Great hut for the winter! Approach is really short (though not necessarily straight forward) and…read morethe views are really great (or so I'm told). You could sleep a lot of people in here, although we had 3 and a dog. The main window faces Denali and you can take the quintessential "Denali framed by window" shot for your adoring Instagram followers. The day I was there, "The High One" was socked in with clouds, so I missed the opportunity. I did, however, witness a pretty decent Northern Lights show while warming at a fire atop frozen Byers Lake! I've heard this place can be pretty buggy in the summer, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. Besides, shouldn't you be camping?!

This has to be one of the nicest campgrounds iv ever been to. So much space between sites and…read morepretty quite. The Lake is huge, they offer RV dumping and water. They offer boat rental and cabin's as well. This place is dog friendly The only negative is that their sites to have have water and power on the site it self. But the greatness totally outweighs that issue. I had a really good sleep from the main road. I found this site by chance. When I'm driving and get tired I have been pulling into any place or random spots. In Alaska you are allowed to came anywhere at anytime. Really great state. Very cozy and quite. The local ranger on staff was super nice guy. He showed me how to drain the tanks and guided me around the area. Even suggest some places to stop and take photos of. Yes, camp here if your looking for campgrounds to review.
