Indy is a rescue and her vet recommended a little extra socializing and activity. Yuppy Puppy absolutely fits the bill! She can't get in there fast enough when she is dropped off in the morning, and always comes home completely tuckered out. We have also boarded her there and she does great every time. When the girl came, I talked to her about it and said I didn't want her shaved completely bald to do it like the next little level up? She brought me back a cat who had had a bath. It was about $186 for her to give my cat a bath. When I questioned her about it, she said she Fought the cat had been through too much and she did not advise working on her again so soon. When I complained, they offered to have the same person come the next morning. That person had told me not to do it so soon. And I had also just complained about her so I wasn't comfortable with her handling the cat. They are now refusing to refund her money. We were willing to pay for the convenience, but all this has been is a hassle and I now have to make another grooming appointment somewhere else. Don't use them. We continued to pay with cash most of the time and tipped accordingly. A Reasonable exchange, right? On September 19, 2024, I picked up our dog and was charged $128.00 for bath and groom. When asked to check the charge, I was informed that there was a $50 charge added to my bill because of a missed appointment. The extra Charge was the "thanks" we received for being loyal, cash-paying, and tipping customers. We had never missed an appointment in over 8 years. Is this any way to treat long-term customers? I could understand if we were repeat offenders, received warnings in the past, or even had difficult dogs. I choose not to do business with any business that is not reasonable and appreciative of my business. Is "Yips and Yaps" grown too big to care? You decide for yourself when it happens to you.

I will start off with I know my dog is scared of dryers. I let the groomer know this as well. She…read morewas given a sedative an hour before hand. I dropped off my dog and got a call 30 minutes later saying she "cannot continue to groom her because she is too much" and she has to be picked up right now. My dog was not growling or biting, no, she couldn't continue her groom because she was scared of the dryer and got squirmy. I go to pick up my dog, and I knew she was going to be shorter than I like because she had gotten some matting from playing in snow, but this was down to the skin, and patchy, large spots never got touched or attempted to be groomed. I was so upset I just had to leave. When I got home I took her out of the car and I saw that there was blood on the ground from two terribly cut nails that are awful. I was never told about this. But if you injure my dog, wether it was her being squirmy or not it's your JOB to do this, and you should at least tell me! Simply put, if your looking for a groomer that will get about 3/4 of the way done with an already mediocre at best cut, possibly injure your animal, and then still charge you for it this is your place! Otherwise I would look literally anywhere else.
