I will start by saying I have used Adam a total of 3 times over the years. I own several rental…read morehomes and usually need a large job painter about once a year. I tend to be loyal to companies who do a good job so I came back again. The first two times I was satisfied with his work. Most recently he was incredibly overpriced, ridiculously sloppy, and more than 3 weeks late in a house I was preparing to sell - which put me out of the selling season, delayed other contracted work and seriously affected my business. I could go on and on with the details but, bottom line, I would NEVER use him again and I would NEVER recommend him. I €a™m now stuck finishing his shoddy paint job and hiring someone else for baseboards. Apparently, when you hire someone to paint a 900 sq ft townhouse for over $3,000 that includes removing the baseboards but not putting them back on - that would be another $1,000!!! What a scam! If he responds to this he will claim he wasn't paid and that is the probem but in reality I paid a deposit to get on his schedule, mailed half of the total when he started and was supposed to pay the rest when he finished. The first half check that was sent directly from my bank was, in fact, delayed in the mail by a few days. Much to my displeasure as well. I don't expect anyone to work for free and I have never EVER had an outstanding debt. He immediately started freaking out - saying I was causing him to not be able to pay his rent and buy groceries, etc. This is all despite the fact that he started a week later then he was supposed to and was working at a snails pace. Then comes the ridiculous additional charge for baseboards. So this all began to feel quite shady! I live out of state so I came to Albuquerque just because of this situation. I wanted to see it for myself. I arrived and was prepared to write a check or pay him cash in person and found my house was a mess and he was working at a neighbors house instead of finishing the job! 3 weeks after he should have been done!!!! In the end I became alarmed by his behavior including him sending abusive text messages to my mother (who is an Albuquerque local and gave him access to the property) about me. I've paid him completely for the services he provided despite them being subpar and incomplete. I don't know if it is because I am a woman, I am out of state or that my multiple properties make it look like I have deep pockets (which I don't! Lol) but he certainly tried to take advantage. I'll take my business elsewhere.
