While I was waiting, I got a chance to meet the owners and they were so nice and told me they were moving to a larger space this Summer. I decided to try the flavored lemonade and I got the mango flavor. It was so delicious and refreshing. My order didn't take too long to be prepared. I ordered the beignets. I also ordered shrimp and salmon grits and I got my salmon blackened and I got the peach cobbler bread pudding. My key takeaways are the salmon and shrimp grits dish was very flavorful. It was hot and fresh, and it was the perfect portion. My beignets were hot and fresh and I loved the taste and texture but it was missing the powdered sugar and I would've liked to have had a dipping sauce, maybe chocolate caramel or strawberry with it, not sure if I should've asked for it or if it should've came as an addition. I personally did not care for the peach bread pudding. It was too sweet and for some reason didn't actually remind me of bread pudding so I would probably try a different dessert like the red velvet cake next time. I was told the onions and peppers came on the potatoes instead of the grits, which was fine because I mainly wanted the spinach anyway. When the meal arrived, there was no spinach. The waitress checked with the cooks, and they claimed the spinach did not come with the meal, even though it was clearly listed on the menu. They then attempted to charge extra for it, despite it being included in the advertised price. I also asked to speak with a manager, but no manager ever came out. Unfortunately, the poor communication and lack of customer service from the kitchen staff and management overshadowed what could have been a much better experience.
