I have sat on this review for about 6 months because I wanted to make sure that the used car I helped my daughter purchase lived up to the expectations. I have to admit that dealing with car salesmen is one of the most uncomfortable experiences I have to do. I know just enough about cars to ask good questions and understand most of the issues, but I am also lacking enough knowledge to feel completely comfortable with my decision. My discomfort was compounded by the fact that I was negotiating while my 19 year old daughter was present. She and I had very different goals .... she wanted "cute" and I wanted reliable. Long story short, this dealership had a car that met both of our requirements. There was no hard sell, the price was fair and the car has been a solid, reliable vehicle. I would definitely do business with these guys again.

Please read full review…read more I bought a 2005 Volvo S40 T5 from them in February 2013 and I've nothing but problems since. Because I paid what the car was worth and not what they wanted for the car I did not receive a warranty. Ok, if I'm buying a good car I shouldn't need a 30 day warranty anyway so I should be safe. The car made it 75 days when the head gasket went. The car was in the shop for two months after the head gasket repair because of a timing code. I then had to take it to a Volvo dealer because the first shop couldn't figure out what was wrong. The out come is a junk engine that needs to be replaced. That aside you really can't predict mechanical failure so let me move on to the "Brand new tires". They were hung up on the new tires that they had put on, and pushed quite a bit during the sale. After a short time it would appear that an alignment was never done, so my new tires started cupping. After blowing off some steam in this review and being quite frustrated with my situation, my wife decided to call the dealer just to inform them of what was going on. The owner Derek was quick to respond to her and talk through the issue, but quite frankly Lake City doesn't owe us anything. Because I did not receive a warranty as part of the bargaining process and I would have been beyond the warranty time line anyway. What happened next is the surprise and how every person should run a business. Derek contacted me and said that he would have the tires replaced because it's obvious that something was not right. AND because he wants to take care of his customers the best he can, he's going to give me some money towards the engine replacement. I really appreciate Lake City Exports' customer loyalty and the help that they have given me, above and beyond what they should have. If you ever purchase a vehicle from them and have an issue large or small contact them right away and I'm sure they'll help if they can. Thank you Lake City for your customer care.

Bought my truck with just over 80,000, (just voiding their extended warranty that goes until…read more80,000), for around $26,000 listed price. (Under 100 miles over 80,000) Timing chain went on truck within 2 months. IWE system started being noisey within a month and half. Still isn't right after the dealer has looked at it 3 times. And when I called and asked if they could just hook me up with a mechanic that could get in sooner than the dealer, (I literally stated I don't expect them to do a thing for me as I'm outside their warranty), I got "what do you expect us to do for you". Did end up calling his mechanic who basically told me their first apt availability was a month out. I would say "Buy with confidence" anywhere else and I truly hope this helps someone in the future when looking at their motto.

Lee GMC Truck Center - Totally in love with my new Sierra Denali! Thanks to every at Lee GMC, what a great experience!

On 10/26/2018 I purchased a 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Diesel, this was after several months of…read moreresearch before I narrowed down what I wanted. I then went to three different dealerships to see what was available and to test drive some of the trucks. All my visits were drop in "cold visits" I didn't know anyone). One dealer was too far for me to consider purchase (service issues later) and the other dealer salesman was a turn-off within the first 5-minutes (too salesy). When I went to Lee GMC in Auburn, I met Don Leclair (happened to be outside when I was looking at trucks), he was laid-back, asked what I was looking for and got me into a couple of test rides without a lot of questions (like the other guy). Once it came time to purchase, I was the one with 20 questions and Don answered then all and in the end I got the truck I was looking for! The overall experience was great, given the stress of buying a truck that was almost as much as my first house! Both Don and Scott Clement (fiance) were great to deal with! Thanks again guys! Don G.

I own a 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation. I have had issues with this truck from day 1. I bought it brand…read morenew. I had transmission issues right off the bat. It was excessive oil right off the bat. I took it in and was told it's normal for these trucks. I told them they were wrong but they just blew it off. 80k miles later transmission goes out. Still using oil. Explained that to them again and they couldn't find anything wrong. Had extended warranty to cover truck to 120k, 123k front and rear main seals go out. Kept the truck serviced on time every oil change. Truck never made it to the next scheduled change without adding 2 quarts from day 1. Made an appointment for the seals to get fixed. They quoted me and sent me the link. No parts listed. I'm a decent mechanic. I knew exactly what they had to do. They charged me excessive hours at 164.00 an hour. They charged me for a seal housing I didn't need. Their top tech said he had problems with the seal rolling when reusing the rear seal housing. My only answer for this is he didn't know what he was doing. You align the housing with a special tool and get it exact. Then replace the seal. Most can do this without issues. But not Lee GmC. It's common knowledge GMC has a LoT more issues with their trucks and cars than most other brands. Any dealership will treat you like their best friend to get you're business. I googled " why does GMC vehicles have so many issues?". Here's the response. "GMC vehicles are often reported to have issues like transmission problems, excessive oil consumption, poor visibility due to headlight design, and issues with heating and air conditioning systems, with some of the most common complaints centering around transmission failures, particularly in models like the Acadia and Sierra, which can occur around the 100,000-mile mark; these issues are often attributed to the overall design and quality control of General Motors vehicles, which GMC falls under, leading to concerns about reliability compared to other brands." I'm sure I'll get the sympathetic BS generic response to this review from Mr Lee. Buyer beware! If you own a GMC I hope you have better Luck than I've had. If I were you, I'd trade it in before the warranty runs out. I spent 3 weeks without a ride because these clowns couldn't provide me a loaner. They are reserved for warranty people apparently. If I could give this dealership negative stars I would. I'm going to copy and paste this review on every social media site I can find. I'll renew it weekly so it stays on top. Good luck America!
