(Unfortunately it took 10 yrs for me to me meet them; during that time I begged numerous contractors to take the project or at least give me a quote. Jim and Schumack are truly a rare breed. It was a joy to watch them love a challenge for about 8 wks during last Aug-Nov. The whole team was exceptional; really committed to fixing my complicated mess. Really smart and good natured about my unusual ideas and very particular style-after all, I had ten years to plan and learn about what i (and then we) was/were taking on. No mansplaining from these guys!! It truly felt like they were my partners. They "owned" (in the best possible way) the project, right along with me. i never felt like what was a huge project for me was just a minor project for them (though it certainly was). Three excavators (1 huge, 1 medium, 1 "small?") from 7-3:30 everyday removing 480 tons of material (so my property is all over CT now)-it was an insanely noisy experience. But I miss them all. You will love them, too.

His team excels at communication, and they all kept us in the loop every step of the way. There were also some issues with our cabinets we would have never noticed if it wasn't for their exemplary attention to detail. They were also extremely kind to my very skittish dogs! Highly recommend .

Alek went out to find the exact right color paint and stain. I love the finished product and cannot wait to move it into my new home. Aleck's price was reasonable. Alan Dinsmore Contracting - Craftsmanship and Professionalism…read more Alan and his crew did a fantastic job on my kitchen. Every time I mentioned something I wanted, the response was "no problem." It was especially helpful to find a contractor who could handle every phase of the project: cabinet refacing, flooring, plumbing, electrical upgrades and tiling. These guys were professional, neat, and easy to work with. The price tag was also reasonable, so I was able to keep to my budget. Kitchen remakes can be a long drawn out process, so be sure to pick a contractor you can trust, and who is accommodating when things don't go as expected. Alan's experience and knowledge helped when it came to making remodeling suggestions, and he followed up on every question or concern with the professionalism of a master craftsman.
