Awesome people!!! Really caring about helping me the struggling client--- bridged me through to better times! Their inventory of new and gently used items will take care of MY holiday shopping! Thei have more choices than Macy's... except sheeets etc... and if you need the loan department, today I talked to Mindy, just know they'll treat you well and really rake care of your property! I love to shop there... and drool over their coins, musical instruments and even sports equipment... stocked floor to ceiling... I'm glad I do not have to dust this store... but I recommend if you're touring Wailuku you drop by! read more

Best pawn store I ever been in\n They treat you very nice. I have bought many items in there. Small store packed with everything.

Kamaaina Loan is a great pawnshop with a lot to offer and they pay top dollar for your items. Mindy and the rest of the staff are kind, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I got a great deal on my silver coins and will definitely be going back anytime I need to buy or sell. Mahalo! read more

my place to go when I need to sell some silver or gold. Always friendly : ) Thanks Sean!

Love the crew here. Knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Convenient parking on site. Local Local Local.

This place is great to walk through and purchase, check out the wide variety of items they have! Drones, tools, bow and arrows, LV bags, all kinds of jewelry, clubs and so much more of value. Diana is very friendly and the first to say hello. She helped with items that I was looking for and was so kind. I'd come back and ask for her assistance. Many mahalos to Diana! read more

Alan was a great help! I had a bunch of items from my late father who had items from his grandmother. He looked through the items, and the transaction went smoothly. And he provided water! read more

Wow, what a terrible experience. I thought I had done my research on this place and felt good about going there based on the 5 star overall review (by the way watch out for the other THREE Yelp profiles for this very same business!) but I was in and out of there within minutes feeling pretty upset. I could go into detail about the many different off putting, rude and seemingly untruthful things the owner said, but rather than relive this awful interaction I'll just say this: I would expect that someone in this line of work to be capable of communicating with tact and respect. I will never step foot in this place again, and hope to save others from making the same mistake I did. read more

Diana was very kind and helpful towards me and everyone who walked in, she deserves a raise.

Came in today after having lunch near by. Michael was great. Found a ring and he worked with me on the price. I look forward to coming back. read more

If there was a "-0" Option, my rating would have been Accurate to a fault! Last week I went in to sell item that had been in storage for my boss. Three boxes were of Heavy Vintage glassware ($550-$600, amount worth), Pfaltzgraff Tea Rose 1985 ceramic dinnerware (Almost a complete set $150 easy) and some other loose knick knacks. All well stored. No cracks, chips or scratches. There was also a Vintage Cookie jar ($30-$40), A Vintage Coleman Propane Lamp ($40-$50 easy)and A Bissell ProWave PetPro vacum ($268) ALL of which were Brand New, Never used in Original Boxes!! I went to these guys thinking that I could get a FAIR price for my Boss, who I was helping to sell it for. The owner had a "High Maka Maka" attitude, basically demanding to the show what I had. His attitude reflected how he ran his business, "Don't waste my time". Overall, Entitled. He had me open the box to look at the Propane Lamp and then proceeded to scam me saying that the box was opened and it was missing a crucial piece (unbroken, original seal intact, Nothing Missing ) but he said he'll still buy it. Okay...?! Next he wanted to see the vacum. The vacum was the only item out of the box and partially assembled (stick handles connected)...that's all! NOT USED, ALL THE TOOLS STILL IN THE ORIGINAL BOX! You could literally see that was the only items that were taken out was the main components- 2 stick handles. Packing foam and cardboard in their original positions and in tack. If this guy never try scam us saying he'll buy everything, the Vintage glassware, plates, Vintage ceramic Cookie Jar, Vintage Coleman Propane Lamp and the Bissell CrossWave Pet vacum, he'll buy all of it for $50....What!!! His offer...if that's what it...was insulting!!! He came off as if he was doing US a favor. Taking it off our hands at a great price!!! I mean if he said $200 out the door, I think my Boss would have been more than happy to see it all go. But what this scammer did was beyond what we had anticipated! I can only imagine how many others he took advantage of! On my Bosses behalf, I wanted to Pop him one!!! What a DoucheBag!!! Never again!!!~~cc read more

Awesome pawnshop. Courteous staff and I got the best price for my old laptop collecting dust on my shelf

Very helpful staff, friendly, clean environment and a nice selection of items for sale. Highly recommended!

Very friendly and helpful. Professional service, I felt no judgement when pawning items for loan. I felt I got a fair amount and 30 days to pay it is fair. Interest rate is high for me, but pretty standard for a loan. Alan assured me my items would be safe and also explained a new text pay option. I am satisfied with giving them my business. read more

I received good service by this pawn shop. It was a big change from what I'm used to because where I from pawn shops treat you like dirt. Even though I was a first time customer they game me my full asking price because I needed some extra cash for my college text books. read more

B careful of Richard the owner b/c some years ago I bought a pair of diamond stud earrings and the clasp for the post on 1 of them was loose so he said, "let me see it", and he took it next door to his other shop and came back and took my hand in his and pressed it in my palm and said, "here", then he turned and immediately walked out of the shop back to next door...I was excited about having those diamonds when I put them on after I had left the shop later and looked in a mirror I noticed 1 was smaller than the other by about .25 cts...before he took the 1 next door they both were about .75 cts....he switched that stone on me !!! I went back a day or 2 later and he was in the doorway and I confronted quietly and before I could finish my first sentence he just shook his head a bit and his face got flushed right away and he walked away...after several years I finally got him 2 admit it...shady !!! read more

You're better off going to a different store I called them over the phone got A idea they do 20 to 30% of eBay value. my items had $140 on eBay I got offered for $10! My monitor was still in the box! I drove from upcountry when they found that out they gave me $10 for gas... don't waste your time going here wasted 3 hrs of my day! Went too a different pawn shop and got 30 percent value better yet shop around don't go here! Thanks for the 10 dollars. Aloha read more
