I did not have a regular mechanic to help with it so I did some research on on www.yelp.com and found Erik's Automotive. There were a few reviews. 1 negative and the rest positive. (2 of the reviews say it is a 1 star and not recommended however they are extremely positive reviews and I believe the reviewer either forgot or incorrectly put in a 1 star). The only negative review was regarding a part a customer purchased and installed himself where he complained the part was not good. The response from the business was very professional on Yelp and said that this did happen and that they did not install the part and there is no warranty when it is installed by another individual/company but that they had fully refunded this customer. So I took in my car. Right away, Erik, the owner welcomed us when we walked into the office. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He looked at my car and brought in sample pieces to actually EXPLAIN to me what happened and why my rear left brake went out and the rear right brake was fine. They fixed it within an hour and at a VERY reasonable cost! I was happy with this automotive shop and will continue to use their services in the future as well as recommend them **Side benefit is when they test drove my car to make sure the brakes were functioning well they actually stopped at a car wash and washed it for me. (it was filthy) Impeccable service!!!

As a plus, if you need a ride home when leaving your vehicle there and a pickup when its ready, they also provide that service free upon request. The service they provided today - power steering pressure hose replace - carries a 3yr/36k mile warranty. That's better for such a repair than any other shop I've ever been to. Be aware that they do charge an $80 diagnostic fee for up-front repair estimates. However the manager offered to consider waiving it if I get the repair done by them today. I believe that was because I asked up front when checking in. If I hadn't, I got the impression they would have charged for that even with the repair. In this case, however, they were very good about it and did not end up charging that fee. I'll be going back again - I like this shop.

5 stars all the way. Gil's Auto Works was recommended to me…read moreby a friend. I never had any auto paint done since owning my car, and my parents had paint jobs done decades ago by businesses that have since closed down. So naturally I was cautious on which paint and body shop I wanted to have my car serviced at. Enter Gil's Auto Works. They have 5 star reviews plastered on Google and here on Yelp. Looking at the reviews and photos here on Yelp, I was impressed by the work presented. I went in one day, no call in, just brought the car over and walked in to ask for a quote/estimate. Immediately I was helped by an associate (Robert Gil's brother) who went outside to look at my car. He quickly took a picture of the peeling paint, and the door jamb sticker in order to match the paint. He quoted me $300 to get the hood done. All under 5 minutes. Mr Robert Gil and I negotiated the price down to $250, and after getting quoted $600 at another paint and body shop, I took the car in about a week later. Mr. Robert Gil informed me that the car would be done in two to three days. Three days later I get a text that my car was ready to get picked up. I arrived after hours (the business was closed, but Mr. Robert Gil made sure I was able to pick up my car) and was greeted by another associate with my car ready at the front of the business. After handling the payment, the car was ready to come back home. When I saw the car, it looked brand new. Who would've thought that something as simple as fixing some peeling hood paint could make a 2008 car look like it just drove out of the dealership. The work on the car was phenomenal and the car looked much more sleek. I applaud Gil's Auto Works, not only for their craftsmanship, but for their unbeatable price and smooth customer experience. I would totally recommend Gil's, and for it being my first paint and body shop experience; man it was worth it.
