the front of our room is the busy South Kihei Road. Sleep was difficult with this noise all night. On day four of our stay, we got a notice on our door stating they would be shutting off the water to the entire club for most the following day. For guests, like my family, who cook all of our meals, this meant we had to either spend extra time cooking our meals the night before, or be forced to eat out. We feel they should have offered bottled water and access to toilets at a neighboring resort at the very least. Summery: This place has some great aspects, but the rude hotel staff, and the noisy road in front of our room really made our stay here less than enjoyable. read more

This place is disgusting! Who calls this dump a timeshare? The absolute worst experience to be staying in such a beautiful place. Everything that could possibly be wrong with an outdated, ran down, unattended, filthy condo is what you get! We were seriously going to check out upon arrival and just chalk it up!! Shower curtains are nasty, old and molded! No air conditioner! Old filthy dishwasher, refrigerator and stove!! And, don't even get me started on the 1980 dark brown, crunchy, grimy carpet... Yikes! Had to go buy our own cleaning supplies and straight sanitize and disinfect the entire unit! We even used the pool towels, some clean bath towels and extra sheets to lay on top of the carpet, so our feet wouldn't touch it. Please don't ruin your trip to Maui!! read more

If you are looking for a nice QUIET vacation then you'll have to look further. The noise from the traffic, construction and people will literally keep you awake at night. In fact it is noisy ALL day long (can't even hear well when trying to talk on the phone)! Occasionally you might be able to hear the ocean but it is difficult despite it being right across the street! So if you are sensitive to noise, you will not enjoy your stay here! read more

Booked a week here through RCI. Kihei is hot and there is no AC. We left after 3 days and rented at another condo with AC. KBC is an older condo and feels old. Efforts are being made to upgrade such as tiling downstairs. Our two bedroom unit felt small. Bedrooms upstairs. Only one tv in unit which is in the living room. Beds not comfortable. Queen bed too hard. The other bedroom had twin beds. Floors need mopped. Cane burning season puts ash in the air which ends up on the tile and carpet. We walked around with black feet. Great location. Across the street from the beach. But lots of street noise as the main bedroom faces busy Kihei Road. read more

Don't even think of staying here. It is worse than a Motel 6. We were there at one of the hottest times ever for Hawaii and they charged us $100 for an air conditioner that you couldn't move and it only barely cooled the living/dining area. Hardly made it to the kitchen. The bedrooms were upstairs and they were uninhabitable due to the heat. The kitchen was full of little bugs all over the counters so you couldn't put anything on them. The upstairs hall had garbage on the floor from the previous people and we took pictures, called the office and nothing was ever done. They had a pool that was more like a kid pool. Better off to go across the street to the ocean. We sent a review to RCI and never heard a word from them - like they didn't even care that they put us in such a garbage pit. STAY AWAY! read more

We have spent a week at this facility. We were very pleased with every aspect. The condo was clean, well maintained and in a wonderful location. The beach is right across the road with a crosswalk right there. An ABC Store is next door with lots of food, supplies and extra goodies. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. This resort is in a really nice spot. It is right across from a wonderful swimming beach with soft sand, clear waters, and snorkeling right off the beach with fish and turtles. There are also many food and shopping and surf shops within walking distance. Our room was updated with new countertops, and cabinetry and the resort was clean with plenty of parking for guests. The view was also oceanside and beautiful. To address the air conditioning concerns--They do rent a window AC unit for $100 (this fee also covers parking and wi-fi so to me it was well worth it since parking is $70 alone for a week anyhow ($10/day)), however if you have a two bedroom unit and 90 degree days the unit will be hot. The downstairs bedroom was very stuffy and hot all the time, and the rest of the unit was just bearable. If you have fragile family members it might be a problem, especially later in the day when the sun moves across and hits the building dead on it really heats up like an oven. If it is on the cooler side in Dec or Jan it would probably be fine, but I am not fragile and some nights I did have a hard time sleeping because it was over 80 degrees in the unit and I was sweating. I tried to spend the evening hours out of the unit to avoid the heat, but the a.c. unit never stopped running and it would not cool the unit enough because the unit was just too big for the a.c. unit. Many of the homes and buildings on islands are not built with a.c.-it is creature comfort that is fairly expensive to install and maintain, so this is not uncommon and I would still stay here again because I loved the staff and the area, but it is just something to keep in mind when planning. I think a one bedroom unit would have cooled a little bit better. read more
