For the particular brand of tequila I was in for, however, the store only carried the Blanco (silver) one so no Reposado and/or Anejo. I, however, was able to walk away with its tequila-based coffee liqueur (Cantera Negra Cafe) which I had always wanted to try. The employees (pretty much all of them) were very professional and courteous for my shopping needs. The store is a good size. Very organized where things aren't cramped into the space. Very clean indeed. On Thursday and Saturday, they do tastings (4-7pm on Thursdays and 3-6pm on Saturdays); the designated tasting area is on the north end of the shop. You can park in the Whole Foods garage (there is a door to it inside the shop; this is convenient especially when the weather is bad with rain or show.) I don't come to this part of town very often but it's nice to know that a good liquor store with high-end feel exists right in the heart of Belmar shopping area.

They hang out outside asking for money and drinking their booze on the sidewalk. Today went I went in, there was a homeless guy just outside the door asking for money. He asked for a drink from my vodka bottle and that was annoying and a little scary. The woman I bought the bottle from was extremely nice and professional. I just hate having to run the gamut of bums to get into and out of the store.

It's a bit drive for me now to go to his new location and yet I cannot help supporting my favorite wine shop because I get, not only the greatest customer service but also the rare/quality selection of wines that no other wine stores have. They have helped me several times with sugvesand questions. I am nearly always buying wine for myself in there, but they have helped me pick out whiskey (which I know nothing about) for my man. I went in there the day before Easter and bought two bottles of wine, and the owner was so sweet and gave me a free wine glass as a "Happy Easter" gift (and probably also as a frequent shopper ha ha).
