Would love to give 0 stars! I'm 7 1/2 months pregnant. It took them over 2.5 hrs to pick me up. I called 5 times and my insurance called 3times. Each time we were told 10-15mins out. Mind you, with the heat index it's 107°f right now. The last time I called, I spoke to the owner who gave me one hell of an attitude, bc I was irritated for having to wait so long. He told me the driver was just sent my info 14mins before I last called. When I originally called them at 11:49am. It's now 2:20pm, and I just got home. DO NOT USE THIS "SERVICE!!!!" This company is dangerous. They offer wheelchair transportation and the drivers do not know how to secure patients. This caused an injury to a family member. The vehicles are incredibly dirty, littered with garbage. This particular van had NO AC while transporting this patient from one hospital to another. The driver was so tired he was falling asleep and the nurse who rode along refused to ride back in it. read more

Extremely rude, dispatcher actually hung up on me when I asked him to please relay a message to the manager. I did not yell, swear or raise my voice to him. Just politely asked him why they haven't picked my Mother up at the hospital. Had already heard from hospital staff how badly this company operates. read more

I unfortunately cannot recommend what it is apparently the only taxi service in the area. The Black Hawk Hotel recommended them to me, and suggested that I call the day before to make a reservation to be picked up at the airport on a Tuesday night. I did make a reservation, but when I landed there was no cab waiting. I was soon the only person left at the airport. I called, and to the credit of the person who answered the phone, she arrived in 10 minutes, apologized for the dispatcher's error and gave me a $5 discount. (It was a bit awkward putting my two pieces of luggage in her back seat, as she explained that her trunk was full.) When I called to make a reservation to return to the airport, they had no explanation for what happened. I gave the address of where I was to be picked up (California St.) They called back several minutes later to say they couldn't find "Colorado Street" on the map. At that point I decided to make other arrangements to get to the airport, as I really did not want to be stranded and potentially miss my 5:30 a.m. flight. read more

My girlfriend used the company for a ride to her doc appointment through her insurance. 1st we were picked up to ride with 7 other ppl in a mini van to ride a hour and a half then after had to wait over 3 hours for a pick up. this is the worst taxi service I've ever used. I have had to go to doctor appointments and they've had to be changed over and over again because they don't even get to the house until after the appointment is already over with. read more

Dolly's Taxi is the very finest medical transport and 'party bus' service in Eastern Iowa. I have had the displeasure of riding with services that took a flooded out route, causing me to be at appointments late. Every employee I have ridden with has been an A-1 professional and I cannot imagine why this wonderful service has the rating shown. Once they discover my best friend works for a contracted DOT company and knows every issue one may encounter, they trust me above their Tom-Tom. They have my business and absolute support. I am appalled by the sexual accusation as that is a police matter not a mentally ill person's accusation. Just don't drink and the world is so much more clear. I know 'party-rides' are the most hated of any service so one must consider their own behavior. read more

I wouldn't send this company to pick up my dog let alone a human being. I gave them 2 chances and they failed both. I would like to leave no stars. Unreliable is an understatement. We had an appointment for my mom to be picked up at Hospice to come to a family cookout. She was going to get to see nieces she hasn't seen in 6 years. They were to pick her up at 11:00 am and bring her to my house. They said they called but I don't have a record on my call log showing it. I call at 12:20 and ask where my mom is and why she hasn't been picked up. They then inform me the manager was going to call me in a bit. He did and he told me they had no driver available. An hour and half past the time she was supposed to be picked up and they have no driver. I called Saturday afternoon to confirm pickup and the guy guaranteed me it was all good. My mom missed most of the cookout due to their irresponsibility. My 83 year old father and 2 others went and picked her up on their own. Something we could have done if we knew this company wasn't going to get her. I will not recommend them to anyone. The last time was 2 weeks ago we tried using them. That time they were almost 3 hours late. Not sure how they stay in business. read more

Do not RELY on this company!! We were in town for a concert. We were told they would be running their party busses from hotel to hotel as a shuttle service and then would take everyone to the uni dome for the concert and would run after the concert to bring everyone back to their hotel. They charged $10.00 per person, each way, but never showed up to pick everyone back up! We were dropped off and told to return to the same location for pick up, but in doing so we had no ride waiting. There were 2 busses that showed up, but upon trying to enter we were told they were reserved and quickly turned away. We waited AN HOUR AND A HALF in the cold trying to get a ride back to our hotel. There were HUNDREDS of people waiting to be picked up and due to relying on this company, everyone was stranded. Horrible service! read more

DO NOT USE THIS TAXI SERVICE!!!! If you have a time sensitive trip or if you make a reservation, this service will NOT get you there or validate they have picked up the right party. My hotel used this company to arrange a taxi for an early flight out of Waterloo. This is the only flight in the day. The cab picked up the wrong person without verifying the reservation name. read more

I would NEVER recommend this cab service, you'd be better off walking where ever you need to go! The hospital staff called us a cab and said it'd be "20 minutes". A hour and 35 minutes later, after multiple times of calling and getting hung up on, the cab FINALLY showed up. We were still charged full price for the ride and to top it off the driver said the card reader was not working and we would need to go into the gas station and pull out cash.
