Dr. Gorcey is a devoted master endocrinologist, who always seems to be on the cutting edge of his field, using the newest medical advancements, and eliminating reasons for patients to be nervous about having the procedures done. His staff exudes the same upbeat/positive attitude that resides in him. Each staff member appears to understand the importance their own roles in the entire process and to the patient. Each step, from signing in through recovery was well coordinated and went amazingly smooth. It is so good (and not so common in my experience) to see a medical staff that is so well trained, operates in a teamwork mentality, and is happy to be doing what they are doing. All of this (and the new same day 2-hour prep!) made for another very positive experience for me as a patient.

Besides a lot of confusion in their billing to us, this organization applied for medical insurance coverage from the wrong company even though we carefully provided the correct information for our primary and secondary medical insurance. "Dr. Lim was so cool, I sort of wish we were friends (instead of him being just some guy who stared up into my abyss). & there's none of the conversational awkwardness you get from most doctors (who tend to be bad at speaking to actual people)". When you have the full examination under anesthesia, Dr. Lim's office will also mail you a stack of color photo print outs of your insides with accompanying notes so you don't have to rely on vague descriptions of what is/ isn't abnormal up in there. I brought those to the specialist he referred me to; that person said it was helpful to have clear color photos for a change. After the surgery I wound up needing, that other specialist said my whole family should also get checked, so I convinced my sister to see Dr. Lim. She loved the guy, everything about the system & the procedure they have there (everything except for the actual butt examination, I assume) and she still mentions how much she liked him.

Based on my symptoms, she recommended a colonoscopy and endoscopy and made sure I understood the process and what to expect. Navigating new medical concerns can be stressful, but Dr. Shah made me feel comfortable and confident in the next steps. The result: almost no waiting time (15 minutes MAXIMUM) at his office. He has a great referral network. He's affable yet efficient, good- humored, and he takes your health and privacy seriously. When he has test results for you, including and especially STD/STI/venereal disease tests, he himself calls you. If you don't pick up, then he leaves you a message telling you to call him back, but doesn't leave the results of the tests themselves in the message. Those he ALWAYS gives you over the phone or in person. He delivers the good news briskly, and you feel he is as happy and relieved as you are. I've also seen him deliver uncertain or bad news with kindness and understanding, spending hours with her and her family discussing which option would be the better one. It was a contentious proceeding, but he handled it with diplomacy. professionalism and patience. The process lasted for several hours, concluding in a major decision that prolonged the patient's life. He has embraced the latest technology and pioneered an easy check-in process that streamlines the provision of patient information including insurance.

Not sure why I always ignored my health tests but I'm glad I now take my health more seriously. Having his wife Dr Jill Kavaler as my Anesthesiologist made the experience even better. They are really nice people on top of being great Doctors. I wasn't very comfortable when I arrived for my 1st Colonoscopy but the Ladies at the Front quickly made me feel relaxed and glad I came. I wasn't handed a bunch of papers to fill out like some other Medical places do. Everything was nice and seamless and quick but not rushed. The staff were all extremely nice.
