Driver came from Waterloo,IA to Eden Prairie, Mn to pickup up my mother at 8:30 & bring her to an appointment for a minor but possibly lengthy surgical procedure! The surgery center was 3 miles away. He was on time, courteous & helpful. He assisted with transferring her onto the gurney, buckled her in & safely secured her in the van. I called the driver when she was done & he came immediately. I only gave 4 stars because the stretcher brakes were worn out & non functioning. Overall our experience was positive. read more

We had someone waiting in our lobby for 30+ minutes when her appointment took about 5 minutes. She has an oxygen tank and she is in a wheelchair. We had to call twice and they told us it could be another hour. They could easily wait for her to be done and take back but left her stranded with us for 30+. Wish they would wait for people like this. It is just sad that they drop them off and leave. read more

Iowa Total care scheduled transportation for me for my DR appointment today at 9:45. Their dispatcher kayla lied to me twice when I inquired about the driver. Then she refused to answer the phone. the driveer did not arrive until 9:50 long past my appointment time, claiming he had just received the trip which is a lie. I have had them red flagged with Iowa Total care and I have filed a complaint with the Iowa DOT and the city of Waterloo for non compliance. DO NOT EVER USE THEM For Any Reason! read more

I give them less than zero stars. Late for pickup. Double booked and left another patient stranded while transporting us. Our particular driver was great but disgruntled & frustrated with the company. The van was dirty, falling apart, cracked windshield, 349,000 miles on it and screeches from metal on metal were horrid. This service is a joke. First experience they were late to pick us up for a doctor's appointment. Then stranded us at the doctor's office for 2 and a half hour after the appointment ended. My father was in so much pain waiting on them. Second experience they were to pick us up at the hospital and take us to a skilled nursing facility. We are still waiting 2 hours after they were to be here. Employees are so rude. They are specializing in wheelchair transportation for disabled people. They are in the wrong profession. They are just plain mean. My rating is a negative 1000 stars. read more

Everyone associated with this company is rude, obnoxious and extremely late. They left me walking. Worst thing is, their vehicles are just filthy! I don't think sanitation is very important to them. I will never in life call them. This trip was supposed to be arranged through insurance, they broke the contract with Humana when they failed to either show up, or answer the phone. This is the worse service I have ever had. They was a half hour late getting me to my appoinment late. The Taxi stunk and was filty as hell, the seats was covered in puke and god knows what. I would never use this transportation service for anyone who lives in Cedar Rapids, IA or anyone who needs to be picked up and transported to and from ANY medical appointments or procedures. As a nurse at a hospital, I've seen many patients late for their appointments and having to stay well after they are discharged- due to this particular taxi service that our government pays for and requires low income to use. You get what you pay for. Don't use Dolly's unless you HAVE to & if you do; request your pick up 2hours or more in advance! read more

I had a third party payer -(business account) schedule my travel the morning. The driver called and let me know he would be there in 5 minutes and I acknowledged that via phone. Upon meeting the cab outside the Driver demanded to know how I was going to make payment. I said it was paid by the business and scheduled by them. He said it wasn't true and started raising his voice and waving his clip board in the air that I need to make payment. I asked several times for him to call dispatch and it was only when I picked up my phone to do so he called and verified that it was indeed scheduled on a business account. I asked dispatch for another driver because he was so rude and yelling at me. I told the driver and dispatch I felt his behavior was abusive. I did not feel comfortable riding with him. No other driver was available and dispatch over the radio said his driver is not abusive. If I want to make my appointment I have to ride with him, which I did only out of necessity. The driver continues to insult me personally with no apologies for his error or demanding payment when it wasn't due. I called dispatch on my way home to verify a second stop was already approved and communicated by the business account and requested not to send the first driver. Dispatch confirmed my additional stop as was planned to my understanding. New driver came that was very nice but she wasn't aware of the circumstances of the second stop.. I had just called the taxi company explained in detail and confirmed this. The new driver called dispatch before totally agreeing to what I had asked making me feel like she was going to just drop me off and leave me. This situation was resolved quickly when she communicated with dispatch but, it was unexpected and uncomfortable adding to a already frustrating morning. This cab company arrives on time as scheduled which is appreciated. The customer service and basic communication is lacking that causes problems that do not need to happen. If it's my choice I will never use this service again. read more

I was in Waterloo for the Irish festival and used Dolly's all three days. GREAT service and great drivers.

ZERO stars. Driver never showed up!! No phone call or notification. Ordered a midnight taxi to get to Des Moines airport. Driver was suppose to show up at 2:45am since our flight was leaving at 5:50am. We tried calling the business number several times seeing as how they are available "24 hours" and no answer. Finally when we got a hold of someone, the lady was very rude and asked, "why didn't you call us? What number did you call?" We told her we did several times and she said they "didn't receive the call." She then tried calling the driver herself and said she could not get a hold of him or her and that they would not be able to take us to the airport. Missed our first and connecting flight. Would not recommend this service to anyone. Check the reviews on google too. Similar problems. read more

Our son called Dolly's several times in order to arrange for a taxi to the airport in order to come home for the holidays. There was no answer, so he kept leaving messages, but no one returned his calls. Finally someone picked up and said they would get back to him shortly to set up a pick-up time. They never got back to him....and again never answered their phone. In desperation, he had to call the mover who moved him into his apartment a few months ago, who kindly took him to the airport to catch his flight. Checking with the local hotels, they are also having trouble with Dolly's for their guests. Stay clear...you may be stranded if you use them. read more
