This review is for Dr. Sheldons office staff pertaining to:…read moreAshley the "medical assistant" Claudia "the office supervisor" Going to add to all the consistent reviews here and intend to file a formal complaint. Working mom of littles who took time off work to be at my physical this afternoon. I ran in and looked at my phone what was 1:34- with my appointment at 1:30. The "medical assistant" Ashley did not make any eye contact with me, say hello or address me by name. She is usually this terrible, rude and abrasive - the only reason I have stayed this long with this office is for Dr. Sheldon- but now I am done. She was just staring at her screen typing, 0 eye contact. Said its 1:37, your appointment is cancelled. We have no grace period. I was still in awe and how cold and rude she was. She came back to say I would have to sit and wait another 2 hours for my appt to be pushed to 3:30. I asked to speak with a manager, the usual made up response " she is not available" I asked where in their policy or contract does it state there is no grace period? Could there be some exception? I am a long time established patient, and it was completely empty. She said you signed something that there is no grace period. I did? Please show me such documentation, or documentation which reflects your office 0 grace period/policy. She started to scramble to print something on their office policy. She could not make sense of what she printed, what so ever. So she walked up to another employee, pointed to language, and her co-worker was just as clueless. I was never given that documentation about this policy. Her "supervisor" Claudia came back stating I was giving her employee a hard time, and also told me to sit and wait for said "office policy" Ashley's demeanor was terrible, so incredibly rude- 0 empathy for working in a doctors office around sick or fragile people. Claudia was just as bad, terrible manners, agressive with no solution despite being a manager. You would think shed approach me with a different mentality to make the alleviate the situation- they probably do this every day. Deflect. I hope there are some repercussion for the way they treat people, and will work on elevating this concern so there are some changes that do not affect others like me. If i could do 0 stars I would, have some compassion and grace.

Recently, she made both an ethical and medical error, which unfortunately is not an isolated incident. She has been known to fat-shame patients and promote unrealistic BMI targets. I started attending Huntington Family Medicine in 2021 with Dr. Parra. I had many appts back to…read moreback (mostly virtual) as Dr Parra was trying to track down what was going on with my health. She was always communicative and really tried to get down to the bottom of things. I did however often have to wait a long time for virtual visits. Dr Parra left the practice and I have now see Dr. Yam one time virtually and one time in person. She seems to be a great Dr. I feel very comfortable with her and she is just generally positive and a Dr you would never dread seeing. Unfortunately, I continue to have some health issues but Dr. Yam called me directly when the office was closed during the Christmas holiday to follow up on some recent blood work. I was blown away that she took that time and called me directly. I look forward to continuing to work with her.

This has been my primary…read moreprovider for the last few years, although the front medical assistants and front desk have been awful, which is an issue in itself as I am not sure why they don't manage the people in the front desk properly. They are rude, they don't really acknowledge you. And when you ask questions, its like you are bothering them - which like - im sorry if you really are having a bad day every day maybe you shouldn't work in customer service. Recently one of the biggest issue is I had called to tell them I need to update my pharmacy, they had told me to email them the updates. Which I did email the updates, and they replied saying they did update it. I called the office even to make sure the pharmacy is updated. However after my PCP visit I was suppose to get some medications, I waited about 2 weeks for the medication to be filled because I thought it took some time only to realize, that they had changed my pharmacy to a pharmacy that does not exisit in montebello that doesnt exist even, when strictly the email was regarding monterey park with specific instruction. When asked if they can do something about this situation as I do need the medication, they said that the provider is out of office and they cannot do anything about it. How is this the care they give, multiple time of negligence, and carelessness not to mention not being kind at all when I am talking with the front desk when I am there is just disappointing. I am quite frustrated as it used to be my favorite place to recommend people, now I can't even recommend anyone. Its hard to get a hold of anyone on days the office is closed, but its even harder to get a hold of someone when the office is open when i am off as well. And there isn't quite a grace period when you are late, and this structure have impossible parking - which makes it even harder. I used to not mind a lot of the things, including medical mistakes, but how can I ignore all of these when I am not being heard and medical errors are occurring as well?

I had a full chart with that doctor. Not sure what happened to it. I was currently trying for a baby and have to get annual breast exams due to my family history of breast cancer. I had the ultrasounds done and even a biopsy on my breasts a month prior to seeing her for my physical and doctor Hethumuni insisted that I get a full mammogram before I continue to try for a baby. I made the mammogram appointment for the next day. When I showed up to the appointment they told me it had been canceled. I tried to make another one. They called me and said they canceled it. They kept canceling it because they said I was not in need of a mammogram at this stage of life. It took a while before I had figured out that they were calling. Dr. Hethumuni's office every time before they canceled my appointments. She had written down in my file that I did not need a mammogram until the age of 42, despite telling me in the office that I should not try for a baby until after I get a mammogram. She cost me a month of trying for a baby. I never received an apology for her massive mistake. She is also continuously late for telehealth appointments, and not exaggerating. When I say that one time I waited 40 minutes for her. Yet I still owe $45 for an appointment that I was 8 minutes late for an appointment when there was no parking anywhere within a mile of their facility. I called when I got there 5 minutes before my appointment and said there was no parking. And they replied there is no grace period. The audacity is pretty outrageous.

We received a free consultation prior to registering for the subscription, which allowed us an opportunity to evaluate Dr. Wong's expertise and decide that her professional training and clear communication style suited my relative's medical care needs. Dr. Wong differentiates herself from every other primary physician I have met because she is accessible 24/7, especially during emergencies or complex medical situations. We can contact her through phone or email anytime and she is extremely responsive. She also proactively advocates for her patients' rights and takes the time to explain in thorough detail complex diagnoses. When my relative underwent an intensive surgical procedure, Dr. Wong was available every step of the long procedure and long recovery period to answer questions on side effects, adjust medication, and prescribe additional medication when appropriate. Dr. Wong also communicated and interfaced with the other doctors/ specialists to advocate on behalf of her patient during a stressful period of time so that the patient could focus on recovery. Finally, Dr. Wong administers medical care with unfaltering precision and a holistic consideration of the patient's entire medical background. Her advice and diagnoses demonstrate that she deeply understands her patient's medical history, current ailments, and what treatment is most effective and appropriate for this particular individual patient.
