I was in the middle of a two-year divorce proceeding when I realized my previous attorney was not timely and did not seem to be representing me in the best way. I knew I needed to make a change, and a close friend recommended Melanie. From the very start, I received first-class, concierge-level service. The consistent communication and regular updates reassured me that I had chosen the right person to represent me. There was nothing but invoices for reading questions dropped in a portal that were either not answered or half heartedly answered. When I asked questions to attorney Fenwick, I was often belittled and basically told to stay in my lane and let her do her job. Long story short, after all of the preparation for court....over a year for a case that I was told was pretty open and shut, I was told the day before that I should settle. I don't believe that the attorney prepared for the case and advised me to take a fraction of what I was owed. I did what she said because, with no time to pivot, I felt I had no choice. It was the worst example of professionalism. I paid to be demeaned and treated like my case didn't matter. In the end, I lost more than money. It's very sad and after several months, I feel the need to warn others.
