It meant so much knowing Butters was not only being well taken care of, but genuinely loved and treated like her own. Susie is very loving and responsible. My dogs adore her! We typically book her for live-in stays, but on occasion we also use her for drop in care. I always receive updates with photos and my dogs always appear relaxed and happy. It makes such a difference having the same person care for my pets, and gives me so much peace of mind. Lisa, the owner, is in tune with all her caregivers. Recently, our flight kept getting delayed and we ended up having to ask Susie to stay longer than anticipated. Once we landed, I let Susie know she could leave as we would be home soon. Before we got home I received an email from Lisa asking me to let her know we made it home so as our dogs were not left without care in the event something delayed us further. We had used other sitters before we found Pick of the Litter, and nothing compares to the care and communication we receive from them. I highly recommend!

Scheduling was super easy (via email, with prompt responses) and I sent over vet records ahead of the appt. We arrived at 11am and got him checked in, they called when they were ready to start and we talked about doing just a "standard" doodle cut, keeping him cool for summer. We picked him up around 4pm and he was SO handsome! The matted fur in his ears was good, we could see his eyes, he smelled delicious and he looked like a new dog! We have seen several veterinarians there and really like them all. Recently, our 13 year-old dog Otis was euthanized by Dr. Sean Penn. We really appreciated his honesty. He did not try to talk us into doing a medical procedure for Otis. He gave us the option to do so and informed us that Otis may live only 2 or 3 months. Dr Penn was personable and shown empathy during the euthanasia procedure. There is a special room where the procedure is done. Two very friendly technicians were so gentle with Otis. The veterinarians and staff work really hard to accommodate their clients. It's obvious how they have to juggle with so many variables in running a veterinary hospital. They are personable, professional, and efficient.

It takes me about 30 minutes to drive to Petite Pup's current location, and while that isn't terrible, going there and back twice a day equals 2 hours of driving for me. Our doodle, Wrigley, LOVES dogtopia. He goes twice a week and plays in the toy box even though he's…read more45 pounds, he's a big scaredy-cat of the big dogs. I love being able to check in on him with the webcams and see how he plays with the other dogs. In the beginning, Wrigley was a little Overwhelmed with all the play but now thoroughly enjoys going. He even knows the word "dogtopia" and gets so excited when he hears it! The people are very kind and make sure Wrigley is well taken care and has a blast each time. He comes home, eats dinner and sleeps until the next day. He's even relaxed the next day when he's not at dogtopia. They really care about the animals. To give you an idea, the first day we dropped him off he was in the play pen with dogs his same size. They saw he was anxious (since he's used to playing with small dogs) and called me right away and told me he was going to go in the toy box. He was much more comfortable there. It just goes to show they are paying attention to each dog and how they are feeling. They gained my trust big time! We are excited to try boarding services this thanksgiving. Between the two of us we have spent many thousands of dollars at Dogtopia. Unfortunately the level of expertise and customer service at this facility have deteriorated significantly and we will not be back. This afternoon at 5 pm I received a call from Dogtopia notifying me that my standard poodle Dalton had been bitten at their facility this morning. Apparently the counselors that were aware of the bite did not notify management so no one called me when the event occurred. Had they called I would immediately have picked him up and taken him to his regular vet. Since they didn't I have now been sitting at an emergency vet facility for over two hours waiting for him to be seen. Not to mention the fact that he spent an entire day in an unsanitary environment with an open puncture wound. When I inquired whether Dogtopia would reimburse me for the vet bill the answer was I'd need to call their customer service department at corporate and it's handled on a 'case basis'. Unbelievable. Here's the kicker. Since I've been here at the vet I received notice that Dogtopia put through a charge for an entire day of daycare today! When I called to discuss this the person who answered the phone didn't seem to know anything about what had happened. Once upon a time everyone at Dogtopia would have known a dog had been bitten and would have done everything possible to make it right. No calling corporate and no hassle. Now they don't even tell one another about it and they don't have authority locally to waive a daycare charge. It really saddens me to write this review, but this is not the business it once was and I can't recommend it. Footnote: this review is regarding Dogtopia Scottsdale Raintree. This facility is used to train staff for many Dogtopia franchises.
