I cannot express how poorly this place runs. If you have a generally healthy kid who doesn't need…read moremuch, this is the place for you. If you're like me and you have a disabled child with semi-complex medical needs then I suggest you run the other way as fast as possible. Starting when my son was about 14 months old, I took him in and was expressing how hard of a time I was having with him. It literally took everything I had, staring and shadowing over him all day, just to keep him alive. He had extreme outburst, anger, I had numerous black eyes and busted lips as he grew up. At 14 months old I was told that this was the terrible twos. Fast forward, my son spends between 4 and 8 hours a day screaming uncontrollably. Banging his head on stuff and just screaming. I kept taking him in and asking what was wrong, soon he started getting bloody sores on his bottom after having five to seven poopy diapers in a row, within a span of less than a few hours. I was changing him instantly and it was liquid and it smelled atrocious and he started getting bloody sores. I took him in they told me it was a yeast infection. I kept dealing with this for months and finally I got a referral to a GI at Children's in Plano who found a moderate to almost severe bowel blockage, that was only allowing the acid in his stomach to get by and basically frying his skin on contact, which proved I was changing him the instant it hit, but the stomach acid it burns instantly. I tried a year or two later to get a referral to a neurologist, because they wanted to explore a possible brain injury. I had staff up there literally call me and asked me how I was going to pay for it and refuse to do the referral. I could not understand why it was any of their business how I was going to pay or how it was going to go, their job was to write the referral and let me and the neurologist office work it out. So we never got to go to neurology for the acquired brain injury. Then he started being unable to have a bowel movement in 2025, so in June I believe that was the month, I took him in because we had been 5 days without a bowel movement and they said he was simply constipated and kept trying to give me more medicine. I was following everything they said and nothing was getting better so then I went to Urgent Care who also told me the same thing and sent me away. That following week my son started having esophageal seizures and while eating he choked and I had to Heimlich him numerous times in my kitchen floor until he started throwing up. He almost passed away because once more they weren't listening to me and misdiagnosing him. This is where I started losing my temper with them. He was hospitalized for 5 days, he had to have a g-tube clean out he went through all manner of things being done to him that is traumatized him to go into the doctor. The hospital there said that we needed a GI referral immediately. I called his pediatrician and they were like no you have to come in first. I was like I've already been in for this issue and he was already misdiagnosed this is well above what you guys or even the hospital and the staff they had on hand at the moment can handle. They had me wait another 5 days for the referral in which time my son was hospitalized again while waiting. I finally had to walk in and put up a video of him screaming in pain in my living room floor and telling them I need this referral before they would hand me one. Since then he has been hospitalized again for another 4 days and had to have another clean out. I just recently went the beginning of February, to see them. And they inform me that I have some 11 or $12 balance from like 2 years ago that if Cigna hadn't covered it will point would have gladly if paid it. And I already had issues with their billing because twice they charged my husband $100 whenever our deductible had already been met. So when I went to see them in February I specifically said that I needed someone to send the referral over for his respite care, to look to see if they could sign on his tefa form, which I didn't think they could, that I needed a referral to a neurologist, and that I wanted to explore the possibility of a different medication which they said the neurologist would have to do. So I sit here for what has to be 2 weeks waiting on this referral for his respite care and I finally call them for them to call me back and tell me that due to how I treated the staff, he was no longer a patient. Yes I have definitely been very upset with the staff and the doctors up there because we never see the same doctor more than twice and it takes weeks to get referrals out of them and they constantly misdiagnose him and yet we get cut because I'm trying to do what's right by my son and get him the care he needs and the help he needs which should be their job, that's what they're there for. So now we are in complete limbo with all of his referrals and his respite

There are two things that make this office TOP NOTCH: Nurse line to call in and report symptoms before you book an appointment. Their philosophy is to not have you come in if it's not necessary and have the child exposed to more germs. They confer with the dr and call you back with home suggestions at no cost. The second thing is they always have open appointments for same day care. That is rare to find and such an important thing in pediatrics. The location is easy to get to, staff is great, and we would recommend this office to any new parent.

Rather than having an open discussion about our concerns or respecting our right as parents to make informed medical decisions, the response was simply to drop us from the practice. Healthcare should involve partnership, education, and respect for patient autonomy. Instead, this experience felt dismissive and judgmental. Parents should be able to ask questions and make decisions for their children without feeling pressured or punished for their beliefs. Families deserve providers who are willing to communicate and support patients, even when perspectives differ.
