I NEVER post reviews, especially negative ones, but my experience here was abhorrent. This place had really good reviews on google and i thought i would give it a try as opposed to the salon i normally go to. I called ahead and made an appointment. When i got to the salon another customer was demanding her nails be redone as they seriously messed them up (this should have been my first red flag) but I brushed it off, because hey, they have 4.8 stars. I waited 30 mins past my appt time (no big deal to me i had no where else to be) when seated it was very clear the guy doing my nails wanted to clock out and go home (again, no big deal I've worked my fair share of customer based jobs amd im a very understanding person). However, he was very aggressive and rushed while doing my nails. The acrylics that were put on are uneven, and he cut me and i started bleeding while he was cutting my cuticles with no apology at all. He was also contorting my hands in next to humanly impossible ways where at a couple points i thought my thumb was going to pop out of the socket, then he kept getting frustrated with me for not "relaxing my hand" believe me, I was trying to! I had wanted colorful french tips, and they turned out terribly. My nail tech didnt use a base coat of any sort so you can see the glue and tip o some of my nails and they look uneven and messy. They're okay from far away if you squint but i am just so disappointed. I unfortunately am not one to complain and like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but i will not be returning and will definitely not be recommending K nails to anyone, in fact i'll be steering them away! Worst manicure I have ever gotten in my life. Not only was the staff not helpful and wouldn't listen, but they did a terrible job! First, I walked in ten minutes early to pick my color. I wanted to do a variety of gold and blush, so I knew it might take me a little bit. They had me take the dip off right away, so I brought the colors over with me. I told one of the girls working there what I wanted with pictures and I showed her a few colors I was looking at. She took them away and brought back a few colors, asking me to look at the powder to see if I liked it. I said it's hard to tell, could I just please see the samples again (no one else in the salon needed to look at colors). She came back with bright and fluorescent pink. I asked again just to see the samples. Finally, after asking two other people, they brought the samples and acting as if I was being rude. While the man working in my nails tried to get the dip off it seemed he'd never done it before. Every time he would unwrap a nail he'd sigh and act disgruntled. He finally used the buffer to get the dip off- very aggressively I might add. One color looked very different so I asked for a final coat of one of the lighter colors to mute it. I had to ask at least three people as no one understood me. Finally, the manicurist did the buffer again at the end, cutting me almost every time! He'd apologize and then do it again!! When he was done he didn't even look at my cuticles which needed to be cut but I didn't dare ask! Another woman put some oil on them before I left which stung because of all the cuts. Now that I'm home I can see the texture of my nails is terrible, I needed to fix the filing in a few, there's polish on my fingers and crusted cuticles cuticles, and the thickness of the nails are inconsistent. I want to clip my cuticles but honestly I'll wait a few days since they are so sore from the buffer. Worst manicure in the history of manicures. I almost cried t Oh- and they have a sign asking for people to wear masks and many of their staff wear it under their nose or chin. I will never return and will tell any friend looking in the Quincy area to beware. FUN BONUS: when I went to be last night, I noticed that one color I selected was glow in the dark but wasn't labeled as such.... So now I ace two glow in the dark middle fingers before! read more
