Plenty of parking, easy to get to, and there are plenty of tables and chairs inside if you want to savor your food and beverage while seated in comfort. Will be back.

Visiting Kirksville for the week and was in a pinch for a pick-me-up nearby. I usually make my own…read morelatte or visit a small-biz coffee shop but this time, I was going for convenience. Well, first off, they did not have mobile order available so I went inside to order. When I got there and ordered a flat white, they told me that their espresso machine was broken so they could not make any espresso drinks, only brewed coffee was available. So I opted for a blond roast. When I got it, I tried a sip and it was lukewarm, borderline room temperature. When I told the barista, she said it was from the bottom of the coffee maker and that they were brewing a new batch. Anyway, I didn't have time to wait for them to brew the coffee so I took it, left and threw it away. Apparently, this is a very common occurrence at this particular Starbucks location and that for them to fix their espresso machine, they have to wait for someone from Kansas City to come fix it which could take weeks. I ended up going to Gathering Grounds a few blocks up to get another coffee which was far better. You're better off going elsewhere for your caffeine fix.

Great coffee for those needing a Latte fix in Ottumwa…read more I had a coffee from The Vine recently while in Ottumwa for work. I have to admit to being a Starbucks junkie normally. I like knowing not only that I will get the same drink every time I order, no matter where I go in the country, but also that I have a place to go to get away from it all and come out smelling divinely like coffee. The Vine prepared a Pumpkin Spice Latte that rivals those I've gotten from the 'bucks. I found myself falling into the cozy warmth of fall with my first sip, kind of like that sensation of flopping back into a leaf pile when I was a kid and fall was at its peak. The coffee was delicious and why wouldn't it be they use coffee from my favorite coffee place in Kansas City, the Roasterie.
