Joseph Breen is an expert mason…read more He works your job - he doesn't "stop in" for 20 minutes to supervise...he's out there with his team, making everything perfect. And when Joe talks perfect, he's talking a very high standard. He is fair, dependable, and cares deeply about the stone work. On top of everything else, he's an entertaining guy to be around and you can learn a lot if you keep your ears open. He has completed two jobs for our family - one over ten years ago, and another recently. His workmanship stands the test of time, and he has a very good eye for detail and proportion. He and his crew are neat, and concerned about your property. All of his employees have been with him for a while, and they're all nice people. If you go strictly by price you can probably beat Joe with other contractors. But if you care about your old stone house or wall, or want an authentic addition or patio, he is as good as it comes. The lack of BS and attention to detail is worth far more than the premium he commands as one of Philadelphia's finest craftsmen.

Mark and everyone who worked on the house were great. Mark did a thorough walkthrough before the job to let me know what was going to be done and what it was going to cost. He set up the days where the guys would come in and they were on time and everything was cleaned at the end of each day. They did a walkthrough with me after the job to show me what was done, and Mark called me the next day to make sure that everything was done well. I hope that I do not need to have more work done to the house for a while, but if I do I will definitely give them a call.

I worked with the Grimaldi team when I moved in to my home in southern NJ back in 2016. They did…read moresome joist reinforcements, remodeled a bathroom, covered fascia boards on my roof, and repaired cracked cinderblocks. Since then, I've discovered all the things that were wrong with the job - the latest of which was today: 1) They beam reinforcements broke through my upstairs floor, so it's not level and we've had to build over and around it since (they used a steel i-beam, so not able to replace or repair easily); 2) The cinder block repairs were unnecessary- what I needed was a foundation repair; 3) They broke boards in the floor while jacking the ceiling and did a shoddy job throwing 2x4 in place that wasn't flush with the floor; 4) In the bathroom, they didn't repair the toilet properly, so I had three wax rings and a toilet that was connected to nothing (started leaking into my ceiling last week, now getting repaired properly by a plumber). 5) When they did the work, because I paid Mark up front, what should have been done in a few weeks took about three months. He'd go for long periods with his guys not showing up before they'd come back. Having now done more real estate investing and remodeling, I recognize that he was probably upside down on cash flow and was doing jobs to keep paying his guys and slotting us in where he could. There are some other items, but I strongly recommend that you look for another contractor for any serious job you do.

They left the front door open while working in the basement, prompting a friend to call me to check if I was home. When I got home I found the front door unlocked and tracked cement and dry wall throughout my entire ground floor. They also dumped their unused cement in my planter boxes. On top of everything being covered in dust, one of them had explosive diarrhea, covered my toilet in feces and left their soiled underwear in my bathroom. I was absolutely appalled by their lack of professionalism and how unsanitary their practices were. John pretended to be very apologetic and assured me he would pay for cleaning services at the end of the project. It's been weeks now of me trying to get a hold of John, but he's been ignoring all of my calls and texts. This has been an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. 0/10 do not recommend their services at all.

We've been battling water leakage in our living room for years. We've had several contractors…read more(roofing, window, etc) try to find the source of the problem to no avail. Ultimately they suggested it could be a problem with the stones in the wall. Disciple came out, recommended a strategy of replacing a couple of stones, re-pointing the rest of the area and applying sealant over the whole section. Work was scheduled promptly. The guys were very friendly and professional. The job was finished within 10 days (mortar needed to cure before sealant could be applied) and it looks great. Now we have to wait for a horrific rainstorm to see if that solves the problem.

After another week of no contact, I called back again and spoke to a man named Nathan who told me that he would follow up with me (you guessed it) "later that day or the next". Still no call or text. Very frustrating as it's raining a lot lately and we want our external stucco wall repaired before any water damage occurs. I guess maybe they don't need my business? Can't say anything about their work but this customer service experience makes me question their reliability and attention to detail. Your experience may vary, but this was mine, for what it's worth.

I would highly recommend Teva Landscaping! 100 stars…read more When planning my front yard landscaping, I reached out to 3 companies. They were highly rated and the pictures were beautiful, however the conversation with those landscapers were so dull. Then Ami arrived! When I asked him for advice and delivered ideas, I was greeted with optimism and great imagination! Ami is quite artful (even in his personality and words) and knowledgeable about his craft. Very fun and comforting to work with. I made a huge mistake by adding about 480 cubic feet of dirt along the bordering gate in my backyard - naively hoping to build an XXXL raised garden bed. Ami was the only professional who disagreed. All the dirt was removed from the gate the next day! He indeed saved me from damaging my gate and losing tons of money in months to come. His insight is trustworthy. Regarding execution, the work was done incredibly fast and well. Ami's crew is friendly, considerate and even thoughtful about some parts of my yard that wasn't even discussed. Very proactive and kind. You can tell very clearly, the mindset of Teva Landscaping is focused on beauty, holistic design, and efficiency. The office is quickly responsive and polite via phone and email, too. I plan on expanding and beautifying my backyard/side yard with Teva Landscaping after this upcoming winter season passes. Thank you!
