I could get convinced that the reviews were trustworthy too. My husband and I were delighted by the quality of the coffee. I must say that i was hoping for a slightly higher "coolness factor" from the cafe interior itself, as there are some really interesting pieces of vintage coffee-making equipment and the barista school within the cafe, even plenty of certificates from numerous barista competitions, including one personal guiness record entry hanging on the wall..... which could all be made into a very hip environment. However, by the end of our stay, I realized these guys are just about making excellent coffee and the rest doesn't matter that much after all... Fair enough!

Their daily specials are sooooo delicious, inspired, flavorful, and well priced. They had everything from vegan lentils to goulash to venison and delectable desserts when we ate here. The homemade raviolis were incredible. I ADORED the waiters both times we ate here and couldn't get enough of the coffee house culture. recommended.

A cozy table for two by the window with some bubbles in our glasses signaled what was coming. We chose from three set menus with a small customization to accommodate one of us choosing three courses & one choosing four. There was no need to alter the food! What stood out to us, beyond the exquisite presentation & taste, was the thoughtful pacing of our meal. No hurry to get to the next course in order to turn the table. Instead we were encouraged to linger over each wine chosen to complement each course before the next one was served. Even our bathroom breaks were taken into consideration as part of the pacing. What a wonderful start to our time in Austria, Germany & Hungary, well done!

The menu is small, which is typically a good sign that everything is fresh made. Overall, while pleased with the taste of the food, the tiny portion sizes and exorbitant prices really make this place not worth going to. You have much better options nearby.

Absolutely fantastic dinner tonight at Piano Cafe Bar. We arrived Innsbrook, late afternoon…read more Hours of sightseeing later, we asked a bartender for a dinner recommendation. Without hesitation, he said Piano for great local fare including best steaks in Innsbrook. Great recommendation! Service was great, the bathrooms clean! LOL We shared a great house salad, then dined on the loin strip "Paris-style" and the beef filet in peppercorn sauce. Both steaks were expertly prepared, and served fresh from the kitchen! Sides of the potato cake were amazing! Even the bread was off the charts! We also shared a bottle of delicious Austrian red wine, and the apricot crepe (they call them pancakes) with a side of vanilla ice cream. Yum! The restaurant was fully booked, but squeezed us in when we agreed to be served whenever they could make it. So glad we did! Best meal in quite some time. Highly recommend Piano in Innsbrook!
He Said: This review is for our visit in April of 2024…read more We were driving from Trento to Munich on the last leg of a wonderful trip through Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, and Italy and knew Innsbruck was our place for lunch. We had targeted a place down the way and it was not a good fit at all. Thank the gods! We located Piano after a brief online search and are so happy we did. I had the Wiener Schnitzel and a lovely beer or two. Wow, that tiny kitchen cranks out some amazing food! I couldn't have been happier. The owner was bustling about, taking care of us and the many others, and she was so kind and welcoming. If we were staying in town we'd go back. Why didn't we stay here??? She Said: I had tomato soup and a glass of wine, and I could not have been happier with my humble and delicious meal. We appreciate the staff fitting us into a little table on a very busy day, and when I say I daydream about that soup, I'm not kidding. Potty Points: No trip to the potty for me!

I have not met him in the two times I was here but this is what I was told: He doesn't only serve drinks. No, check this out, On the wall I saw 5 computer screens. If he is not there the 5 screens show all kind of latest weather information. When he is around he will forcast the weather for you at the spot. Great for us snowboard/ski fanatics out there! The cafe has a modern setting and is extremely clean including the toilets. A radio station playing the latest pop music is playing a bit louder than just back ground volume. There is free wi-fi. The staff speaks english. (went here twice and spoke to two different bar staff) The first time I was here with my girlfriend for lunch and we wanted something warm (it was very cold outside). The choice for warm food is very limited. Soup, toasti, or ciabatta. A great place to have a drink though. They are open 9 till midnight every day although they may close early on Sunday I was told. The drink menu is not extremely large but is has all the essentials and freshly squeezed orange, appel and carrot juice. I tried a combination of appel and carrot and it was the way it should be. The location is not great but it is easy to find. Right next to the Triumphal Arch (Triumphpforte). The arch can be seen from a few of the seats in the cafe. Yet the arch is not in the old town and right on one of Innsbruck busy roads so the view is mainly lots of cars and busses. The big windows (floor to ceiling) allow ample day light during the day. 5 stars if you just want to sit down for a quick drink during the day. I have not been here at night and cannot tell you if the admosphere is also 5 stars then.

Anyhow, the music was very good but not too loud so we could enjoy it while it played and also have a nice conversation. No doubt the non smoker zone is less cooler than the smokers area, but at least I didn't smell like an ashtray. The guy who served us was bartender waiter and a cashier all in one... And it was pretty busy, yet he kept it cool with great service and a sense of humor.. He was pretty cool.
