Specialties
Do you sometimes just want a friend to set aside an hour to hear you out? The most important part of mental health support is the relationship you have to your therapist/counselor/coach. Let’s see if we click! I specialize in working with people who have experienced life stressors resulting in symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, relational struggles, as well as grief and loss. Understanding how culture, race, ethnicity and identity play roles in every aspect of our lives, I seek to connect with and support my clients holistically. I also provide integration coaching for ketamine assisted psychotherapy and plant medicine. I utilize modalities such as EMDR, narrative, psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, art, EFT and IFS.
Meet the Business Owner: Kaley B.
I am a Bay Area native! Yes, one of the few of us left. I began working with individuals and families in 2002, working primarily with kinship families in Oakland (relative caregivers and their children), as well as foster families. I opened my private practice in 2017. I specialize in supporting clients with symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief, loss, relationship issues, divorce, identity struggles and building self confidence.
I have held roles as a Clinical Director, Supervisor, and Therapist for UCSF, Alameda County, at Kaiser in the Department of Psychiatry, as well as Hospice care. I work from a trauma-sensitive and strength-based perspective with each of my clients, and I love what I do! Let's do a free 20 minute phone consultation and see if I offer the support and connection you are seeking.
