I took my father here for lunch last time I visited and I'm happy I did. The lunch menu on that Sunday was short, but reasonable: a three-course menu of the day, some five or six permanent dishes, and the "Classic lunch of the day". That Sunday the Classic was (brown) beans with pork belly (bruna bönor med fläsksida), a Swedish classic indeed, which I hadn't had for years and years. It was delicious, partly from reminiscence and nostalgia, of course, but it was simply a delicious dish, and not too badly priced at 140 SEK. I was driving so had only water, but my dad had a very hoppy "Sleepy Bulldog" Pale Ale (from a Swedish brewery on the island of Gotland), not bad, though more like an IPA.
The location is nice, on the lake, and the service was OK though a tad slow. A pretty well-deserved four stars and worth another visit. read more
