I took a class last winter, hopefully this teacher is no longer there. She was young. I was not…read moreimpressed because she wasn't focused on her students. I should have asked for my money back. She often rushed through things. She didn't have an awareness of how to teach human adults, by saying something , show something, say it again in a different way, show it again slowly. She said it once, showed it quickly then expected us to do it. She would show something, then have us go do it while she talked with her friends she brought in. She didn't pay attention to her students. She only offered help when I was struggling if I asked for her help, she didn't notice when people were struggling. She was stern and not approachable. She said she had lots of experience training. Perhaps that was true but she needs to work on people skills to be a group dog trainer. This intro class was designed to rush us through a program of a bunch of different things every time so that maybe we felt we learned a lot and got our moneys worth, rather than make sure we had important things down really well. The instructor said that after we finished the class we could come in for open play. I called and left a message about this twice but no one called me back. The place was freezing cold in the winter and smelly. I've heard other people like this place, but I won't go back. I also read the review about a woman abusing a dog here and people being rude. Big fat NO.

I was fortunate to watch a class and was super impressed. It is under new ownership - Brad and Kathy are really helpful and friendly. The space is super clean and inviting. They offer a huge range of classes from beginner to competitive in many disciplines - Very encouraging of all levels and creates an awesome environment to learn and grow. I am looking forward to coming back there for more classes.

I will never take my pet here. I entered my information on their web portal for a future visit. I…read morewant to preface that I did request a busy time in which many folks are on vacation. I was told my reservation was pending and I needed a screening to take place. No problem! My dog is an amazing guy I knew he'd pass. The owner also asked me to please enter my credit card info. So I took time off work to take him there. He passed no issue. I asked the woman at the screening if it meant my dog was accepted and she said the reservation should go through and to be in touch. I wait a day after not hearing and go on their web portal to see my reservation was cancelled. At this point 5+ days have passed since I began the process because nobody there answers a phone and you can only contact them via their portal and wait for a response. After finally hearing from them the owner proceeds to tell me my dog will be on a waitlist. There never was any room for him to begin. She could've easily told me that BEFORE the screening, BEFORE she takes my credit card. She has the audacity to tell me it's a good lesson for me (which had me so angry I started to get emotional because I've lost five days of searching for a place for my beloved pet!). I tell her she could've been honest and she said "I get hundreds of calls per day." It's as easy as knowing your availability and looking at my dates. The end of the conversation told me everything I needed to hear to understand her real motivation--she said "Well the next time you go on vacation and you plan better you're all set up here to bring him here." She only ever cared about future $ and manipulatively making it "easy" the next time I need a place. Gross way to operate. She has no idea of my situation. She has no idea the place my pet was scheduled far in advance had to close for a time that happens to fall when my dog was scheduled because of a COVID sickness. I don't expect her to accommodate my dog when she has no room. I do expect honesty and professionalism which seems greatly lacking. I'd not trust her with my best friend and beloved dog.

It's disappointing that after an extended period of taking my two dogs there, that they can't…read moreoverlook a misunderstanding I had about their passes and reservations. I was charged $60 for a no show. However, I was informed that I had no more visits on my pass. But since I had not cancelled my future reservations, they were happy to charge me. In the past I had also overlooked a few things. One if which is when they used to take calls, I asked if I could stop by to feed my dogs. (I thought they were fed by my partner). I was told that it was not possible because all doors are locked after 9 am! Strange that I was refused access to my fur babies. As a result, I've never seen what it's like once they are dropped off. You receive a photo or two of them and a report card. No webcam. The portal to make reservations and buy passes is also confusing and cumbersome. They also don't take calls now and all communication is via email to a generic email. Sometimes it's just good to be able to talk to someone. They will also not hesitate to use a bark collar on your fur baby if they think it's necessary. If you're looking for a warm and fuzzy customer facing experience, this isn't it. There isn't a reception. You pass your dog to someone at the gate. They hand over you dog through the gate when you pickup. Location is off an extremely busy road. When you leave the facility, you'd better step on the gas as the traffic coming down the hill is usually is at least 70 miles an hour. I hope this helps others make an informed decision about this establishment.

I'm so in love with our Bark Busters training. Such a fresh and holistic approach to help us train…read morethe pups we love so much. I'm what some would call a timid dog owner. My dogs think they need to be in charge and that's not good for any of us. I'm so thankful Sara helped me find my voice with Baki. He is so happy with the consistency and prompts we give him. I never thought I'd be one of those dog owners that has my pup under control when people come over, we go on walks, or at dog parks. But here I am using the tools we got from Sara living my best life as a dog owner. I love that she involved our whole family. Baki is actually my son's dog but I spend quit a bit of time with him. We have had several dogs over the years and we've spent a lot of money training them, and I never had the confidence I have now with Baki. I wish we had used Bark Busters with all of our pups. Having good training just helps life run easier especially if you're busy. I'm so excited to keep watching Baki grow.

I wish I could give this business, especially Holly a million stars!…read more We got our dog Poppy for free almost 2 years ago. We were her 3rd owner in her 3 years of life. It was also explained to us that she has been physically abused and dealt with abandonment issues. She was so anxious and fearful of us she actually escaped from us and was MIA for a solid 48 hours. Aside from being a flight risk, Poppy had a lot of other issues like anxiety pooping everywhere and being extremely fearful around new people, we're social and like to take our dogs everywhere with us but it's no fun when we worry for her safety and feel like she's not enjoying the experience. She improved slightly with time and made small improvements, but after over a year we knew we needed more help. Enter Holly of Bark Busters Denver North. I was very skeptical of paying such a high price, but knowing that it's for my dogs lifetime and could be life changing for her made us take the jump. I was unable to be present for the first visit, but when I arrived home from work I could immediately see a difference in Poppy. My husband was so excited to tell me everything he learned and all of the new skills we could practice!!! Over the next several weeks we continued to practice at home with the techniques taught to us by Holly. Our initial goal was to do a follow up 3 weeks after but due to personal conflicts it ended up being much longer. Holly was very understanding and accommodating. Her responses to our emails were prompt and professional. We just finished our second session with her, and the second she came through the door she noticed the difference in Poppys confidence. We discussed our new training goals and other things that we wanted to continue working on. Holly surprised us with a new leash and collar to practice walking and recall with. Poppy immediately took to the training and seemed confident throughout the session which was very different than how she behaved the first time around. Our next stop will be a brewery where we will practice socializing Poppy in the hopes we can eventually start bringing her to places with us and she can be confident. Thank you so much to Holly and BarkBusters Denver North!!!!
