Super salty noodles and very expensive! No free water! not impressed and don't recommend!

High end mall with 7 floors. The 6th floor...what looks like a fine dining area while the 7th floor is the food court for budget-conscious people. Some brand items are cheaper here than in the US. Hard to find Omega Swatch in the US is available here. Hubby got me the Mission to Venus. Yay! Just outside the mall are life-sized hand-painted sculptures of bears hand in hand that promote peace and tolerance.

We had a fun time shopping in the KaDeWe department store. When we got to the top, what we Americans would describe as a "food court" was quite elegant. It's a great place for a mid-afternoon snack, in our case coffee and dessert.

OMG this place was amazing. I've never seen anything like it. We came here to try to have dinner but we waited too late and everything was too crowded. We kind of ran through or I would have gotten more pictures. There's all kinds of restaurants, like something for everyone and it's laid out so cool, it's like a bunch of little restaurants all in one place. We didn't shop here but it looked like you could find everything you need in one place (high-end). I've never seen a "mall/food hall" like this one. Would love to come back and spend some time in here.

KaDeWe is a requisite experience for anyone visiting Berlin. The high end department store in West Berlin is like Harrods of London. And at the top floor, you can get fancy and have champagne and oysters. It'll cost you a bit but it is a lovely experience. And the oysters are expertly shucked.

    Sprawling food hall!

Foodies, stop what you're doing and plan a trip to Berlin's KaDeWe right now. I mean it. Go. You owe it to yourself! I visited this famous German department store solely for their famed food hall. I was not disappointed. The food hall rivals the very best in the world (yes, better than the one at Harrods in London). It's sprawling and laid out with a mixture of sit-down restaurants, counter and bar service, takeaway cases, and food department store style shops. I spent a couple of hours noshing on small snacks at several different venues. There's also a fantastic cafeteria on the upper level which is a great place for a hearty and healthy lunch. I almost lost it when I saw that they had fountain Coke and AN ICE MACHINE! It's nearly impossible to get ice in a soda in Europe. All I can say is go here if you love food. It's awesome!

This is the Bloomingdale's of Berlin. Where all the tourists come to shop; where the rich locals go to drop some euros. Basically, my unfancy self can't afford anything in this fancy store. Except maybe something from the food hall on the 7th Floor. I will happily drop some hard earned cash on hand dipped chocolates. Sip on some fine champagne. (they have Veuve as their standard and a vintage Laurent Perrier -- don't ask how much was per glass; I had a cheap prosecco from Italia) Pair your expensive bubbles with even more expensive caviar. For those who are starving, (because when you shop, you burn calories) KaDeWe has a very enticing prepared hot foods section and also a seafood stall where you can purchase everything your little heart desires. Just swipe your credit card. Since we were on a budget (bf saved the euros to buy me MK shoes!) we shared the oh-my-gawd strawberry shortcake while sitting next to the window overlooking the streets below. Us: "look at those poor humans! can't even afford to step into KaDeWe!" * bahahaha!! * Cheers to our 10 minute fantasy.

Huge department store with a floor for everything: food, clothing, homewares, furniture, souvenirs, and it even has a restaurant on the top floor. The food hall is a whole floor and has a bunch of stalls with different kinds of cuisines as well as sections to buy pastries, baked goods, a deli, etc.

This might be the best department store I have ever shopped in, including those in Japan, as well as Harrod's.

True, there were a lot of people on a weekday and there was an air of chaos, but I just avoided the crazed teenagers who were killing time after school as best I could. I didn't try on any of the clothes, so I can't speak to them. But I did get some accessories that were cute and incredibly cheap, like sunglasses, scarves, socks, and undies. I only hope that the quality is better than some people suggest, but time will tell. It would be nice if there was more than one Primark in Berlin, although I can eventually see that happening. Even so, the location in Steglitz is a good choice, as it's along a shopping street. I have heard rumors of ethical concerns, however, so I think I would like to read up on those before returning.

I come here time to time, sometime I come here just to check out what new stuff they offer. I don't really have probably with crowd, it never really bothered me. I always could find something interesting here, some of them are quite nice and particular. This Primark may seem Hugh, but if you really doing shop inside, somehow might get the feeling it isn't big enough. The women's clothing at the ground floor. I am not sure if this a settle thing of just temporary. They moved the decorations section also there. Men's clothing and kids are all upstairs. They actually offer lots of different style there, from sunny beach style to profession ties and suits. Plus the price is real cool. The quality of most of products here are good, but because of my experience, I do have some doubts with their shoes. If you got a limited budget, this is a great place to check it out. If you don't like the crowd, you could always come here after 19:30 in the weekdays. According my experience, that is the time in this place have less customers visit. The whole place become cleaner and more comfortable to shop. I like to come here time to time, they offer sometime very nice surprises. This Primark also located in a very nice area, there are lots of thing going on. Nice place to hang around with friends and shopping.
