After leaving another restaurant in the same center due to lack of service, we decided to try Kabab Corner. Unfortunately, we had a very similar experience. The buffet actually smelled and looked great, and there was one family dining, so we were hopeful. I let the staff know we had a party of five, but the woman at the front just stared at us without responding. I asked if we could sit anywhere, and she walked to the back without answering. We felt unwelcome and unsure of what to do, so we left. We ended up going down the street to Broderick Roadhouse, where the service was friendly and the food was amazing. I'd recommend going there instead. read more

Kebab Corner brings all of the great south Asian flavors and lots of heat to match! I've heard good things about the buffet but on this stop I chose to order from the kitchen. I went with the combo special, chicken biryani, beef samosa and I got some garlic naan as well! I really enjoy the boldness of flavor with the combo special which came with a delicious chicken curry. The Biryani was also packed with flavor and I really enjoyed the spiciness it packed. The winner for me was the beef samosa. Loved the flaky crust around the minced beef insides. I could eat those all day. The service was nice. I ordered ahead and my food was ready on time. I was greeted with very friendly service and I enjoyed the atmosphere inside. Poison! It's been 5 hours since dining and I have the indications of food poisioning, pounding headache, bloated stomach rumbling, and lethargy. Staying close to the john tonight. Without doubt this is the worst Indian food I've ever had. Buffet dishes were not fresh, had a skin on top, watery, less than mild, almost no spice, lettuce wilted, and light on protein. The Naan was overcooked and both sides were crispy without a soft interior. Choices were extremely limited. One was humorous, a pot of what looked like Chef Boyardee spaghetti labeled as "chinese"... Others looked like market discarded meat chunks with bones in a water broth. The only traditional vegetarian dishes were cholay, garbanzo in curry, and it was runny, not thick with little taste and spinach (aloo) seemingly without the tofu cheese looking vastly overcooked and slimy. Relatively clean with ample parking. Shockingly priced, $20.75 for one with only water as a beverage. read more

The buffet was affordable, and the food tasted ok. However, none of the food had any spices on them. I mean everything from the garlic Naan to the lamb curry. The Naan looked like it had garlic, but had no garlic taste at all. The lamb was cooked really nice, but again was not spicy at all. I think this is my 1st time going to a Pakistani restaurant with a spice level of zero. FYI, Pakistani food are usually spicier than Indian. I'm kinda disappointed. read more

I came here for lunch with my officemates and even they were satisfied with the food. The service was a little on the slow side...which ate into our 1 hour lunch break. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and it was very good, albeit being slow to arrive. The price was very reasonable. They had a buffet available, and we all agreed to try it the next time we go here for lunch. The buffet actually looked great! One of the few all-day buffets I could find for Pakistani/Indian food. Server was kind when he asked if we were there for the buffet. He took our order for fresh garlic naan and brought it to our table once we got our plates of food. It was a bit confusing, but you can pick anywhere to sit and immediately start grabbing food. You pay when you leave. Place could improve on cleanliness. I almost slipped when there was water spilled on the floor and the bathrooms didn't have toilet seat covers. Value wise it's definitely worth it. They restocked the food about 30 mins before closing. The mutton was my favorite, and the fresh naan was so good. Fish and desserts were also good. Got two plates before tapping out. The chicken and (beef?) were a bit dry. But we also came an hour before closing. Although service was hit or miss (two people asked if we enjoyed the food, but we also saw one worker sitting on the table next to the food while he was talking on the phone) but for the value it's kind of expected. We were greeted so pleasantly and it smelled so amazing upon walking in. It's so pretty and well lit. The chairs where we sat were comfortable. They have tables for 4, 8, and looks like for a larger party. They also have booths. The food was amazing. What a great gift!!! & all the dishes have labels to show what it is which was also really nice. & the naan garlic bread was so delicious. I highly recommend lunch. I've been coming here for the last several years now. I recommend it to all my neighbors and friends. It is so convenient. The food is there and ready. If you're a picky eater, you cannot go wrong with various meats, such as chickens, lambs or goats and rice. All restaurants have these basic items. Very healthy. I don't usually come here alone. It's always with a friend, coworker or neighbor. I always stop by when we have a time constraint. Although it is a buffet, I only eat 1-2 plates and then be done. Sometimes, sit and talk to my friends a bit or just take off and do other tasks around town. Enter, grab a plate and start eating. You can order nans or not. I don't. Just get soda from their refrigerator or ice water on the counter. Not wasting time. Not waiting for anything to be ready. Straight to the food and straight back to a busy life. The workers are nice and polite. They get whatever you want, greet you and requests you come back again. The owner always seems to remember me and come over for a brief chat. Super sweet. I will always go here as long as I live. It just vibes and connects with me. A hole-in-the-wall family-owned business that's here to stay for hundreds of years from now. One of West Sacramento's best kept secrets. Less than a mile from Sacramento county limit. Kabab is Yolo county territory. Food for all people from all walks of life: meat and rice. We went as a group of 7 for an iftaar dinner and I would recommend arriving as early as possible before the rush as the seating is limited as is the space around the buffet. They had plenty of meat options which was a pleasant surprise for a buffet, but I felt the taste was mediocre. The chicken tikka masala was too tangy and the paaya a bit spicy for my taste. My favorite item was the warm gulab jamun, but the serving spoon that was with it had holes so a lot of the syrup fell through it. The location is convenient with easy freeway access. I would be back if I was in the area but would probably not specifically make a trip out. read more

I ordered frim here the other night and was so pleased with delicious food, the exotic flavors and briliant colors were outdone only by the delicioius food itself. I had the goat biryani and the combo which included tandoori chicken & fish plus a chicken kebab, everything was wonderful! The mutton was tender and had no gamey wild taste, very mild and wonderful. The meat combo was spiced perfectly and I tasted fresh herbs in the chicken kebab and the beautiful yellow from turmeric. My boyfriend and I absolutely love this place! We always get the buffet and it's very easily the best spot to get authentic Indian food especially with the price! The food is always delicious and filling, the garlic naan WOWOW it is always made fresh to order and comes out perfectly fluffy with a bit of crisp on the outside. The service is always wonderful, fast, and polite. It's quiet and comfortable inside, it's definitely a more lowkey spot but so wonderful and cozy. I actually went there and was really disappointed with customer service, but it seemed like a lot of people that came by really liked the food. I got a to go box, its good indian halal food, cant beat that. I wont be going back due to their lack of basic service. And the Naans weren't ready which irritated me, took like 10 minutes to bake 2 naans. I did not tip them, irritating people. But lets focus on the food, it was flavorful and well cooked. I've been to Kabob Corner once before when I didn't live in West Sacramento, but now that I am conveniently just a few blocks away, I figured Thursday was a good time to give it another try. I went in just around noon on my lunch break and found the spot empty, which worked out in my favor. I got to choose where I wanted to sit and was perhaps the first person to try the buffet. Score! Upon entering, I was greeted by an employee who was seated for lunch. If the employees are eating the food, that's always a good sign! He asked if I wanted any naan or garlic naan and I opted for garlic naan. From there, I was free to seat myself and have at it. I grabbed a Diet 7-Up from the fridge (a bit of a bummer they didn't have Diet Pepsi, considering they had regular Pepsi, but no big) and went to the buffet to fill up. There was a good assortment of meat and veggie options from chicken tikka masala, to Chana masala, to samosas, and more. I filled my plate with cow feet curry (the name eludes me), samosas, aloo palak, rice, a chili chicken, a pakora curry and honestly just about everything they had between my two trips for lunch options. The garlic naan came shortly after I sat down and I had at it. Everything was great! Lots of flavor, plenty of sauce, etc. I filled up my plate on the first round and ended up filling it again on the second trip back. By the time I was done, I was sufficiently full, but I had to go back for dessert, as it was an option. I grabbed a small bowl of the rice kheer and some gulab jamun for my dessert - both awesome. I especially liked the sweetness of the gulab jamun and the syrup it was in. I honestly could've eaten a lot more of this. After finishing, I went to the cash register and checked out with the employee who greeted me. The buffet and drink came to just over $15 - not bad for all you can eat! A few more customers came in while I was eating but it's hard to beat an all you can eat meal that is more or less catered to you alone. Some room for improvement: Kabob Corner advertises Pakistani, Indian, and Chinese food. They had chow mein in the buffet but it would've been cool to see some other Chinese options peppered in. Also, they advertise fountain sodas on their menu but I was under the impression that their machine was broken. Would've been nice to have free refills and a little more variety, but none of these were deal breakers, by any means. If you're looking for an affordable lunch buffet in West Sacramento, I highly recommend Kabob Corner! read more

You gotta wear a mask and use a glove to handle the buffet spoons, but whatever it's a real live buffet. A BUFFET.
