When we first met Alisha, some of my goals for my recently rescued pup was to be able to go in public settings (farmers markets, festivals, breweries, going for walks in the neighborhood, etc). Kallie now does ALL of the above without causing a ruckus (no reactivity/barking/jumping) towards other dogs or humans. We get so many compliments on her manners and people don't even know she is there unless you see her. She even does 5Ks with me now! Alisha works to help you and your pup truly communicate effectively and understand each other. (Photo tax of my adorable Kallie when we were introducing a kayak)

I haven't done any services, so I don't know how that is but I want to do pet grooming training there but they haven't got back with me in over a year about it. All the workers are very nice and welcoming and always have a positive attitude even when I bother them with questions and for them to open the cat room haha. One negative thing I don't like is they don't have water bowls for people with pets that come in and sometimes there's nothing to clean up your dogs accidents. I wish they would take better care of customers. Second thing for when you adopt a pet like a turtle they need to explain the right way to have that pet.. I don't affiliate with places that sell living beings that can't even give out the right information for those pets and sell them to whoever. Third negative is they sell the most idiot items that totally wastes your money such as a 60$ thing to put on your table so the cats won't jump on it... Guys go to YouTube and look up how to keep animals off the table... it's a peice of tinfoil lol stop wasting your money when you've got it right there in your home. Also with turtles they sell horrible products that are scientifically proven to potentially kill the animal. Just stop and don't waste your money.

They never mentioned anything about the damage to his nail when picking him up. Upon returning to get some type of refund, apology or credit, the staff/manager stated that "it happens" and pointed out the dog in her arms even had a nail trimmed too short as well. My dog (a shelter rescue) was already scared of nail trims due to apparent mistakes from previous owners. I had always cut them a bit lower myself to make sure he never bled and to attain some level of trust. Now all the work I had built towards trust was ruined by mistreatment from this team at PetSmart. Completely unacceptable. No remorse. No apologies. Manager just casually smiled while saying "The most we can do is a free nail grinding next time." Last thing I'd ever want them to do is go near my dogs nails again. The blood stained backseat will be a permanent reminder to never go back for grooming at PetSmart again.

She is extremely high energy and struggled with leash/dog reactivity, making walks stressful and kept us from taking her basically anywhere public. We did the 2 Week Board and Train program. After training, walks are calm, controlled and actually enjoyable now. We can take her to Downtown Woodstock and other public spots without anxiety -- it's been a TOTAL game changer for our family. Everyone at OTCK9 is professional, communicative and made sure we understood how to maintain everything at home. We love that they offer group classes for life on Saturdays to continue reinforcing the training! We also take crazy Luna to Doggy Daycare and she loves it! More recently, they've gone above and beyond to support me through a very complex and emotional situation with my dogs. They've made house visits, spent countless hours on the phone with me, and even accompanied me to the vet to help discuss medication options. Who does that? OTCK9 does. They are so much more than a training facility--you and your dogs become family. They are always there when you need them, and I truly mean always. Their passion for what they do shines through in the level of care and dedication they show. I cannot recommend them enough. They will love and care for your dog just as much as you do.

It was…read morenever super serious, and since we had some light aggression training in the past, we thought we could handle it on our own. We ended up getting a puppy at the end of 2023 and the aggression issues escalated, sometimes involving the new puppy. We called Franck for the aggression issues and ultimately decided to do full on Level 1 obedience training with him. From the get-go, Franck had complete control of our dogs. During our initial meeting/evaluation, they were complicit in his instructions. It was honestly super impressive - akin to folks you see on TV and how the TV show dramatizes their ability to immediately control an animal. This was the real deal. About a month or so into our training, we had another aggression issue, while it wasn't terribly serious, and we intervened quickly, Franck decided it was best for the dogs to go home with him for a few weeks. We were totally on board - we weren't sure if we had the skills yet to do it ourselves - but we knew he could do it. Within a week we saw a huge change in the dogs in videos he sent us, not only their obedience training, but there was absolutely no aggression with food or otherwise. Franck was also extremely available to answer any questions we had, whenever we had them. That was such a help that we could easily reach out to him whenever we needed assistance. In short, our dogs are impressively obedient now. By far, the best trained dogs I have ever had. Our beagle actually comes to us, when called, with no drama. This dog could not give a crap that we'd call her if she was out in the yard prior to her training. Now, she will come within seconds of us calling her. Both of our dogs are very well potty trained now. Our puppy is a golden retriever, so she has genes that help her with obedience built right in, and she is freaking awesome to work with now, even at just 7 months old. Franck's methods are well researched and backed by a lot of thought and just made sense to us. They're also not difficult - you just need the time and patience to learn and make it happen. Franck is no-nonsense, full of information, has been doing this for a long time, and he was such a pleasure to work with. He was fantastic with both our kids as well as our pups and we couldn't recommend him more!

When we followed Franck's methods she caught on much faster than we did! Franck started training her when she was all of 3 months and 3lbs! I'll admit that I was extremely skeptical at first. I was afraid that using the prong and e-collar would cause aggression, fear, or alter her personality in some way. Let me tell you...it didn't in the slightest! I've only seen her become more trusting and loving. She's basically a Velcro dog at this point. Lol! Getting her properly trained at such a young age was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I can't tell you how many times I've been complimented on how well behaved she is...ESPECIALLY for a toy size breed. I can take her anywhere because she's so well behaved and sweet. She's outgoing and friendly to everyone she meets. She's such a well adjusted pup! More than anything we've gained confidence as dog owners and it's great to know that Rain has a trainer for life should we ever need him. It was a pretty big investment but on the other side of things I consider it money well spent!

Because we are all looking for different things I'm simply sharing a pro's and cons list from our (my and Little Leo) perspective. Pros, for us - Super kind people! Just down right nice people! - Nurturing - We've known our trainers for a full year and we really feel like part of the family! They are truly the best! Cons, for us - Calendar - I didn't ask for a holiday calendar and was surprised to learn group was often cancelled for holidays that aren't observed federally, in schools, etc. For example Sunday, 10/28 was cancelled because Halloween was Tuesday, 10/31. - Timeliness - I learned an unwritten rule is to wait until all instructors are present and a majority of that class sign up. Most of the time this is 15 to 20 minutes past start time. As a result, you're either waiting up to 20 minutes or late if others are on time. - Weather - I didn't ask what the inclement weather policy is. I suggested having make up days or even an inclement weather plan like meeting in a mixed use facility or school which come at no cost. Too bad there is lots of rain in the summer months that cause cancellations. - Communication - We understand things happen. We just expect more direct, proactive communication. For example, if trainers are running late to group, a text to all sharing that would be most appreciated by many. My recommendation would be to ask the right questions, be really clear, and get things in writing. For example, the group would take trips to the airport and work with the airline to get our pups in training through security and to the gate. I later learned is not a service available since COVID. I really wise I'd have known that they were just sharing components of the program in 2019. For us, each of the cons, commensurate with the price, won't allow me to recommend for others and we won't use them again for obedience training or me next service animal. I am certain this style works for many, and I'm sure it would exceed the expectations of some. They really are a wonderful group of people! Thank you so much Natasha, Reina, & Sable! You'll forever be in our hearts! Can't wait to see you at group next Sunday!

This will empower you as the owner to be an integral part of the process for sustained dog obedience training in Atlanta. Our approach is based on positive reinforcement. You may have heard it called "Classical Conditioning" or the "Pavlovian" model. Research has shown positive reinforcement to be more effective with longer lasting results than other training methods. We help you and your dog achieve sustained, deep-rooted obedience. We use positive dog training in Atlanta based on the classical conditioning theory, paired with an electronic collar-- this is not a shock collar. Unlike a shock collar, an electronic collar does not hurt or harm the dog and is used to obtain a dog's attention. We believe in using ongoing praise to encourage good behavior. The difference becomes clear when comparing a dog that is trained using treats to bribe vs a dog who truly desires to please from the inside out. Dog Training Elite is veteran owned and operated. We specialize in obedience, service, and therapy dog training. We are partnered with the Malinois Foundation that provides service dogs to veterans to aid with PTSD and other service needs. The clerk, Eric, rambled on and on about their WiFi being down so he needed to do the credit card transaction on his phone. When he asked me to sign on his phone screen, I saw that the screen itself was filthy dirty. He didn't offer any sort of writing item like a pen. He told me to use my finger to sign. I told him that I didn't want to touch his screen. When the transaction was finished, I asked him how I would tip the groomer. He said he'd have to do the credit card over again. I told him that was fine since I didn't have any cash and I thought it was important to tip the groomer. As I handed my card to him a second time, he remarked about how he and I had both touched the same credit card even though I hadn't wanted to touch his phone screen. He actually thought it was a clever zinger to show me how up on front of the other two employees. When I asked him about this, he got upset quickly. I asked a nearby employee if he was the owner. She replied very animatedly that he was her dad. He refused to finish the transaction to give a tip for the groomer. I have no idea if she got a tip from him or not. I do not think that anyone with such reckless regard for what should have been a basic and smooth customer interaction should be trusted with anyone's pets. The pets cannot speak up for themselves if they are the subject of any abuse. Based on Eric's undignified treatment of a customer settling a $110 grooming bill, it concerns me how the animals might be handled. Lisa Marie's grooming of my dogs has always been impeccable. I hope she is valued by the management and that she can find a place that treats customers nicer.

All of that was to preface the fact that Save Me From the Dog House did an excellent job with her oatmeal bath and blow-dry-- no judgements, annoyed behavior, or pitying stares, and no terrified pug returned to me afterward. The staff there was very friendly and inviting, especially Hercules, the Great Dane/receptionist. I think we've found our monthly stop for Pixie's bathing needs.
