On the Ruth Glacier with my son!

Probably the most awe inspiring thing I've ever done in my life! Our pilot, Chad, was an expert and it was a smoother take-off and landing than commercial flights. The staff inside worked hard to get us the most optimal time to go and worked with us. These pics and this video will tell it all. It is WORTH IT. Money well spent! This is LIFE!

We flew K2 on the glacier experience. The weather tried not to cooperate it our pilot was up to the task! Many planes took off but only four were able to land on our particular glacier. Wow! What an experience. I would highly recommend this for anyone who may want to experience if the coolest things one could possibly do. I've done a lot of things and this was at the top of my all-time best things I've done.

We had the most amazing day with K2 Aviation. We planned a 1 week round trip road trip from Anchorage and this flight seeing tour was on my must do list. We were a group of 6 but only 2 of us took the flight. It was gorgeous day, Dorothy (our pilot) was fabulous and engaging. I chose the flight with the glacier landing. The views were phenominal and although my husband was reluctant because of the cost, it was by far his favorite adventure in our 3 weeks in Alaska. I highly recommend you check them out if you are going to be in the area, or book your trip around a stop in Talkeetna. It's a cool little town with a lot to do. While we were in the air others in our party rented ebiked and toured the town.

Make sure and reserve your trip to K2 if you're traveling to Alaska. My husband and I looked up a few places and got the best rating and pricing from what we could tell; best of both worlds! We flew with a glacier landing and could not have been happier. I was so nervous to fly but our pilot made us feel the most at ease. He even got some of the best pictures of my husband and I! The views, knowledge about the area and pilot experience by far exceeded our expectations for a smooth flight. We highly recommend them for their professionalism and friendly combination because we are dealing with the FAA after all.

Unbelievable experience! The staff has this all figured out for efficiency, fun, safety and all around incredible experience. Ian was our pilot and he was not only an exceptional aviator, but a great tour guide as well. I highly recommend this excursion while visiting Talkeetna! We were not able to land on the glacier due to weather but it was still well worth it!

Our trip was absolutely amazing! We were scheduled for Denali Experience with Glacier Landing. Due to the unpredictable weather we were unable to land on the glacier however we opted for the sightseeing experience anyway. I am so thankful we did. The experience was phenomenal. Our pilot was informative. The flight was smooth including the takeoff and landing. This is a once in a lifetime experience and highly recommended.

Chad was an incredible pilot and our experience was one of the top experiences of what I've done so far. Plane was immaculate and flight views were incredible which is partially luck and also just the skill and experience of the flight. We got incredible views of all three mountains and a minimally bumpy flight

If you're not climbing Denali, this is the next best option!!! We had a rental car and drove out to the airport. It's located right outside downtown Talkeetna so be sure to save some time to stop in town. At first I was a bit frightened of the tiny little aircraft, but the pilot/guide was amazing. Points out all of the safety features and quickly gets you off the ground. You've got about 1 hour and 15 mins up in the air to see the surrounding area. Our guide pointed out all the rivers, mountains, glaciers, etc. You get up close and personal with Denali and can even make out where the trails to climb would be. We took flight in March so there were no climbers or any other planes in the area. Truly majestic to be out above the mountains with nobody around. Think it was just $220 or so for the flight. Was great value and I highly recommend the adventure.

Overall an amazing experience that was enhanced with great customer service! We booked the Grand Denali flight with a Glacier Landing, but through a miscommunication somewhere the pilot took us on a shorter route with the glacier landing. Upon landing I went into the office to see about a refund for the difference in price, but they approached us first having realized the mistake and offered us a refund for the difference or better yet to hop back on the plane and they would fly us on the Grand Denali tour without the landing this time, and they even offered the 2nd trip to the couple that only paid for the shorter trip, I was impressed, so back on the plane to complete our trip around Denali! Our pilot Riley was fantastic and fun to talk with!

This was one of the coolest experiences of my life. My family and I did this while in Talkeetna and haven't stopped talking about it. Joe, our pilot, was a really great guy and made us all feel very comfortable about flying in a small plane. We were so fortunate to have a clear day and got up real close to Denali. I highly recommend this place for flightseeing.

    Glacier Landing

In a word, WOW! I highly recommend K2 Aviation for a glacier flight seeing tour. Be sure to book a glacier landing, very much worth the extra. Everyone was super friendly, they have the process perfected from making reservations over the phone, to check in, to safety briefing, to the flight. I had Jack as my pilot and he was a lot of fun. You can tell he loves his job and takes pride in doing it well. My landings (both the glacier and the runway) were smoother than most big jet landings. I'm so glad I had the nudge to go on this adventure because it was worth every single penny!! I recommend everyone do this, whether you live in Alaska or are visiting.

What can you say about an airplane flight around Denali? It was actually better than we expected. And, I had pretty high expectations. Absolutely spectacular views of Denali and the surrounding mountains and glaciers. The pilot did a good job pointing out landmarks and things like the climbers base camp. The weather cooperated so we had minimal bumps in the air, which was a good thing since the airplane seats lack padding and support. Small price to pay for such a great experience. Pricey, but well worth it.

We had a great experience flying with K2. Dorothy was our pilot and she did a great job explaining all we saw on our trip. She was very personalble and professional. It was a family vaction so 7 of us flew with her. Beautiful sights and a great flight. We aged in range from 10 to 74. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see Alaska from in, through and above the clouds. We saw part of Denali the day we flew. The company K2 has quite a few planes and is well organized. Safety is their main concern and you will feel very comfortable in their confident hands.

I booked about a week out for the 9:15 am guided kayak trip, which is listed at 2-3 hours on the lake. It was easy to book and a convenient stop on my drive, leaving Denali and heading south for the rest of my trip. The lake is about an hour and 20 minutes south of the national park but has its own charm in Denali state park. Southside River Guides had a tent and set up near the boat launch area and provided everything we needed for your paddle, including waterproof shoes and pants. It was cold on the lake, so they even offered extra jackets if you needed one. Fortunately it didn't rain but you did have to step in the lake to get in the kayak, making their gear come in extra handy. The lake was quiet and peaceful -a nice change from the crowds at the national park. We got to see lots of water birds and salmon! Since it was so cloudy, no Denali views, but on a clear day you might get lucky. Brian was our guide and it was interesting to hear him talk about the animal and plant life around the lake and his experiences in Alaska. The staff was very caring and professional. Highly recommend them for a low key, nature oriented adventure.
