Wow!! so, unless you are looking for something in the off season of what they consider their money making time of year, don't bother. They were rude. On another note, I was at the place for a summer BBQ. The people that run the facility have a house on the property. Not only did they come over to the party and help themselves to the food and beverages...one of them got sloppy drunk...they sat in their backyard watching the party and the invited guests. The land is uniquely private. The entrance so obscure that you will drive by and miss it except for a Welcome sign on wedding days. This is a good thing to keep your event private and to maximize the space. Once you enter from the street the wedding names will be on a sign with the cottage in the background. You will head down a one car driveway to the back and park in a gravel parking lot. The back lawn is a front to a creek and lots of trees. Wedding ceremonies often take place here. When you are on the grounds you cannot see the surrounding farm, the vegetable market or anything else in most places. Moving toward the cottage is the pot o potty for guests & staff (construction style!!!) , the parking lot and then large tent. Walk through another area of grass. Next is another smaller tent outside the cottage and a couple of grass lawns. Again, tents may vary due to time of year etc. They usual house the DJ and dance floor for your event or it could house the tables and chairs and dance floor. The trees and shrubbery, again, are so pretty. The little pond is also good looking. Weddings are so different depending especially on your wedding coordinator and also the vendors you hire. Pay special attention to where the sun is depending on your time of day & time of year and plan the set up of chairs, tables, eating areas not to mention the flowers accordingly.The ceremony and eating is often set up in the sun so be aware depending on the time of year. Make sure to remember to think of your guests and warn them of the need to wear flat shoes or chunk heels or wedges to traverse the grounds parking lot and porta potty. Let them know if you will let them in the cottage to use the restroom or to get out of the sun or if it is off limits. Again, the wedding coordinator may make this decision but be aware it alters the guest experience. Their website shows a plethora of photos of the grounds so check it out for an idea of offerings and other events. But they don't do it justice. It is more beautiful in person. The look of the event and pictures are dependent on what you choose catering wise, coordinator wise, clothing wise and whom your vendor is for supplies. It can be as informal or formal as you wish. The sky is the limit. The Cottage at Riverbend gets 5 stars for just the gorgeous, serene, enchanting outdoor space that it is to hold your wedding or event. There are plenty of areas for guests and wedding party to roam and lots of greenery for pictures to be taken with. Lots of memories to be made here

I did notice a baby who was about 1 playing with a squishy rocking horse. He was really enjoying himself. The floors are also padded so it creates a nice cushion for your kiddos. I would bring my kid here to play while I get some chill time and be able to enjoy a drink. You can't completely take your eyes off of them. The walls for the enclosure is kinda high and you can't see what they are doing if you're sitting at one of the tables. My drink finally got finished. Their small drinks are 16 oz. I was worried that my drink would be watered down cause of the extra 4 oz. Some joints fill the 4 extra oz with water which defeats the whole purpose of getting an americano. But surprisingly it wasn't. The espresso was very noticeable. The sugar free vanilla and cream was all balanced in my drink. I really enjoyed it! I don't have kids in this age group to really use this joint for what is used for but the coffee was good! And they serve food and baked goodies here. Our youngest turned 5 and we wanted to throw him an extra special birthday party with friends. We've done private room bowling parties before and they're so great for enjoying time with other families and kids. You have a sectioned off private area so kids can run around and play and adults can relax and chat knowing the little ones can't escape easily. This was a 10/10 party! We paid for: 20 kids to bowl for 3 hours in the Z Lounge, endless soft drinks for 2 hours, 5 large 1 topping pizzas for the 20 kids and then adults had leftovers. We let the adults know it was a party for kids only to bowl and we'd have drinks and pizza for the kids and the adults were welcome to order food and drinks with a waiter that came to and from the room often. We also kept the $200 in arcade money and 20 ride/attraction passes for our kids instead of sharing them with the kids that came to the party. Our kids had an amazing time using those at a later date. It was totally worth it for everyone to have an amazing time and not have to host a party in our home. You were given a certain amount of time and when it was up, you had to go ask for more time. There was a chance that you would have to go on a waiting list. They were busier than in New Years Eve. The bowling sitting area and floor was dirty from food making it slippery and I actually fell on my first ball. We ordered fries and a pretzel. Both were good except we didn't receive the fry sauce I ordered and we were not given any napkins or ketchup. I went and asked for both. I took the fry sauce as a loss. Games have become way over priced at $1.50 each. Plan to spend money and go in a day where there is a deal to make it worth your while.
