BTT Schaumburg is nothing short of amazing…read more Coach Junior is the perfect instructor. He cares about individual success -- whatever it may be. If you want to train for lifestyle. If you want to train for self defense. If you want to train for sport, he works with you to get you to your destination. I gain more confidence not just in Jiu Jitsu everyday that I train under him, but outside of the gym as well. He pushes you to be the best that you can be, and the best that you want yourself to be. His kids classes have been truly great. My two boys (and eventually my little girl) have loved his classes from the start. He provides clear direction, and keeps them engaged and makes the classes enjoyable but with skill-based technique games as well. The approach that Coach Junior and the rest of the coaches (Coach Dylan, Coach Michael, Coach Mac) take with the kids makes them feel like family. The kids used to be timid about 'sparring,' but now all of the kids can't wait to jump in and test out their technique in a safe and fun environment. All I see are smiles.

I can't say enough good things about Brazilian Top Team in Schaumburg and Professor Junior!…read more Junior is an amazing instructor- He gives clear demonstrations and is hands on throughout the entire class offering advice and support by coaching students through the positions. He's extremely patient and thorough with his direction. His classes are very well thought out and intentional- they offer time to learn techniques, time to drill with partners, and time to practice and apply new skills! The facility is top notch- it's a very clean and spacious gym with high quality mats. All of the students are very welcoming and willing to teach & learn alongside you! I highly recommend checking out BTT in Schaumburg at any level!

Five Stars all the way. There are too many good things to say!…read more I did the jiu jitsu classes for almost two years before I had to move across county. The culture is great, everyone makes it point to learn your name and get to know you. They take lessons at your pace. If you can only make it once week and learning is slow, it's no problem. If you want to go everyday and roll you can. Master Kim-- Jeff, really makes a huge difference as well. He instructs a variety of other martial arts such as Judo and Kyuki-do. He really is a master of multiple arts and it comes through in the self defense and jiu jitsu classes. He has obviously been teaching for a very long time and knows how to structure a class and explain and demonstrate concepts in understandable way. If you have been rolling for years or its your first time I guarantee you will improve! When I told him I had to relocate across they country, Jeff spent a lot of extra time reviewing and getting me through to my last test, you can tell he very much cares about your progress. They also offer Muay Thai classes and many people would double it up with the jiu jitsu classes-- not something I did but the guys who did do it got a great work out. If you have researched other classes you may think that this school limits you by making you focus on certain set of self-defense skills but I have rolled at A LOT of other gyms since I have left (as a 4 stripe white belt) and it has been extremely easy to transition to other gyms and see that those moves they make you learn are ESSENTIAL! Some schools tend to jump all over the board on skills which can be very confusing for a new student. If you are at all interested in the martial arts or getting a good workout, check out this gym. They really do help you to reach the goals you want even going out of their way to do so.

The lesson was great, but when it came to joining the instructor for paperwork, I was treated…read moreextremely inappropriately, and can't see myself visiting this gym again

The mat chats with Sensei Alex at Victory MMA are everything! He is a cool dude and understands what is truly important in life. As a parent, it is so powerful for my son to hear these messages from Sensei. My son carries this joy and focus with him to school and into our home. We have been attending MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) for a year in the 4 to 7 year old class. I love being on the bleachers in the dojo to watch the class and hear the mat chat. This helps us reinforce the message at home and also practice the moves of the month. It is very easy to get acclimated to class. Sensei Alex is kind and has a genuine passion. There are also a number of "Sensei Dads" that take the adult class and help out with the kids class. They are all such lovely people! Everyone has a smile and is excited to be in the dojo training. The energy is contagious and the kids have a lot of fun while also learning discipline, confidence and focus. We are so grateful to be part of the Victory family!

My hopes honestly were just to get him introduced to the mat in preparation for his future wrestling career in a way that wouldn't get him burned out like so many kids I know that get forced to wrestle at such a young age. This has turned out to be so much more than that for him. He learns more about respect and honor and making good habits than he does anything else. I've seen my son grow not just as a martial artist, but as person; inside and outside of the dojo. Sensei Alex Krotiak is absolutely amazing and it is no wonder that the class has gotten so popular that he had to add another youth class due to the overwhelming demand by parents to get their kids in his program. I absolutely love this place and all they do, I can't say enough good things about it. I would recommend Victory MMA without hesitation to anyone looking lead their children down a fulfilling journey of respect, discipline and of course, self defense.

And the latter, I felt a bit like a newbie with only me and another white belt. The rest were purple and up. However, my brown belt partner was very supportive. The gym was clean, well-organized, and welcoming to visitors. The coach ran a structured class with solid technical details. Training partners were respectful, skilled, and supportive--perfect mix of intensity and safety. Definitely a spot I'd return to if I'm back in the area.

Classes are typically run by 2-3 black belts, though it's not uncommon to have additional visiting instructors. Typical class attendance is 10-20 students of various levels. Classes are structured well, instruction is scaffolded so that you're usually building off techniques introduced the previous classes. Come ready for a workout--from warm-ups all the way through sparring at the end, expect to be challenged physically. I've experienced nothing but positivity and support from instructors and senior members, many of whom take special care to provide additional instruction to make me a more effective grappler. There is strong camaraderie among members and a strong team atmosphere. I'm proud to be a member of the team.
