At the time I booked there were no king beds available. It's period appropriate, so maybe there aren't any here. We had a nice suite. 2 rooms and a bathroom. Great shower. Lovely room. The common areas are incredible. Just oozing with charm and character. If you're a FLW fan, this is Mecca. So much Prairie Style architecture in this town. So lovely. The staff is fantastic here. We saw the sign outside for tours and were lucky enough to get on their 1pm Sunday tour - $15/ person. There were just four of us on the tour. Our tour guide, Curt, did an excellent job giving us the history of the building, the fantastic effort to save it and turn it into a hotel, and other details of this architectural masterpiece. Kudos to the dedicated folks in Mason City who saved this gem from the wrecking ball. A must see for FLW fans.

They did have a fairly decent breakfast spread each morning with some variation of eggs, sausage, potatoes, as well as cereals, bread, and a fridge that had yogurt, string cheese, orange juice, and even applesauce. They also had some snack bars and whole fruit available. It's not a fancy hotel but it was just fine for our two nights stay, if you only get one choice of a restaurant to eat in town, our favorite was the Chinese place downtown. The Park Inn Hotel was part of a structure designed as a law office and a bank. The project was started in 1909 and opened in 1910. Wright on the Park offices are kitty-corner from the hotel, across the plaza and next to the bandshell. While it is technically a part of the hotel as the management office, it isn't really a part of the hotel. The corporation was formed in 2005 to save the structure that had fallen on hard times. After a $20 million renovation, the Park Inn is now a 27 room boutique hotel. Wright on the Park also functions as a most interesting gift shop along with the executive offices. In the gift shop, you will find a myriad of Frank Lloyd Wright themed merchandise, clothing, FLW designs on socks, jewelry, glassware and unique Frank Lloyd Wright books and ephemera. Be sure to pick up souvenirs of your visit to the Park Inn Hotel. While you're there, ask about a tour of the hotel. There's a nominal charge for the tour, plan on a couple of hours.
