I live in Los Angeles and had visited Bend, Oregon only once before, when in 1980, on my way up to Washington State, my Peugeot broke down. I found a mechanic at little auto repair shop who replaced my Peugeot fuel pump with a Chevy fuel pump. It worked, so I was on my way. There was no reason to stay, as back then, Bend was pretty much a place that you stopped to fill up your gas tank, get a burger and move on. So, fast forward about 37 years, and now, Bend is now a really quaint town, with shops, breweries, cafes, and tons of outdoor activities at your disposal. My son, who has just passed his bar exam, has been hired by a local law firm in Bend Oregon. With that in mind, my wife and I decided to buy a home there, so that we could visit him often. I didn't know anyone in Bend, who I could ask to recommend a realtor, so I just started to look at the reviews on Zillow. That is when I saw Kailey's reviews and bio. She had excellent reviews, which all seemed to reflect her passion, enthusiasm and knowledge, as a real estate professional. They also reflected her commitment to excellence in serving her clients needs. The fact that she had spent her whole life in Bend, and knew the town intimately, was a big factor, as well. When I went up there, my intuition about Kailey turned out to be spot on. She had done tons of research, on her own, for me before I got there. She had a list of houses which she seemed very excited to show me, as well as some houses that I had seen on Zillow, which I had asked her to look into. She had put aside a few days, not only to show me properties, but to also give me an overview of Bend. Her knowledge of Bend and her obvious love of the town, was overwhelming. So, we ended up spending the few days looking at houses, with her also driving me around the town, showing me interesting places to go, good restaurants to dine at, and generally giving me an overview of the town of Bend. Kailey never tried to convince me to buy any property, which some realtors do, in a single desire to close a sale, and get their commission. Rather, she showed total class, total respect and total professionalism, listening to what I had to say, respecting my opinions and catering to my sensibilities, in showing me properties that she felt would be the best fit for me. After finding a great place and making an accepted offer, Kailey continued to help me out, in every way possible. She assisted me in applying for a permit to use the house as an Airbnb rental, for when my wife and I were not using the house. She went to a car dealer for me, to look at an automobile that I was interested in purchasing. She even went to the Bend permit office to pick up a sign, that I needed to post at my new house, announcing my intention to use it as a short term rental, on occasion. Kailey is honest, she is sweet, she is all pro, she knows and loves her town of Bend, Oregon, she loves to share her knowledge of Bend, every chance she gets. When she spoke to me about growing up in Bend, it was as if she was talking about an old, beloved friend. One day, while looking at the 3 mountain peaks, that are affectionately referred to as the 3 sisters, she commented..."I will never get tired of looking at those beautiful snow capped mountains. They are amazing". Not only did Kailey find me a great house, but I also have a new friend, in Bend, Oregon. Kailey is young, enthusiastic, honest, knowledgeable, professional and sweet. She is a special lady and a great real estate agent. read more
