When he moved his practice North I didn't want to drive that far. That was the biggest mistake I have ever made. I have been back with him for three years now and would fly to another State if I had to. He is that good. Trust me you would not be disappointed. I have had all of my family move over to him. He never rushes. He is so dedicated to his patients. This past year I was very sick and I remember Dr. Goff saying to me: My job is to keep you alive. What Doctor do you know where if you are sick and you need him he will respond. His office staff is very friendly and Stacy she is the best of the best. She is loving and caring as well. Hid Nurse Practitioner Lori is awesome. I see Dr. Goff or Lori when I have to an appointment. You very seldom have to wait long, but if you do, he is worth the wait.

However, the experience at the front desk during the most recent visit was very disappointing. The interaction with the reception staff -- including one staff member who appeared to be named Jeany (or a similar name) -- felt dismissive and unprofessional. Both the English-speaking and Spanish-speaking receptionists handled the situation in a manner that came across as lacking patience and compassion. This was particularly concerning because the patient is an older adult who needed some guidance with the administrative process. Healthcare environments should ensure that all patients, especially seniors, are treated with dignity, patience, and respect. It is my sincere hope that the doctor or clinic management becomes aware of this concern and reviews how patients are treated at the front desk, so that future patients receive the support and professionalism they deserve.

It is much larger than the old North Garland facility with what looks to be an emergency center in part of the building. After circling one time to get my bearings of where the clinic area was located I entered. I should say the reason I've stayed with Baylor all these years is personal, friendly service and diagnostic advanced care. So it was good to know progress and growth had not dampened those attributes, but as one should expect- made positive strides in my opinion to advance both service and care with a bit more speed. Being employed in tech I immediately appreciate their use of new "stuff", from the Phone app to the gear they employ for even my simple checkup. Nothing like speed when your waiting on the numbers! Service- It's a big place but after determining where clinic was from the entryway shingle, I was greeted warmly and escorted to the area where my new doctor served. Short wait- very good first visit with "new" Dr- some diagnostic tech and I'm done. While I was out in under 1 hr, even with a meet/greet the new doctor, I felt very good about the visit and Baylor. This was a Friday the 13th visit but I had some lab results on Saturday via the Baylor app and full results with Doctor recommendations Sunday evening. Pleased to say the least - 5/5!

However, BSW is now adding an extra $300 "Hospital Facility Fee" to every doctor visit. My last doctor visit was $300 to see the doctor, $150 for blood tests done in the dr office, and a $300 Hospital Fee. $750 for a single office visit. Baylor is "nonprofit" in the same way the Epstein Class are "taxpayers". (Their CEO made 10 million dollars last year, and nobody on the board was paid less than a million. So...)

I was…read morecontacted to make a check-up appointment and I asked to go ahead and get orders for my lab work to have that done ahead of time so we could review them at my appointment. You get very little face time in any medical office these days, and I wanted to maximize my time and actually discuss my lab results in person for once instead of in a hurried phone call at the end of the PA or nurse's day when she's hustling to get her calls for the day done. I left the request for lab orders on the voice mail for Dr Popa's nurse. When no one called me back after a week, I called again and I was told the lab orders were at the front desk for me to pick up. When I went to pick them up, there was nothing for me. After waiting 20 minutes the office admin hustled me into a back office and told me that it was office policy to only write lab orders at the time of an appointment. I was not allowed to speak with Dr Popa or her PA about my request. So now I have to wait three weeks until the appointment to get the lab orders. Then I've got to make two more appointments- one at Quest to get the labs run and another to review the results since I expect them to show some changes in my health. At some point I'm going to run out of meds before this is over and can get a new scrip written. Letting me get the lab work in advance would have avoided that situation. Update - looking for a new doctor now. I can only see or talk to the PA and she won't listen to me . She's made up her mind about why my thyroid levels are high and refuses to listen to my other symptoms and concerns.

They are also connected with other specialties besides family practice in this large group. They have cardiologist, orthopedic surgeons, gynecologist, eye, doctors dentist it makes the sharing of information about your health with your Primary Care Physician seamless and easy.
